I received a letter to smog my vehicle and found this shop that was local to me. I called and asked if they were accepting walk-ins, which Tarek replied yes. When I arrived, I was greeted by Tarek with a big smile on his face. He welcomed me and got to work. He finished the inspection promptly, all while engaging in conversation. He provided me my inspection report and informed me that it would be sent electronically to the DMV and nothing further is needed on my part. This is one of those rare occurrences where everyone on Yelp can agree on a business' rating. The technician is an honest and simple man, who loves cars and not tamales. The last sentence reveals a lot of information but what's most important is that he's good and honest. A person we should all strive to be like. That being said, he asks that you pull your vehicle perpendicular to his small shop's entrance where he'll administer the test. I was done in about 15-20 min, passed, and was charged 50 bucks. There are cheaper spots around but I didn't want to pay less to have them say that I needed some fake or false repairs. He's too honest so I'm still on the lookout for a shop that I can just pay to pass for when emission standards become so ridiculous that people will have to pay if they want to fart. read more
