This is my first review on Yelp. Unfortunately my fix is unresolved. I went to the shop to get a…read morefaulty cd recorder repaired, on June 11th. The problem was that the disc trays would not open nor play discs. I was quoted a price to make the unit work and I agreed to the charges. The owner didn't mention a parts/labor breakdown, just the final cost. The owner told me I wouldn't pay if it didn't work. about 3 weeks later, the recorder was ready and i picked it up. I couldn't test the unit onsite nor did I have reason to doubt the work performed so I paid. It has been nearly 2 months later and at least 4 trips back to the store only to hear that he didn't diagnose the problem right originally and I now have to pay for parts in order for him to proceed. When I asked for a refund for what I paid so far, he denied and said he doesn't refund labor charges. On several occasions, he simply forgot to call me back for updates along the way. The CD recorder's second tray is the one that won't record, won't recognize audio blank cdr, nor play regular cds. He still has the recorder. As far as I'm concerned, the job is half done because he did repair the trays from opening but the record-side doesn't play nor record. I am out of options seeing as how my cd recorder is still at his shop and he won't continue work unless I pay more. I understand these are obsolete components but the misdiagnosis after i had already paid and he won't refund the money, left me feeling ripped off. I hope future customers have better luck. For what it's worth, the owner and staff are friendly.

His customer service was 5 stars and by all the people that were coming in to pick up their electronics I could tell he was a very fair and genuine person (not like other phone repair businesses I've gone to). Mobile iPhone Repair was the only place in the area that did not close at 5pm on a Friday night. My iPhone 14 Pro Max kept restarting on its own where I couldn't get to my Home Screen and I plugged it into iTunes and it went into restore mode with black screen and the laptop & charging cable icon. When I arrived Angel assessed my phone and advised I had a bad battery. After putting in a new battery, he plugged it into iTunes and it still wanted to go to the restore settings instead of "update". He did advise me it was probably going to erase everything which I was already fine with I just needed the phone to turn on. After going through with the process my phone turned and I was able to still access everything which was amazing! It was a 50/50 shot but a chance I was willing to take. That's when they informed me that the phone was still attached to a payment plan on someone else's account. At the same time I took a phone for repair. They broke the screen, tore up the battery, and damaged some connectors inside. I walked in with a working phone and walked out with my phone In pieces. Thankfully I found a shop that was able to fix all of the damage and get my phone working $305 later. I told the worker SAL about what happened and his response was "I thought my tech knew how to fix phones". I told him what's done is done reimburse me for the damage that was done by the shop. He text me they would Zelle me the refund for the damage. They never send the refund so now I have to waste my time taking him to small claims. It's honestly not worth my time but it's about the principle of saying something will be done and then not doing it. I have the text where he acknowledges damaging it. He says he will get it paid for and he never did so wha was going to be $305 and everyone walks away fine now gets dragged out and fees get added to the small claim. Once I get paid the amount owed to me I will remove this review and go on my merry way.
