It actually looks pretty good but this was honestly disappointing. I've had better reheated frozen pizza. The potatoes were absolutely amazing, but that was the highlight. Customer service was fine, but ordering online was a hassle. I really hope this was just a bad night, because the pizza itself missed the mark. I have been a customer here once a week (every week) for the last 11 months. The pizza and breadsticks have always been delicious HOWEVER, I am finding out that the pizza bakers do NOT always pay attention to the order ticket requests! I'm originally from the Midwest and enjoy my pizza cut into squares instead of pie shaped. This location has an issue with my request for square cut. Today was the 5th time that they cut my 13" pizza into the pie shape.BUT THEN THEY SAW MY REQUEST FOR SQUARE CUT AND WENT BACK TRIED TO CUT IT INTO SQUARE PIECES OVER THE ALREADY CUT PIE SHAPE!!!! So what I received was a mishmash cut pizza. If that wasn't frustrating enough... I requested HALF PEPPERONI AND HALF CHICKEN. What I received was all pepperoni and half chicken. I very seldom am offered a receipt...guess from now on I will have to demand a receipt. Unfortunately, I am the only pepperoni lover in my family. We were forced to remove the chicken THEN remove the pepperoni on half of the mishmashed cut pizza, then replace the chicken on the half where the pepperoni was removed. We then had to try to reheat the pizza in the oven.....omg...what a disaster!! Needless to say this pizza the worst I have ever gotten fron this location! Generally Abby's is my favorite. I have had good pizza time and time again. This time was not good. We ordered a taco pizza delivered. It was on time and the delivery person was nice. The pizza was burnt and dry and salty... It is disappointing to know that they would send that out when there really is no recourse in the moment for people who paid extra to have it delivered plus tip... Okay pizza, some interesting combos other than just the classics. Thin crust was a bit crackery, but okay. Lots of toppings, chopped uniformly in pretty small pieces. If it weren't for the ambience, noted below, I would've given this place at least another star. Biggest problem seems to be that the place smells. Sort of like an old hotel smell, not quite urine, not quite unvacuumed floors, but certainly like they need to shampoo the carpets and maybe clean the tables with some strong Clorox based cleaner. I went when the place was actually almost empty, I can't imagine what it would smell like with 50 bodies in it during a rush. Maybe they rely on the smell of the pepperoni to cover it up, but it is mildly disconcerting when I walk into a restaurant and it smells sort of like a restroom toilet cake. read more

Coos Bay Or. We were disappointed this time. Always look forward to enjoying our pizza..Not this time..topping was good as usual..but the crust was badly burnt. Yuk ! Tasted like old crackers when they are stale...Told the server it was burnt and she said " oh you have to tell them you want the crust lightly baked ". Anyone who has known me for more than a day has probably heard me extol the virtues of Round Table Pizza. I'll skip my worn out ode to "The Last Honest Pizza" here, but I bring it up, because Abby's "Legendary" Pizza seemed suspiciously like what happens when someone fails miserably at copying Round Table. From the logo to the style of pizza to the oddly thin cut slices, it really seems like Abby's tried to bring the Round Table concept to Oregon. Unfortunately, while imitation is thr sincerest form of flattery, it is not the sincerest form of success. Missing the spices, proper cheese mix, and really any flavor to the sauce, Abby's was a complete dud. Adding to the disappointment, neither my dinner nor my leftovers settled well in my stomach, which is just what you want to deal with when you're on vacation. On a positive note, the staff were very nice, but that doesn't make up for the genuinely un-legendary pizza. And that's my last, honest word on the matter. read more

We have enjoyed Abby's in Coos Bay for a long time: the staff is friendly; they always make things right if there's a problem and often go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Until Saturday last. We came in to have what has become our favorite combination: a particular number of substitutions customizing a menu item that was actually suggested by a staff member at this very location earlier this year. We have shown a photo of the receipt showing the customizations to have the very same pizza made at the Roseburg - both locations - and Florence restaurants in addition to multiple times in Coos Bay. For the first time in the better part of the year we were told the manager said these substitutions couldn't be done and that we had to pay of each one as an addition, which almost doubled the price of the pizza. Excellent pizza! This place was absolutely yummy! Wish there was were more Abby's. We need one in Salem, Oregon. It was the first time ever having a PHILLY CHEESE STEAK PIZZA and now it's my favorite. My children ordered the Abby and Greek. They have good marinara and white sauces. Arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday evening in July. My husband has never experienced an Abby's, but he loves thin crust pizza, so I made sure we ate here whilst on vacation. As expected, he loved it. He also mentioned that he's never seen so much pepperoni put on a pizza. The breadsticks were also cooked perfectly and tasted like bread sticks. I was a little bummed that this particular Abby's didn't offer the open salad bar that Abby's is known for. I love their salad bar, and will often choose Abby's just to eat the salad. If you are like me, you will be somewhat disappointed walking in to this particular Abby's. But if you are just wanting the pizza and a few games for the kids to play on, this place is perfect for you. The price is definitely a little spendy for pizza, but it's also comparable to what other establishments are charging. I guess even pizza costs can get inflated. read more

Some of the best pizza in town...really some of the best in the Northwest, as long as you tell them how to cook it. Their original crust is part of what makes this pizza, but their dough was originally formatted for a traditional flat pizza oven, and it doesn't cook properly in their rotisserie ovens, leaving the crust soft and doughy instead of firm and crunchy (this is a problem at all Abby's). However, if you have them cook the pizza well done it usually comes out good. Some time in the recent past they have changed up a couple things that I personally find annoying. Their restaurants used to have historic local pictures hanging in them, and made the places feel local and part of the community. Now they have replaced their historic community pictures with giant pictures of their specialty pizzas...very sad and uninviting. Something else they've done, that I've personally found annoying, is they've changed the names of their pizza sizes after using the same size names for 40+ years. Despite my complaints, I will still frequent this place as long as I can get their pizza to taste something like the pizza of my childhood. read more

Stopped in for pizza as I was driving through town: ordered the Xtreme Meat Pizza (and yes, it was extremely meaty). They piled it high with all the meats: they crisped the tops and baked the crust to yummy goodness before serving it. I really enjoyed it. Iced Tea is made from powder: yuck! Was in town for a wedding super excited to have Abby's since the town I live in doesn't have one. The pizza was good and the staff was nice. The floor was a little dirty. The service was really fast. My biggest complaint was that didn't have the ranch I love so much. Instead they had these pre-made packets and it wasn't the same I was sorely disappointed I thought maybe this was just this location but when I recently went into a Klamath falls location (the one I grew up with ) they too had these new gross packets of ranch I won't be stopping in much any more. I've been going to the Coos Bay Abby's for about 10 years. They seem to have a consistent quality, and it's one of my favorite pizza spots in the Coos Bay Area. My favorites are Abby's Special, Roasted Garlic, and their Taco Pizza. The atmosphere is pretty standard. It's basically just a big room with tables. It can be a bit loud at times, but it's family friendly and well, it's a pizza parlor, not a high end romantic dining experience. I think it's a bit expensive for a pizza place. It's hard to get out of there for under $30, but they don't skimp on ingredients, so I guess you get what you pay for. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They seem to be taking the necessary Covid precautions, so I appreciate that. Overall, good crusts, lots of toppings, tastes great. They even have a couple of brews on tap...What more do you need from a pizza place? If you want something that's really good and a bit different, try the Roasted Garlic, it's really delicious! read more

I'm always surprised when a national franchised pizza chain delivers a product that exceeds expectations. Even if my standards may be below what I'd expect from an independent place serving custom pizzas, I can't argue with a quality product, regardless of the source. First it was Pappa Johns in the Florida Keys, today it was Abby's in Coos Bay. I called for delivery and asked what their meat lovers (or their version - I think it was 'meat orgasm' or something like that) and decided it was more than I wanted. I went with a medium pepperoni, Italian sausage, onion, and pineapple (yes, I said pineapple). I was a bit concerned when they said delivery would take 1 to 1.25 hours as I waited until I was hungry to order instead of anticipating. Which means I was getting real hungry, real fast. However, it actually arrived in about 50 minutes - SWEET! Best of all, it was a damn good pizza with nice, no mush, a combo of chewy and crunchy crust. Fresh and well balanced ingredients. Could have used more onion but, I would eat at this Abby's again, without hesitation! Oh, one more thing.......the delivery included paper plates, grated Parmesan, and Pepper flake packets. That shows me they think ahead when delivering to a hotel (yeah I know! What are the odds a business would do that?!) This was a long review, I think I'll have another slice of pizza! read more

Sauce is terrible so bland it tastes like nothing, the dough is cardboard, is there cheese on it, not too sure? The salad bar was a disaster, and to top it off the worst dressings I've ever tasted we literally spit it out. No it was not busy. I've been to several Abby's locations along the Oregon coast over the last decade or so. In fact, Abby's is the only chain pizza place where I'll voluntarily eat. That being said, there is something wrong with the oven at this location - or at least there was over Labor Day weekend. My wife and I stopped in to get a medium pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives. Simple, three topping pizza, none of them too thick, no extra cheese, not exceptionally wet. It's a good easy pizza for most places. This one was raw, from about 1/8" up from the bottom to the top it wasn't even warm. No crispy edges around the pepperoni slices, no wrinkly edges on the black olives, no melty cheese - raw and cold. And they served it to us, at the table. We took it back and asked that it be baked again (while listening in on calls from angry delivery customers who seemed to also be complaining that their pizzas had been sent out raw). Even after they baked it a second time, the top of the pizza still wasn't hot - but the bottom was starting to burn. We took it home, baked it again, and then ate it. read more

Food wasn't the best, arcade games are rigged the candy claw game is play till u win yet u can't win do to the fact the claw closes too fast and most the time it closed before it hit the ground. It was stealing from children I witnessed a 3. Yr old girl spend 1.50 on that game and not win anything. The pizza was ok we got the A1 steak pizza it was 99% mushroom but it was quite good. This review deals with the Abby's in Coos Bay, but since this is a chain, it's all the same ol' same ol' if you get my drift. I custom-ordered a pizza with extra sauce, which I CRAVE on my pizzas. The price was around $26 and I didn't get the extra sauce I expected. Matter of fact I couldn't hardly find a trace of sauce! Being a fool for pizza and wanting to give the joint another chance since I did enjoy it back in the 1970's, I tried again and got exactly the same as before. You make it my way or else I write you off folks! It's my money paying your salary and if you don't accomodate me, you don't get the moolah. The customer is king and all that! You can get a bit better pizza for several dollars less by going to Gino's. Pay just a bit more and get your pizza perfect with quality ingredients as well as PERFECTLY made to order at Dave's Pizza. Both of those places are in next door North Bend and I'll enjoy my b-day dinner at Dave's this year with my family and friends. Back when I lived in Utah, there was a place called $5 Pizza and they served you a medium-sized pizza with everything on it for $5 delivered or $4 if you picked it up. You told these guys what you didn't want...LOL! These guys sold pizza hand over fist for $20 less than the high priced idiots at Abby's and made a profit. I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF!!! I'll pay good money for good pizza made the way I want it but I'll never ever spend a dime at Abby's as they failed the test with me not once but twice. Add to that the fact their Canadian Bacon isn't Canadian Bacon at all. It's made from turkey! With only Bush Beef being offered for the beef toppings instead of quality organic/local source meats, I want my Canadian Bacon, which I use to avoid the Bush Beef, to be The Real Thing, not some lousy imitation. For your pizza dollar, you can spend much less and do just as good or spend the same and get much better than Abby's offers. read more
