Angelo's Italy is a lovely place in Bandon, I do my best to make a stop here anytime I'm in town. The food is delicious, and the menu is updated weekly via the restaurant's Facebook page-- with that, I do recommend checking ahead of time! It's great to see Angelo's memory being kept alive through his family and restaurant. The family recipes are so delicious and a delightful bite! That said, food is cooked to order and they put a lot of care into their product. This is a place to enjoy and take your time, especially as the live music plays. The food is well worth the wait, and the wait is objectively not very long. I have seen varying needs related to reservations; the place is pretty small and intimate, and can be busy at times to where reservations can be helfpul. Other times, like my most recent time, we had a reservation but there was not any wait for a table while we were there. The staff are incredibly friendly and the live music is fantastic-- definitely a place to check out when you're in Bandon! :) read more

What a waste of time & $. Arrived at 7pm last week. One other table occupied by a young couple, eating. Waited for 15 minutes to be greeted & get menus. Very rude waitress/owner on both our visits. Food is good and a nice atmosphere but returning a third time would just be asking for abuse again. This lady appears not to like people and does not care how she treats you. We waited a long time for our food watching others who arrived after us get theirs and when I asked her how ours was doing she was just simply rude. When the food did eventually arrive she never explained or apologized for how long it took and completely ignored us the rest of our meal including when we left and she was right next to us. The single bathroom garbage can was piled full with used paper towels despite us being one of the first customers to arrive when they open at 5.30pm. Can't tell you about the food or atmosphere, They never opened. Online and posted hours stated they were opening at 5pm. Called at 5:30 to make sure we had the right place. A polite woman answered, and stated they would be in at 6:30 or maybe 7:00. Touristy beach town and we were off season. Stay closed or just open on the weekends. Side note. MAKE A RESERVATION. The place is very small so a reservation is a must. They accept walk-ins but again the restaurant seating is very limited. We called the restaurant and made a reservation same day for dinner on a Thursday at 7:45pm were seated right away when we got there. We were told me had to eat here while in Bandon and we were very happy did. The pasta was delicious and cooked perfectly! The service style is very laid back and not trying to rush you, so be prepared to be there for at least a hour. Tortellini ai Quattro Formaggi, the four Italian cheese sauce ( Alfredo sauce) was some of the best tasting Alfredo sauce I've had in awhile. Spicy penne with marinara, you can pick you leave of spicy we ordered the hot and it was spicy and delicious! Although our waiter was quite nice he just couldn't make up for the wannabe Italian food. Both my husband & I ordered the classic shrimp scampi which the menu described as having 7 scampi prawns sautéed in a garlic, lemon white wine sauce...yum. What we were served was 5 shrimp in a marinara sauce with olive oil drizzle over the top. Certainly not what we expected or would have ordered if known. My husband was sorely disappointed as he was looking for substantial protein on the menu but Angelo's just didn't offer any. Sadly, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

Well, this one doesn't disappoint either , small , quaint and kinda romantic - Great memorabilia on the walls , the owners met in the 70s , traveled the world (playing music ) , had 10 kids and eventually settled in this cute town on the Oregon coast(I'm sure there's lots more to the story ) , one of the kids actually was playing guitar that night . Worst dining experience ever! The dining room was full so instead of offering us to wait for a table they seated us in this dingy shed off of the main building. The seating was terribly uncomfortable miss matched chairs with filthy seat cushions. Wine and beer selection was a joke, appetizer was sub par, and we waited for over an hour and a half and still no food. NOTHING GOOD HERE! Tasteless marinara and pizza sauce. Service was bad, male toothless server or female that dressed like a clown. Marinara and bread served as an appetizer and both were served ice cold. Pizza was LAME. $38 for a pizza with 8 pieces of pepperoni. Caesar salad for $16 barely had any dressing on it. We went to Angelo's on our last night in Bandon. The restaurant is so cute and they had live music which was really fun. The wine list was good. We got lucky because they had lasagna (it's apparently not always available). The lasagna was amazing!!! We also loved the bruschetta and the seafood pasta. Our server was so nice and helpful. Cute place, but food was barely edible. I had chicken parmesan that was completely dried out and overcooked. I asked for a side of marinara, to add some moisture, and was given a little dish of cold marinara out of the fridge. My husband had a bolognese which tasted like it came out of a can. I had the misfortune of going to this restaurant last night. I had checked out their menu and made arrangements to meet friends for dinner. They advertise online that they open at 5:00, so I arrived at 5:00 only to find out that they don't open the doors until 5:30. . .Okay, no big deal? My friends arrived and we went in, when the menu's arrived a good portion of the menu that I saw online wasn't on the menu I was given? I was all ready for lasagna and when I asked the waitress why it wasn't on the menu, and told her that it's published online. She turned her head and "Snapped" at me, "We only Serve it one week per month and This isn't that week!" Suddenly feeling like two cents looking for change, I resigned myself to having something completely different? My friends ordered a bunch of stuff and they were terribly disappointed in the portion's they were given, especially at over $30.00 per plate, plus the 2 bread plates that they got for $16.00 ea. and desert for them was another $30.00. A cup of the nastiest coffee my friend ever got was $5.00. The cost of food was really expensive. They charged me $29.00 for a plate of Spaghetti that wasn't really that good. I could have made at home for about $5.00, including the meatballs. I wasn't about to pay for anything else, a soft drink was $5.00 on the menu. I wasn't going there! Over all, it would have been a much better experience if the Waitress hadn't been so "In Your Face" Rude to everyone in the building. The Violin player played music so loud that I couldn't carry on a conversation with my friends that were only a couple of feet from me. The food was "Meh" for the most part. This was a really enjoyable, dining experience. We were the last ones into the restaurant without a reservation. The indoor section is very small. I think it had only eight tables. There's also an outdoor section. This restaurant has live music. Both indoors and out. Indoors, there was a man playing guitar throughout the evening. Outside, it seemed a little louder. The food was fabulous. They were really nice to us when we wanted to split a whole salad, and split a meal. And we split a dessert. They separated all of it for us on the two plates, except for the dessert. They gave us two spoons for the dessert. it felt very homey. We were not rushed at all.
