Bryant, Main Street

I would like to give 3 1/2 stars for this review but I'll err on the higher side…read more I got my car detailed as a gift for Mother's Day yesterday. Having done a Yelp event about car detailing I had knowledge and expectations of how the car should be cleaned inside. And my car has been making trips back and forth to Pittsburgh so it really needed a good cleaning. But it wasn't in the category of dirty car horror stories that the car detailer described by any stretch. As I was taught by the zoom program I emptied the entire car of everything before it was taken in for cleaning. I also left all the hidden and not hidden cup holders and compartments open to make sure that they were given the best possible opportunity to get the car as clean as possible. The most important part was the space between the console and the seat. That skinny space you drop things in but can't fit your hand in to clean it up. And of course underneath the seats where the stuff that fell between seat and the console rolled. How did it turn out? Well it was returned to me at about 6:30 at night. It looked good but let me say that I did find a French fry underneath the drivers side seat. They left instructions to leave the windows cracked to let the car dry out. That's not an option if you don't have a garage that locks or a garage at all. Nor should the car be that wet. But in any case I wasn't going to be able to open the windows till this morning. When I got in the car this morning, I thought that I needed to turn on the windshield wipers because the windows were covered in dew or rain. But in fact that rain was on the inside of the car. The windows were so wet in fact that my inspection sticker was soaked and coming off the window and I couldn't drive at all. Even trying to drive wasn't possible with the defrosters on full blast and Kleenex to dry the front window. I had to wait in the driveway for some time till I could get going. When I returned from my errands I took my mats out of the plastic bag and put them on the driveway to dry and left the windows open to dry. I sincerely hope it doesn't rain in my car tomorrow. Overall they did a good job but there shouldn't have been any French fries under anything and the car should definitely have been dryer. What machine are they missing that they should have that would make it possible to have a dry car? They definitely need to invest in that machine.

It's a Friday is 3 PM. I'm not an MNT bank account holder. I went with my personal debit card and my debit card was not returned. I had to be on the phone for 30 minutes just to get a complaint formally submitted. I also went to the MNT on Main Street up the way from Delta sonic they couldn't do anything either. This is unacceptable. The security phone number on the ATM does not do anything. The customer service 800 number doesn't also do anything.

Take 5 Oil Change

I went to Take 5 in West Seneca today to get my oil change done since I was due according to my…read moreservice sticker. When they checked the dipstick before starting, Jordan said that my oil was much too clean to change at this time. Most places would have just changed me oil and not said a word. Matt checked my cabin air filter as long as I was there and it was super dirty so I had them change it since I was there. He also told me I probably had another 3,000 miles left on my current oil. Ayana was very helpful as well getting me checked out and she and Matt made sure I knew about the discounts available when I came back when I actually needed the work done. The honesty and professionalism I saw today is a reminder of why I keep coming back to Take 5 instead of the other "quick oil change" places in the area (of which there are plenty who will never compare!). Thank you so much for your honesty, knowledge and kindness. I'll see you in about 3,000 more miles or so!

This will be a little bit long because I just dealt with this shop for the first time ever and have…read morea lot to say about my experience with them. I work in the diesel industry so I know what makes a shop good and what makes a shop bad, and I definitely have high expectations for shops that I have to go to as a customer. The short version is that I cannot recommend them enough. In all aspects, my experience was fantastic. The long version is that I brought my truck in for some work that I've been neglecting to have done for awhile now. Before even starting the work, they did find a very big and urgent issue with my truck. I had budgeted for the work I wanted done with a little cushion because my truck is old and rusty so I wanted to be safe specifically in the event that they did find additional issues. That being said, the issue they found was much more than I was prepared for. (And yes, when Halie called to tell me about it, she did have pictures on the way to my phone so I could see it myself and confirm the issue.) Halie sent me a quote for everything I had wanted originally + the newfound work I needed, and she specifically quoted me the worst case scenario version so that way I knew what I could be getting into as opposed to her having to call me with more bad news every hour and pushing me past my budget when they were already halfway through the work which I appreciated a lot. They also did their best to do the work right while saving me money where they could, and as a result, my bill did end up coming in a few hundred less than the worst case scenario estimate which was fantastic news. I didn't get a chance to speak with the technician(s) that actually worked on my truck, but me and a mechanic friend of mine peeked at everything afterwards and it does look good! Halie, specifically, was the only one I got to speak to, and she was an absolute delight. Super friendly, on top of the whole preparing me for the worst while looking for the best ways to help me... I was very happy working with her. There was also a delay in the work that they couldn't have prevented, and Halie notified me immediately. So, all around, she's fantastic!! And, finally, I also got an oil change. I wasn't due for one yet but figured I'd get it done now while my truck was down for several days. I find that most shops, whether it's a quick-lube place or an actual repair shop, rush through oil changes. On one hand, I do understand that; they don't make money on the oil changes so it's best to get them in and out as quickly as possible. But I really value shops that pay attention to my truck. The big issue they had found and repaired was something they couldn't have missed if they were blindfolded, but they also took the time to top off my wiper fluid (that's such a small detail but I can't remember the last time I had the rest of my fluids topped off during an oil change service!) and I am about 90% sure they even lubed up my door hinges. This was incredibly long-winded but I just want to make it clear that this shop is fantastic to work with, and if you're looking for somewhere to get work done, this is definitely the place to go!!

That's where I met Tony and Moe, two legends who turned my auto nightmare into something manageable. They didn't sell me the car, but you'd never know it. They jumped in, took on the mess, and handled it with care like it was their responsibility all along. I'm talking catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, a busted turbo, purge valve, flex pipe--you name it, they tackled it. And when new problems came up? They never turned me away, sometimes even helping out at no charge just to keep me safe and on the road. No games. No scams. No pressure. Just real, honest, family-style service from two guys who genuinely give a damn. The kind of place that still believes in doing right by people. Fair prices, quality work, and a whole lot of heart. If you want mechanics who will go the extra mile (literally and figuratively), Miracle Moe's is that place. Tony and Moe--you're not just mechanics, you're miracle workers. My Jeep had been making some oddball noises - I wasn't attempting to blow these noises off - but I have my other Jeep going in for some work and new tires in a few days.
