The bumps became deep, painful, and recurrent enough that I eventually had to see a dermatologist and receive medical treatment. I had purchased a package for Brazilian waxes, but stopped using the remaining services because the ingrown hairs and irritation were progressively getting worse after each appointment. I contacted the location several months ago and was refunded for the unused portion of the package, but not for the services that ultimately left me dealing with a painful skin condition, medical expenses, discomfort, stress, and scarring. I followed proper aftercare, tried their recommended products, stopped shaving/waxing, and used multiple methods to try to resolve the issue, but the condition continued. I understand that folliculitis and ingrown hairs can be a known risk of waxing and that reactions vary from person to person. However, I wish I had been better informed about the potential severity and persistence of these complications, especially for people with sensitive skin or those prone to ingrown hairs. I've done brow tinting twice in addition to monthly brow waxes. I never get red, she is always very careful to use oils afterwards to keep skin irritation down. Tulsa. Tulsa. Tulsa!…read more She is my new go to. I swear moving to Salt Lake has been the biggest pain to find places that thread because it isn't super big here. Most people will pluck their eyebrows or wax, but if you go to Tulsa she will take good care of you. It was my first time in and I told her how nervous I was and made it very clear how picky I am about my eyebrows since I have had previous people accidentally make them too thin. She was very reassuring and made sure I could take a peek at the mirror to see if I wanted my brows to be thinner or thicker. Besides being so good at her job for doing this 20+ years she has a great personality. I stayed at the shop talking to her even longer then I would at other places who rush you out for the next client. I have never been so well treated before. Tulsa works everyday besides Sunday 10-7 in 123 (I believe). Be sure to tip her well she DESERVES it for how hard she works for this shop. P.S. Threading WILL hurt. There is no way to make threading "less painful" unless you become numb to it after several visits. If you want to complain about pain just do not do it! Tulsa has a numbing cream, I am not sure if it works but it definitely had a placebo effect on me! Request it if you need to. Use the Aloe Verde gel after. If you want to have stunning eyebrows you've got to work for them!
