As a new customer, if you sign up on their website, you get a small discount on your first visit. You don't need an appointment, but they do schedule them if you'd like. I did a walk-in and was taken care of right away. Ann did my nails and it was ok. She was pleasant, although didn't chat with me-and that's fine. Sometimes it's nice to have a quiet visit. There is spa-like music playing and a peaceful environment, even though it was bustling with people. After I left, I noticed that there were a few spots where the polish was on my skin or missed a side of the nail altogether. Not horrible, but enough that I noticed. But overall it was fine and I appreciated their huge selection of colors to pick from. read more

This is a nice place. The people are nice and the place is clean. The quality of work is good but I have had better. It would be nice if they talked to you now and then rather than each other the whole time. I had a pedicure which was adequate but I had asked to help with ingrown toenails which she didn't seem to understand nor do. read more

Universal Nails - Front of store. - Nail Salons Near Me - South Jordan, Utah

Universal Nails used to be awesome back when the original crew was there (including JoJo, Michael, Tony & Lin.) Management switched and it was all downhill from there. The turnover was huge. The last three times I went I had to go back to have something fixed - and I'm really not that picky. The manager is not very nice from what I've seen and I think it affects the overall morale. The receptionist is very sweet and helpful, though. read more

Everyone was so nice and Annie is so amazing and talented, she completely understood what I wanted. My nails lasted so well and everyone loved how they looked! read more

My daughter and I visited there today to have pedicures. The girl at the counter that checked us in was very friendly. The salon itself looked very nice. We ordered the nu-skin pedicures. I would say the services up until the actual polishing of the nails was great. We got massaged with hot stones, scrubbed with the nu-skin, hot paraffin wax, etc. My tech proceeded to apply gel without asking if that's what I wanted (It cost an extra $15). I was engrossed in conversation with my daughter and didn't notice until my foot was under the UV light. In hindsight I'm glad I got gel and you'll see why soon. My daughter on the other hand got regular polish. 4 hours later the polish still wasn't dried and wiped right off! She had worn her flip flops that whole time and the polish should have definitely dried in that time. We were running errands and she's 9 months pregnant, so the last thing we wanted to do was go back and get it fixed. We don't know if all the lotions, oils weren't wiped off the nails properly before the polish was applied or if there were issues with the polish itself. SUPER DISAPPOINTED! Please beware of getting regular polish with your pedicure. read more

Universal Nails - My daughter's toenails after 4 hours of drying time in flip flops! - Nail Salons Near Me - South Jordan, Utah

My mom and I hit up universal nails as new customers last week. We got deluxe spa pedis with gel French manicures and they turned out lovely. My tech was Thi, very very good and my mom's was Ann who was good but I thought Thi was really talented, probably the best French pedi I've ever gotten. If you sign up on their website they give you a 10% discount on your first service. The techs were professional, fast and our nails look great. Will be back for sure down the road for our next pedis again. read more

This place does not care if you have an appointment or not. They prioritize walk ins and have no respect for your time and will lie in your face saying they're running behind. Save your time and don't go here. read more

Service is terrible here, absolutely no punctuality. It's been twice now that I go in with an appointment booked and they tell me I have to wait 15+ minutes to wait for the person I BOOKED. I let it go the first time when I had to wait 25 minutes, but two times is ridiculous. No respect for clients at all. Don't waste your time here. read more

Clean, friendly, and I love having a person i can go back to time and time again. Cindy is my most favorite!

They didn't listen to what I wanted. And they overcharged me for my services. Not a great experience overall.

Ask for a dip and got a hybrid dip and gel. The gel is way too thick. I don't think the tech knew how to dip so he did this weird thing where he painted on the tip. I am not happy. It looks horrible. Will need to be redone. read more

My nails looked okay when I left, but my acrylics lifted worse than I've ever had. I absolutely would not go back here.

Walked in wanting a brand new full gel set. It's clean, they are quick, have great service and are so amazing. I asked for neutral and Jo picked the perfect nude for my skin tone. I'm so very pleased. Service = 10. Quality = 10. Cleanliness = 10. Cost = Fair. Met Expectations = Above and Beyond. And then I got a pedicure..... my feet have died and gone to heaven. I loved the whole experience. They take care of you, speak English, and know the right balance of Conversation. I drove from Orem and will do it again. Overall - 5 stars and 10/10 recommend! read more

Universal Nails is the highest quality nail salon I have been to in all of West Valley, West Jordan, AND South Jordan. If you need a clean, high quality, accommodating nail salon experience you have to go to Universal Nails. Tony did my nails great and listened to everything I wanted. I will be a returning customer read more

One of the best salons I've been to. Came from Salt Lake as this was one of the only salons open until 5pm on a Sunday. They accommodated my boyfriend and me for a last minute mani and pedi before a upcoming vacation. We were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The employees here have SKILL and are proud of what they do. My hands looked identical to the inspo pic that I brought. My feet look and feeling amazing. My boyfriend enjoyed the massage chairs and tv channel. We never felt rushed. This is the happiest I've been with my nails. I will 100% be coming back regardless of the drive. If you want the best quality and look with great service, go to Universal nails. read more

I've waited to experience this place twice before leaving a review. Both times, very clean place. Very friendly service with good interactions. Pricing is good, and the quality was great both times. This last time we went with a group. They got us all in at the same time and were super accommodating to request like.. please cam you make the water super hot:) It's hard to fund a good place that you feel welcome and comfortable at while getting your nails done. I found my place! read more

I went to Universal Nails for the first time today for a pedicure and was really impressed. The store was clean, team was attentive, and the results were amazing. I had a negative reaction to the sugar scrub on my leg but they took really good care of me, applying cool cloths and aloe until it was resolved. They were able to remove significant calluses from my heels: my feet and toes look great. I will definitely be back! read more

I went and got my nails done at universal nails today. Let me just tell you how impressed I am. Michael did a fantastic job and I was out of there after 30 mins. Fast and good... Not only was Michael nice but all the nails techs were nice. That's not common at your typical nail salon. I felt like they went above and beyond for me. I don't usually write reviews but that's how happy I was when I left. I highly recommend this place. read more

A last minute appointment and everything was simply divine !! Hannah treated my toes with the tender yet firm affection and Jojo followed behind her and left me feeling and looking like superwoman .
