Tulsa. Tulsa. Tulsa! She is my new go to. I swear moving to Salt Lake has been the biggest pain to find places that thread because it isn't super big here. Most people will pluck their eyebrows or wax, but if you go to Tulsa she will take good care of you. It was my first time in and I told her how nervous I was and made it very clear how picky I am about my eyebrows since I have had previous people accidentally make them too thin. She was very reassuring and made sure I could take a peek at the mirror to see if I wanted my brows to be thinner or thicker. Besides being so good at her job for doing this 20+ years she has a great personality. I stayed at the shop talking to her even longer then I would at other places who rush you out for the next client. I have never been so well treated before. Tulsa works everyday besides Sunday 10-7 in 123 (I believe). Be sure to tip her well she DESERVES it for how hard she works for this shop. P.S. Threading WILL hurt. There is no way to make threading "less painful" unless you become numb to it after several visits. If you want to complain about pain just do not do it! Tulsa has a numbing cream, I am not sure if it works but it definitely had a placebo effect on me! Request it if you need to. Use the Aloe Verde gel after. If you want to have stunning eyebrows you've got to work for them! read more

Thank you for the Yelp reviews saying how to get to the location! Her room isn't the first on the right anymore, she recently moved to a room on the left side. It says 'Eyebrow Threading' by her door. I have sensitive skin and I was nervous about going here because of the reviews saying they left bruising and bleeding. I went anyway and her threading is no different from any other threading I've ever experienced. No excessive redness, pain, or anything else unusual. Threading eyebrows is $11 and she offers a punch card where the 5th eyebrow threading is free. Definitely going back. Thanks! read more

My first threading experience in Salt Lake City since moving up here! Tulsa is fantastic. I haven't gotten my brows done in months, and I was long overdue. I don't do waxing, ever, I do threading always. This was when I met Tulsa. She is located inside Image Studios, which is basically a shopping mall of different beauty vendors that rent out one space in the abundance of little "suites". She is to the left in Suite 123 I believe. What impressed me the most was how fast she was able to make my long, overdue brows into natural, rounded shapes. For those who aren't used to threading, know that it's going to make your eyes watery and it's going to hurt a bit, even for someone who does threading a lot. It's just how it is, but it is entirely worth it. I've been to many threading places, and Tulsa is definitely someone you can trust with your brows. She did mine quickly and well. I'm a soon to be a local so I was glad to see that threading is happening in UT. Yes, it was a little hard to find but the previous reviewer helped me navigate. It is in the Image Studios building. The woman who threaded me was so unbelievably nice that I truly wanted to make this place my own. Alas, it won't be the case. I left with some bleeding on my upper left eye and middle of lip area. I think she does it too hard which caused the bruising and bleeding. Maybe I'm too sensitive but I can't afford having weird looking scabs on my face like that. I've been getting threaded for several years (in Vegas) and have never left looking like I did then. :( Bummer..... read more

I waited for a few visits before posting this review because sometimes you get the "newbie" special treatment and then it's meh visits to follow. Always so polite and she is FAST. This place was a little difficult to find. i used my navigation which brought me to an intersection. I then called and the lady told me it was by ross. It is NOT by ross, it is just west of the Pie Pizzeria in the Image studios building. Once you walk in it is the first door on the right. I have to admit it hurt a little more to get my eye brows/lip threaded versus getting them waxed but it is SO worth it. I have searched for years for someone who can shape my eye brows the way i want and she did PERFECT. Not only did she do that but she got ALL of the hair. With waxing you tend to have a few missed hairs. It also lasts longer than waxing and is awesome for sensitive skin like mine since it doesn't involve any chemicals! I chose this place because i noticed a deal on here where you spend $6 and save $5. That is right its only $11.00 to get your eye brows done & it was $6 for the lip. I was paying $18-20 for my eye brows and $10-12 for my lip before this and was unsatisfied! I will certainly be coming back in a few weeks to do it all over again. read more

She is amazing! Yes, if you thread it will hurt but that is if you go anywhere it will hurt. She listens and is very nice and professional!!! Do NOT buy a Groupon for this place, Groupon is not giving them their share so they are not using Groupon. They did honor mine because I had a text trail with Groupon showing me trying to find a resolution. The girl was very friendly and professional and didn't charge me anything additional. after reading the reviews i decided to give this place a try. i called ahead to see if the owner was available and made an appointment for 15 minutes later. the owner was really nice and i noticed that she cleaned the chair before i got in it, so that was much appreciated. i've had threading done once and it was so painful that i swore to never do it again. however, i thought maybe it was just the person doing it, so decided to give it another try somewhere else. conclusion? it was still painful! she did her best to do it quickly and my end result wasn't quite what i wanted (i had brought a picture of me with brows that i liked), but definitely an improvement from before. one reviewer had mentioned bruising and bleeding and i now understand why. the owner tells you it will hurt less if you hold your skin taut, so she has you use your hands to pull your eyelid down and your skin above your eyebrow up. i apparently wasn't doing it right so she put more pressure on my fingers which kind of hurt my eye and skin. i didn't leave bleeding or bruised, but i could see how someone with sensitive skin could have that experience. overall a good experience and she was professional. would i come back? not until threading becomes painless. if you're okay with the pain though, you should check this place out! read more
