So, I've never painted before and felt intimidated by the Elephant we had to paint. I felt intimidated by all the other students that came to paint. I also felt intimidated by my BFF who paints all the time! But Joe showed us how to dab dab dab and brush brush brush and VIOLA', a masterpiece is created! I didn't think I would be able to make such a lovely painting by the end of our session. I survived! My painting was fun to create. I even enjoyed looking at all the other students masterpieces. We were all painting the same thing but there was not one that was alike. I thought everyone did a great job painting too. The event was held at an Italian restaurant that serves drinks and food. My only bit of advise is, I wish Yaymaker sold drink coupons on their site or as addedium fee on Groupon. I would had loved to save some money on wine too. Overall, very fun. I look forward to my next Yaymaker event with my BFF.

I had been wanting to go to a paint-and-sip event for a long time; it was one of the activities I…read morepictured adults frequently doing when I was a teenager. I finally got to try this out last summer, and first I'll just say, it was a little pricier than I expected it to be. There's usually a Groupon for this event, and even with that you're paying around $30/person, so I suggest checking that out before buying your ticket. It doesn't come with any drinks, so you'll have to pay additional prices for those. Paint Nite works by you selecting the night you want to attend the event on their website. They have multiple Bay Area cities, with an almost endless list of locations in each where the events will take place. They have multiple events per week, and each night is a different location and example painting. If you bought a Groupon, you'll enter it during the payment stage. All pretty self-explanatory. Along with being more expensive than I imagined, it's also much less glamorous. When I was younger, I thought these nights would be held at a studio or someone's home, with the wine being supplied (and not being super cheap). I really wasn't a fan of the Grill 'Em Restaurant we went to, because it's the quality of Chili's or Applebee's. I knew there wouldn't be decent wine at a decent price, so I ordered two cocktails instead. Unfortunately those were so sweet, they made me feel ill afterward. The food wasn't too good either...but that's a review for their business, not this one. I brought an old friend with me when I went, and he decided to do his own thing and painted something from Twin Peaks. The instructor was funny and knew how to explain painting to first-time painters who were pretty tipsy. Our class was mostly a large group of women who were celebrating one of their birthdays, and they were mostly all drunk and very loud. I probably wouldn't pay this much to paint again, but I certainly wouldn't choose the location we had again. It's fun to do once, though.

Her guidance was exceptional; she encouraged everyone to embrace their artistic side and simply go with the flow. It was fascinating to see how each person interpreted their significant other through their painting, with the reveal being the highlight of the night. This is definitely a class worth experiencing. Thank you, FlowHaus, for creating such a memorable evening and awakening the artist within us! As someone who is far from an artist--I can barely manage stick figures--and who doesn't practice meditation, I found the sessions incredibly relaxing. Watching myself create 'art' by choosing and applying colors, seeing them flow across the canvas under my control, was immensely satisfying. The absence of any need to conform to mainstream definitions of art was a revelation I never knew I needed. I enjoyed the freedom to create without pressure. Overall, Crystal, was a joy to work with. She provided all the necessary materials, explained the concept clearly, and then allowed everyone to explore it at their own pace. There was no rushing, no judgment--just the opportunity to be myself. Thank you for letting us be a part of this wonderful experience. I will definitely be signing up for another workshop.

Crystal, the owner, offers so many different and unique…read moreexperiences at her studio--everything from fluid art on canvas and cool figurines to a mental wellness session using tactile finger painting. There are just so many cool and different activities to choose from! I tried both the fluid art experience on canvas and the "bear brick" figurines in the sip and drip session, as well as the mental wellness exercise on canvas. Both were quite different but super relaxing, calming, and just plain fun. I'm not naturally super artistic, but Crystal makes it all fun and light with no pressure. The pieces I created came alive right before my eyes. The fluid nature of the art really let me "let it flow," and Crystal's prompts and guidance on creating something display-worthy were perfect--not too overbearing or stressful. The great thing was I was able to meet other like-minded individuals and groups in my session and was able to see their beautiful and creative creations as well! I definitely want to do this again and bring a friend or five :) It's a fun idea for a date night or a friends' sip and drip party! I might even bring my work group here for a team-building event!! They were all totally engaged for an entire hour, really concentrating on their paintings. Prabin was great. The kids had fun. It was really easy to schedule and I didn't do anything but set up some small snacks and tables in the backyard. The price is similar or even cheaper to a lot of kid bday party events. All the parents raved about it. No goodie bags needed. Every kid took home a masterpiece. A very successful kid party!!

I hired Kyoko for face painting and balloon twisting for my daughter's 5 year old birthday party…read more I originally only booked her for 2 hours but I decided to hire her for the entire length of the party when after 2 hours, there was still a line of kids waiting to get a balloon or their face painted. During the party, guests kept asking me where I found her as they were amazed at the beauty and detail of her face painting art. Some guests were also interested in hiring her for their future events. Her balloon twisting skills were also amazing. She created a pair of angel wings that some of the girls wore thruout the party. The kids all loved having her there and she was very patient with the kids. Thank you, Kyoko for helping make the party so much fun!

When we walked in, she prepared us a very nice appetizer and wine table with candles. All of us sat down for half an hour, drank wine and relaxed. She let us know when we should start the class. I already picked the theme for our bday celebration painting and Katiya helped us to draw it. It was so much fun. Such a personalized service in a great friendly atmosphere. We all had so much laugh, and came home with our beautiful paintings. She also made tea for us so we can drink with our bday cake which was the highlight of the night. My daughter truly enjoys the class and intends to turn her room into an art studio. Tami, the owner, is a wonderful art teacher and truly great with kids. Tami made the painting of the unicorn easy that every girl enjoyed the event and they were proud of their artwork. I highly recommend planning your next party with Tami. She made the party planning stress feel, and my daughter loved picking out what her friends would paint. The space of the studio was perfect and so cute with twinkle-lights and artwork all over.
