I am lucky to have Aaron as our photographer and Nicole as makeup Artist for maternity shoot. They made the shooting session a joyful memory ! I had Nicole for my wedding make up artist in 2018, I was very happy with her work back then and decided to have her for my maternity shoot not even with a hesitation. Nicole is my fav make up artist! Aaron is so professional and really good at using natural lighting in photography. He is also patient and considerable the whole time, I had three outfits for the shooting session, before shooting my next outfit, he will always show me the photos, and ask me if I am satisfied with the shoot, or if there is anything particular that I want to have in my photo, which really impressed me. My husband and I are really appreciate Aaron capturing the special moment for us. I would for sure recommend Nicole and Aaron if any of my friends asked me recommendations for the best make up artist and photographer in Seattle! :) read more

First off, let me just say that Aaron made me and my wife feel like we received way more from his wedding photography service than we paid for. Wedding photos are the most important thing to us in a wedding because they are a way for us to look back on such a special moment in our lives, so we had to pick the best. Aaron was by far the friendliest and attentive photographer we talked to. The best part about working with Aaron is that you only have to tell him a few wedding details and he takes care of the rest, giving us the time to focus on other aspects of the wedding. On top of that, we also used the wedding makeup service that his wife Nicole provided. The combination of their services definitely made the wedding planning easier. Aaron always kept us up-to-date on the progress of the photos after the wedding. The photos turned out excellent! I was very surprised by the artistic creativity that Aaron came up with. He incorporated different props, lighting angles and scenes to give vibrant colors in the photos. Both me and my wife really enjoyed looking back at the photos Aaron took. We cannot thank him enough for helping us capture the memorable moments we had at our wedding with friends and family. I know that years from now we will be able to look back at these photos and re-live the moment as if we were there again! Thanks again Aaron and Nicole! read more

I contracted Aaron for my wedding last month, and I highly recommend his services. From the start, Aaron was focused on my needs and worked with me to achieve my photographic vision. I was suprised by Aaron's keen attention to detail. One example, his team brought a wooden hanger with a pretty white lace bow, just so my wedding dress could hang on it for my 'get ready' shots, and have the best visual effect (and not have it hang on a plastic hanger). I remember looking over and thinking what a thoughtful thing to do, because it was something I had forgotten to take into consideration as the bride! Additionally, my husband and I were very nervous (and awkward) during our pre-wedding/ first look shots. Aaron put us at ease ensuring we got the most natural shots. Aaron is very patient and has an even temperment, he is a joy to work with. I've just received my wedding photos this past week, and I must say I am very happy. My wedding day flew by so quickly, and it was wonderful to re-live my wedding through Aaron's photos once more. I've also recommended my brother and his fiance to Aaron as well, for their engagement shots. I will recommend Aaron to my family and friends without hesitation. I also recommend Aaron's wife, Nicole who is a fantastic wedding makeup artist. They are a great team! Highly recommend. read more

I am writing this review for recommending the photographer Aaron Liu and bridal stylist Nicole Wang. They made my engagement photoshooting a joyful memory!! Unlike the popular gorgeous style, Aaron's artworks style is natural. By viewing his portfolio, we can feel the warm temperature, even more, we can tell different personalities from each couples in their pictures. That's why I trust him that he can give us a unique set of pictures. By negotiating with me and my boyfriend, knowing our preference. Aaron captured "our own style" in those pictures. His pictures are not too bright, but catch every little thing in our interactions and expressions, which makes our memories vivid. Aaron Liu photography and Nicole Wang makeup & hair are based in Seattle, however, their services area cover the west coast of USA, even Vancouver. Recommend to all the engagement, wedding, families, newborn babies, portraiture needs!!! His picture is awesome and he will catch all of your memorable seconds!!! read more

My neighbor recommended Aaron when trying to look for engagement photo shoot and I am SO glad we found him and his business partner for makeup. Aaron made me and my then fiancé felt comfortable although we just met him first time in person. Nicole was literally my shadow making sure my makeup and hair looked good during the shoot. The outcome - hands down! We did the photo shoot in Snoqualmie area and got lucky that it was snowing for a while. Many people who saw the pictures commented that the "studio background" looked stunning where it really was the mother nature beauty with the talented touch and captures from Aaron. read more

In short, this studio is a small business but treats clients with the big corporate attitude. There are many other good wedding photo studios on the market in Seattle. TLDR; As a client, I think I am pretty easy-going. After the shooting, we even delayed our dinner time driving the photographer back to the parking lot at which her car was. But it seems only myself values this relationship. I was very shocked that my photos were posted on the social media by her. Before the shooting, I told the photographer that I was pretty introverted, so I hoped her not to share my wedding photos with my front face in the social media; others were fine though. She agreed. She even told me that before posting, she would send me photos for review. Guess what, I found my portraits and my husband funny photo online one day without the notice. Then I told her my shock. If she explained to me or apologized, then I would understood. But she silenced. Instead Aaron(her boss) came to me out of blue, saying in the contract, it is said that they have full copyright. Then he also asked me to understand them as a small business. One thing differentiates the small business from the big cooperate is that people in the small business really cares their clients and their needs. Also, they are trustworthy. They don't only have cold paper for their clients. Obviously, this studio doesn't have any. The way how they handle issues is seriously questionable. read more

Really appreciate Aaron's photograph for my great senior pictures!! It was one of my best photo-taking experience. I had no idea where I should go for the senior pictures, and Aaron gave me lots of professional suggestions, and the pictures turned out great! I also loved Nicole's makeup and hair, it is very natural but very delicate. We tried several hair style and finally found one that fits me best! He took photos for my family to celebrate my son's first birthday. We used his package that included the make up and style by Nicole Makeup. We loved his photos so much. If I could rate Aaron Liu's Photography more than five stars on Yelp, I would! Aaron was chosen as our wedding photographer due to several reasons, besides the convenience for my family who speaks Mandarin Chinese, but his attention to every detail was the selling point! During all of our meet ups, Aaron was punctual and was able to provide information and questions for us to find out prior to the wedding, which has saved us a lot time after. I was mostly impressed that he took his own time to check the wedding venue, and then again to our rehearsal. I don't think too many photographers would spend so much time with their clients prior to the actual photo day. My husband and I couldn't thank Aaron and his team more than enough because they were patient with us, our families and also with our guests. Our pictures had laughters, emotions with tears, and the once in a lifetime moment as husband and wife! The comfortable experience with Aaron was the least of my worries because there was nothing to be worried! Highly recommended!! read more

Aaron took pictures for my courthouse wedding and wedding pictures shooting. He is really good at capturing the natural and lovely moments during events. And he is really patient. He is a very efficient photographer. He provided us all the pictures at the same day of our wedding, which is very impressive. So we decided to hire him again for our wedding photo shooting. He really knows what people want. For our preference, he agreed to take pictures for us at the top of rattlesnake ledge. We hiked for 1.5 hours to reach there and it's just amazing from there. Everybody was shocked to see our wedding photos. We are proud to have photos like those. Thanks to Aaron and Nicole for making those happen! read more

I was visiting Seattle and planned to have some profile photos taken while in town. I'm so happy I chose to go with Aaron for photography and Nicole for my makeup. The photos were excellent with perfect lighting. I often have professional makeup done for events, however, Nicole is by far one of my favs. She's very meticulous and good with color. If you decide on Aaron photography, I highly recommend getting your makeup done by Nicole! read more

I have been follow for Aaron's work for quite some time before I decided to hire him and Nicole for my professional headshots. Aaron is very easy to work with - he made sure my session is all about me and all the things I want to achieve. Being behind the camera and screens for years myself, Im frigid when Im the subject. He is professional and fun which help me get into the modeling mode easily. He showed me the pictures through out the session and that put me at ease knowing he is capturing some great shot. He gave helpful pointers and suggest various poses to get things started. My outdoor headshot session was filled with laughter - I had so much fun doing it I wasn't distracted by all the pedestrians walking around me. I struggled before I decided to hire a professional photographer for my headshot and Im so glad I chose Aaron Liu Photography! My pictures turnout amazing and tons of great pictures which made it hard to choose 5 pictures. But Aaron's great service didn't stop at the end of the session; he asked me about all my concerns and retouched my selected picture just right. I got many compliments on these new pictures and best of all, I loved them too! read more

Let me start off by saying that this short review doesn't justify how happy my wife and I are about Aaron's work :) My wife and I got to know Aaron and his wife Nicole last year, following a recommendation of our mutual friends. We were looking for a professional photographer and makeup artist for our wedding in July. We already talked to a few photographers at the time but we just didn't like their style and touches of the photos. Therefore, I didn't really expect much before sitting down with Aaron to talk about his work. And yet I decided to hire him immediately after our first conversation:) Aaron showed me his sample album and explained his style with shooting wedding portraits. He clearly understood our preferences by asking where we wanted to have our engagement photos and wedding photos taken, what kind of outfit we would be wearing, as well as timing of the events, etc, and he offered numerous tips and suggestions to accommodate us. Communicating with him and Nicole has been effortless. We decided to shoot our engagement photos outdoor in Palouse, which is a few hours away from Seattle. Aaron planned everything for us and drove his own car there. He didn't even charge us for gas and mileage! We spent an entire day there shooting photos and it was an amazing experience. Aaron and Nicole really went out of their way to capture the most beautiful moments for us. They did their research ahead of time to pick the best locations, timing and angles, and helped ease us into the photo mood :) We had our wedding ceremony in the morning and had to ask Aaron and Nicole to join us at 5am to help my wife put on her makeup on that day. Aaron and Nicole showed up even earlier than us! Again Aaron helped capture the most precious and memorable moments of our lives. He was always suggesting, "Look there is a better spot/pose/angle, let's take a few more" and we simply followed his lead. Aaron also offered to professionally retouch our photos to make sure they look the best. All and all, if you are still looking for a professional photographer for your special occasions, you can stop right now and just call Aaron and Nicole. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. read more

After reading all those reviews, I felt like they expressed all the best that I could say. Aaron took pre-wedding photos for us and I really like his professionalism and enthusiasm, both of which matter most from my point of view. For example, 1. Understanding that taking pre-wedding photos is special for us, he arranged a meeting as early as possible to discuss all we need to prepare and what style we prefer. 2. They have quite some stylish wedding dress to rent and his wife Nicole is able to alter it so that the dress would fit. He also made suggestions on how our dressings match and it looks great eventually. 3. When taking photos on UW campus near the fountain, he found a place that looks amazing in photos. I passed that place almost every day and cannot believe it is the same place. 4. We could select some photos for detailed retouch, but honestly, we'd like to choose every single one he shows us for selection. We are recommended by friends and will recommend it to anyone. read more

Best photo experience I have ever had. We worked with Aaron on my wedding day in February. The decision to work with him was easy. His natural way of shooting shown in his portfolio was just what we want. I found the fresh and warm tone of the pictures were very charming. His bilingual skill suited my family's demands perfectly. And he also recommended a great stylist to me (which saved me lots of time). The price was competitive too. Working with Aaron was just as easy and comforting. I was planning a destination wedding and it would be impossible for me to fly to Seattle just to interview a photographer. Aaron sure helped me getting through the difficulties. I was way behind my schedule that time and Aaron responded to me just in time. We communicated online about my basic demands and he also came to my hotel to meet me in person the day I landed. My husband and I are not photographers, so our goal was to hire someone that knew what they were doing so we didn't have to think about it anymore. Aaron is clearly an expert in his trade and made me feel extremely confident in him as our photographer. Day of the wedding, Aaron was flexible and very patient. He arrived early to see around the venue and spot best points to take photo. He communicated with us constantly to make sure I like the way the photos looked like. I had to say, there were some photos I was so satisfied with that I even asked him not to adjust them anymore. He caught some very special moments and did a good job on photographing all of the guests. I would totally recommend Aaron to whom wants to capture their good memories. read more

My husband and I absolutely love Aaron and Nicole's work! I would rate them 6 stars if I could! My friend introduced Nicole to me when I was planning my marriage registry, and Nicole mentioned Aaron's photography studio, the price looked ok, and it went quite well as we discuss the make-up, the bouquet, the bird-cage vase I had on mind, and how are they going to match with my white dress. The marriage registry photo went so well that we felt we got a lot more than we paid for! At least four of my friends asked for Aaron's contact after they saw my photo, the non-PSed one! I especially like the mood and the color tone of Aaron's photo, it flowed very well with my make-up and the style of my dress, and the photos captured the most vivid moment between my husband and I. It was such a pleasant experience working with Aaron and Nicole, that we decided to have our pre-wedding photo taken by their studio. I have to say Aaron and Nicole are the most professional and dedicated photographer and beauty artist I have ever seen! Every piece of work they did, they did for beauty and art, not for the 'contracted photography package and payment'. They kept us well-informed during the shooting, they paid attention to the detail, the weather, the light and the timing, to ensure that we looked our best in the photos. Often time, it is Aaron and Nicole who suggest us to take another shot, or to take one more location. They are deeply devoted to their work, and treat it like a piece of art. I have recommended their studio to almost every couple I knew in Seattle, and you should try them too. read more

Aaron and Nicole are awesome. They communicate on what style/mood you want the photos to be, what style of the outfit/makeup/hairstyle would work well with the surrounding environment to achieve that style, and they have excellent teamwork. Lots of patience and expertise displayed. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants Asian style photography. read more

Aaron and Nicole took my wedding commemorative photos! They were the most professional photographers and makeup artist I've met. Before taking pictures they will first ask you what style do you want, based on your characteristics to help you choose dresses and hairstyles! Aaron's shooting technique is great!
