We scheduled the photo start time for 2 PM, annd Alex showed up at 12:00PM to begin setting up. My makeup artist told me this is Alex style. Once he finished setting up the video equipment, he went to the site to start capturing the details--shots of my dress, my beautiful high heels, and jewelry. He was so detailed, trying to get different angles of the shots, which I really liked. I spent a lot of money on my dress and accessories, and I definitely wanted to capture them in my book. The ceremony was outside under the stage, and he guided us to the back area, which had more greenery, for our family and wedding party portraits. He was so funny and creative--everyone enjoyed his sense of humor. I believe he has a gift for making people feel comfortable and de-stressed. He even made my 85-year-old grandmother smile, which I hadn't seen in a long, long time. During the ceremony, he captured so many different shots, from wide angles to close-ups. He stayed close to us but kept enough distance so that the guests felt comfortable. I remember at my sister's wedding, her photographer stayed too close to everyone, and it felt awkward. We received over 2,000 proofs to select from and ended up choosing 250 instead of the 200 we planned. Thank you, Alex and your team, for capturing this wonderful lifetime memory for us. We really appreciate your hard work and sense of humor. Whenever I visit my grandma, she still remembers your name. You definitely have a gift and talent for bringing happiness to others. Irene K.

If you are in search of the best Seattle (and greater) area wedding photographer, stop searching…read moreright now and hire Chris. I'm serious. My fiancé and I started our search for the best photographer pretty early on in our wedding planning process. Chris came highly recommend by a co worker of mine and immediately after seeing Chris' work and meeting with him over a beer, we knew he was the best fit for us...and boy did he blow our expectations out of the water! We decided to do an engagement session with him, and we had a blast! We appreciated his calm yet direct cues when we just didn't know what to do with our hands! He has an incredible eye and we trusted him fully to guide us around and tell us what to do and the end product was magic! So when it came time for our wedding day, we had complete faith he would make us look our best and get us the best photos. We knew everyone in our family and bridal party would feel at ease with Chris as well, and they all instantly realized why we had hired him! Chris is a ninja with the camera, you don't even notice he's there sometimes. We were able to just relax, be ourselves and enjoy our day and he blended in seamlessly. But also kept us smiling with his sense of humor and positive presence! A couple days after the wedding Chris delivered 40+ sneak peak photos! When we received our full gallery, we felt like we were truly re living the best day of our lives through the photos. The day literally came alive through each carefully selected and edited image. You can feel the love radiating from every single photo. Every day more and more people tell us how incredible our photographer was and we just smile and say "we know". Even those who weren't at our wedding tell us they can tell just how special and love filled our day was through the photos. A 5 star rating will never be adequate enough for Chris! Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you make when planning a wedding and it can be overwhelming, but trust me when I say you will never regret going with Chris. We look forward to keeping him in our lives as our designated family photographer going forward!

So, I began the internet search for a photographer and came across Tom's work. I noticed that he has a large and diverse portfolio, with photos that seem to capture the joy of weddings. It was also clear that he was used to taking photos at the Seattle Municipal Court for weddings of our size. So, I sent an email. I am so glad I did. From the moment of first contact, I knew we were in good hands. The timeline was short and the request specific. Tom was very responsive, both in email and over the phone. He had a lot of helpful information about the process at the Seattle Municipal Court and suggested a few locations on Queen Anne that I had yet to see (but, when I checked them out, realized how perfect would be). On the day itself, Tom was pure professionalism. But, we also had a lot of fun. He was unobtrusive during the talk with judge and the ceremony, capturing lots of precious moments. The shots he took of me and my husband and of my attendants and family at the courthouse and at Kerry Park are beautiful. His diligence in getting a lot of different shots and backgrounds was appreciated. The turnaround was very quick. We could see the photos online within two days. Within a week we had the digital files and the photos themselves. Tom did an excellent job in capturing us, our friends and family, and the love and joy of the day. Plus, his prices are incredibly fair for the amount of work he expends on his clients behalf. I have enjoyed working with him. Now, I need to see if he does baby photos! In other words, I highly recommend Tom Ellis and his work.

Five stars just isn't enough for Angela and Evan. They deserve all of the stars…read more Photography was a huge priority for my husband and I as we planned our wedding, and we simply cannot imagine our wedding experience without Angela and Evan. They are not only artists and professionals, but the kindest, warmest people you will ever meet. From our very early correspondence, when we emailed back and forth and talked on the phone (we live on the East Coast, but got married in Seattle), Angela was thoughtful and dedicated, asking questions that showed she truly understands how wedding photography works. One of the things that makes her such an amazing photographer is the effort she puts into getting to know you before she even gets to the wedding - she walked through our venue with us, talked with me about the flow of the day, and made sure to stay in close touch with our wedding planner as well. Angela is so generous - when we decided at the last minute that we wanted to get engagement photos taken, she recommended a photographer friend on the East Coast for us. Some photographers might have been put out that we were asking for a recommendation, but not Angela. And on the wedding day itself, we were lucky beyond belief to get to work with both Angela and Evan - Angela shot me and my ladies as we got ready, and Evan was with the guys. Both of them were there for our first look, and throughout the rest of our day and night. While I never noticed them taking photos at the time, they somehow managed to capture all of the big and little moments that made our wedding so special to us - I don't know how they did it. It was so special to see them work together, too, as a married couple! My husband and I had booked a standard package, which ended an hour before the end of our reception - but Angela STAYED, out of the goodness of her heart, to capture our sparkler exit, because as she said, "I thought it would be really special for you guys to have those photos." Come on - that made me tear up, and filled my heart with such gratitude. Our wedding ended at 11pm, and we hung out with our guests at a bar until 1am. As we got in a cab to take us to our hotel, I got a text message from Angela with 20 incredible, beautiful photos from the day. Keep in mind - she had left the wedding at 11pm, too. So, after a full day of work, she went home and sent me a teaser of photos because she knew how excited I was to see them. You can't make this kind of stuff up; it's just too good to be true! And the delivery of the rest of the photos was amazing as well. Only a couple weeks later, we got a preview of about 80 more photos, and then the full album delivery about a month later. The quality of the photos is simply unmatched. And on top of all of that - which is already above and beyond what you could expect from a wedding photographer - Angela sent a beautiful goodie box last month with lovely prints and treats for us to enjoy. Again, I teared up. Working with Angela and Evan is one of the best decisions I've ever made - in life, not just in wedding planning. You will love them as much as you love your photos, which is to say: a lot!

When my husband and I began thinking about wedding planning just over a year ago, we knew the most…read moreimportant thing to us was finding a photographer that we loved. We agreed that having great photos of our big day was one of our very highest priorities, so the search was on to comb through all the options to find the photographer for us. After a referral from a family friend, we ended up meeting with Angela and booking with her right away without meeting with anyone else. This ended up being one of the best decisions we made throughout our whole wedding planning process. Angela is an absolutely incredible photographer and an even better human being. Our package included engagement photos in addition to the photos on our wedding day. My husband was pretty apprehensive about having his photo taken and was worried that he wouldn't feel comfortable in front of the camera. Angela is such a pro, she easily made him feel comfortable during the engagement shoot and brought out the best in both of us. From the beginning of working together, she felt like a friend and someone we could be ourselves around, which is so important when documenting your big day. When it came closer to the wedding, Angela went above and beyond to make sure we had the things we needed. Five days before the wedding, I realized to my horror that I hadn't ordered ANY sparklers for our sparkler exit....and it was no longer Summer so it was nearly impossible to find a vendor willing to sell me fireworks. I felt so stupid and, honestly, a little panicked that one of the elements of our day that I had spent so much time thinking about wasn't going to happen. After filling her in on our dilemma, Angela began searching for us and found a bride selling sparklers near me that I could meet and ALSO met a seller herself in Tacoma and brought those sparklers with her to the wedding. Seriously, guys, she's the real deal. When it came time for our wedding she absolutely knocked it out of the park. She was a calming presence throughout the pre-ceremony period, providing gentle and much needed direction so that we stayed on schedule and had time for all the photos we were hoping to get before the ceremony. During the ceremony and reception, she blended in seamlessly, capturing every important moment. We were faced with a large amount of rain during our outdoor ceremony and outdoor reception, but Angela took it in stride and captured absolutely beautiful photos every step of the way. I imagine it isn't easy to shoot under those conditions and with that amount of rain, but she made it look easy. Although the rain was less than ideal, we all chose to embrace the elements and see it as a romantic addition to the day. Angela did the same, and captured the spirit of that perfectly in her photos. After recently reviewing all of our photos from our wedding, we truly couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. As mentioned above, she captured the spirit of the day better than I ever could have imagined and, in the process, made all our friends and family look SO good. Looking through all our photos is like reliving the day, and she documented every candid moment with a level of artistry that exceeded all our expectations. We are so proud to share our photos with our loved ones and, honestly, can't wait for an excuse to work with Angela again.

Professional and kind and talented, and she treated my shoot like it was the most important thing to her at that time. She's also genius... did I mention that?
