I have never witnessed worse customer service! Very disturbing! If you're looking at their 5-star review and impressed, don't be. This is how they got that rating. I called their studio yesterday to get a quote. The woman I spoke to quoted me the following: Portfolio Session $1,325. This includes a 90-minute photoshoot, 4 outfits, and 4 photos. 40 photos will be taken for me to choose from, but I can only select 4. Each additional photo is $225. I asked her, "So it's $331.25/photo?" The woman answered, "No, it's $1,325 for studio time, photographer time and 4 photos". I said, "Yes, the photographer will spend 90 minutes taking photos and I will have 40 photos to choose from, but I will only get 4 photos. So that means I'm paying $1,325 for 4 photos, which is $331/photo". The woman answered, "Sure if you want to look at it that way." I asked, "What other way is there to look at if at the end i'm only getting 4 photos and I paid $1,325 to get them.". The woman answered in the most condescending tone, "Is there anything else I can help you with?". After that experience, I went on Google and left a 1-star review describing my experience. There's nothing wrong with charging high prices for higher quality service, but own it and be upfront about it. Prices are what they are, so own it and don't be condescending to customers. About an hour later, I got a call from the owner Brook Clark. She saw the review and started telling me how the most important thing for her business is customer experience. She went on and on for about 5 minutes about how customer experience is of utmost importance to her, even when she opened the studio with a newborn on one shoulder, so she wanted to apologize for what I experienced. I said ok, I appreciate the call, the prices are high, so not the right fit for me. Later the owner, Brook, texted me a referral to another photographer, which I really appreciated, and said "Thank you". An hour later, Brook texted me asking to remove the negative review from Google. I agreed to do that. A few hours later, I was talking to my friend who did his photoshoot at this studio and he said they are expensive, but he liked his photos. So I texted Brook back, saying I'm interested in booking a photoshoot because of his feedback. Then the owner replied back, saying her company won't be able to give me "the experience" I deserve and recommended another studio. In summary: When customers leave a REAL review about their experience with her business, she manipulates them into removing the negative review and pretends she's sincerely sorry for a poor experience. And instead of taking that as an opportunity to train her staff on delivering a better customer experience and ask the consumer, "How can I make it up to you?", she punishes consumers for speaking the truth by refusing to do business with them. I'm a female business owner and would do anything to support other female entrepreneurs, but this woman is a con artist. How many other customers did she manipulate to take down their REAL Google and Yelp reviews? What kind of experience do you expect for the prices they charge? Screenshots of the phone conversation are attached for proof. read more

We absolutely love Studio B! The customer service and staff are exceptional. Brooke has an amazing talent for making anyone look like a model. Our time at the studio was enjoyable, uplifting, and boosted our confidence. The photos Brooke captured of my family are stunning. Definitely the best family photo session we had yet, we plan to stick with Studio B! read more

I am a person who hates getting her picture taken, and usually dislikes the way they come out. The tl;dr for the rest of this is that Studio B made me both enjoy the experience of taking photos AND love the pictures that resulted from the session! Making an appointment was super easy - I filled out their online contact form and received a call the next day, in which I got all my initial questions answered and an offer to help with styling and wardrobe if I wanted it. Makayla was my photographer, and she's such a genuine sweetheart. We started with her asking me questions about myself, what I wanted to convey with my photos, and why I wanted head shots in the first place. There's a beautiful little park in downtown Issaquah we went to for outdoor photos; we also took some in front of the studio and inside. We chatted throughout the session like old friends! I instantly relaxed and felt super comfortable throughout the session, and Makayla gave me great directions to get the best poses and angles. I received the digital gallery to make my selections within a few days and I was blown away by the quality of the photos, even before any retouching! Again, I'm a person who dislikes most photos of me, but I liked every single one of these pictures and had SUCH a hard time making my top pics for ordering. I feel like Makayla really captured my personality and style in the pictures and they are ones I will be so proud to put on my professional social networks and sharing before talks and events! Thanks so much to Studio B! read more

I highly recommend Studio B Portraits! Brooke is a pro and she has the ability to capture your best moments. She is highly collaborative, engaging and energetic, creating a fun environment to help bring out the best professional shoot. We have used Brooke at Studio B Portraits for our high school Fashion Show the past three years and year over year we are thrilled with the results. Studio B is everything anyone could possibly ask for when getting their photo taken. Getting head shots is not something I love doing, and the Studio B team makes it an easy process. Brooke is fun, energetic, and creative! She knows the right angles to photograph you so you truly look like you on your best day. Erin is easy going, professional, and truly kind. Robert is hilarious, easy to talk to, and an excellent distraction when you need it. The team is literally the perfect package! This is the first time I've had so many choices to choose from that I love after getting my photo taken. Thank you Studio B for an amazing experience! read more

For 13 years I've had to occasionally take head shots for business, an experience that I never looked forward to. Thankfully that changed when I went to see Brooke at Studio B! We started off with a quick conversation about why I have not liked my photos in the past and what sort of image I was hoping to portray. We then took a few outside shots and shots in her studio. Brooke made it fun, she even had an assistant there who made sure my necklace was straight, my hair was in the right place, etc. The whole experience took about 45 minutes and the next day I got my photos to review... never have I loved so many photos! It was actually hard choosing which has never happened before. I love them, thanks Brooke and Team! read more

Nothing but WOW!! Studio B has created magic for my senior portraits. The whole process makes you feel like an A list model. Scheduling, shooting, previewing, EVERYTHING was a breeze from the start to finish. The talent that they contain is unmatchable! Going into my shoot I felt nervous about how I was going to look in my pictures, but Brooke and her team make you feel like your most beautiful self. My jaw was on the floor seeing the photos they captured! Studio B does not lie when they say it's "you on your best day"! read more

Brooke was GREAT to work with! Never having done a portrait session in my life, I was very intimidated by the process. But I was put at ease pretty quickly. I chose an enhanced business package (step up from a head-shot package) which included 4 outfit changes. I was given ample space to change clothes, and Brooke made me feel relaxed the entire time. In fact, I wasn't even aware she was taking pictures some of the time! We did both studio and outside shots. I had plenty to choose from, and feel that the value received was well worth what was paid. read more

The first time I saw the portraits on Studio B website, I knew immediately that Brooke was the long-sought-after photographer for my family portraits. The photos taken by Brooke are amazing, colorful and vibrant, capturing the essence of family ever so beautifully and naturally. Our relatives, friends and visitors have all complimented and raved about our family portraits which Brooke and her staff have masterfully created for our home. Brooke's gift and talent are a given. But it was her warmth and professionalism--from our photo session to portrait selection to our subsequent interactions with customer service--as well as her valuable and insightful advice and suggestions that separate her from the rest of her peers. My wife and I never once felt pressured to do anything we did not want to. Working with Brooke was like working with a family member. There are many talented photographers but I suspect not all possess that special something that is beyond instincts and creativity. Looking back at our family photo session at Studio B, I recall my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our three young boys opened up to Brooke. At the end of our photo session, our 2-yr old son walked over to give Brooke a hug. We knew then that Brooke was special. You will know what I mean once you experience it through your own eyes! read more

I had new head shots done with Brooke of Studio B, it was the perfect polished, professional image I needed for my new website. I couldn't be happier! As a hairdresser I've worked with alot of photograghers, Brooke has such an amazing talent that seperates her from all the others. It's a combination of her bubbly personality that get you to open up and smile naturally and her creative eye. I have refered alot of people to Studio B and everyone's pictures are nothing less than gorgeous. When it comes to children and especially senior portraits, Studio B is the BEST! I can not wait to have my son's senior portrait done by her. read more

We've seen Brooke numerous times and love working with her. She knows exactly how to photograph my (crazy) children and make them look like angels! The photos we order always get the best compliments - whether they are on our walls or in albums on our coffee table. We can't wait to go back again. read more

I had seen some of Brooke's work from friends. But had to do my research!! I looked at approx 10 other high rated photogs in San Fran and SEA. I was looking for a business "head shot". I was very surprised - I looked at the other 10 head shot galleries, saving Brooke's for last. It was a 3-4x step change in quality. So I booked- went in at 10:30 AM, had my gallery back by 5 that day. Made my decision the next morning and has final that afternoon. What do I mean by quality - she catches you as you like I did not see to nearly the degree as other shots - she shoots many angles and you get comfortable to be yourself, after 3 minutes I was relaxed and not a Cheshire Cat - she is very thorough up front on what you want to use the photo for-and uses that extensively when taking the shots - she's not heavy handed-if you want a "Glamour Shot" I wouldn't say don't go to her-I just told her that was what I DID NOT want (fans blowing and all). I wanted me and that was the product I received!! Personally I'm turned off by the overly photoshopped not a single wrinkle, blemish etc. I told her that and she is an artist-truly, at decision making in that regard ( but she did have a great canvas to work from ha ha ha!!!). If there were more stars- I would give them. I live in SF and waited until I had a visit with my sis in Seattle to set up appt read more

Studio B rocks! Everything about working with them was great. Tried them out for my business head shots and loved them! Brooke is great to work with so I definitely wanted her referral for a wedding photographer. As luck would have it, Studio B offered (they are just launching Weddings By Studio B). I was extra excited that they were able to shoot my wedding (the photos were everything a girl could dream of) I feel very lucky to have found Studio B! On a side note: I have never liked getting photos done. I always felt uncomfortable and shy in front of the camera, now I WANT more reasons to get photos done! Highly recommended even for the shy types :) read more

I have a son who is a senior. Boys + Photo Shoot = crazy making mom Brooke did an AMAZING job at putting my son at ease during his photo shoot. Quite frankly, I think he actually really enjoyed his time with Brooke & her fun/talkative male assistant. THEN, we saw the photos! Wow! Seriously, Brooke has an eye for GREAT photography. Just go to her webpage to see what I mean. The photos speak for themselves. You get what you pay for. If you want out of this world, professionally done, magazine print quality photos--then Studio B Portraits is your place. If you wanna go to the Issaquah train depot or the water front and have a friend take pics because it's cheaper, then do it. But I guarantee you that you will WISH you would have gone to Studio B. read more

I had such a great experience with the team at Studio B Portraits! They do amazing work if you haven't already seen. I booked with them for our team photo and headshots. We were nervous about posing. Studio B, and Brooke, the photographer/owner, is fabulous! My sister first had her pictures taken by Brooke for her senior photos. I was so jealous when I saw them because I had gone with Vakker for mine. Mine were nice, generic, I still see pictures almost identical to mine to this day. My sisters had personality, and were just gorgeous. A year or so later my family came in to take some pictures for memory, and we had the best experience with Brooke. She was so friendly, and you could tell that she really cared about the photos, and making sure that they were what you wanted. We ended up with beautiful photographs that hang on our wall. Our mom had decided not to come to the session, but after seeing the pictures and how beautiful they turned out she instantly regretted it (compared to our generic photo sessions we've had before, with pictures that end up at the bottom of a drawer two years later). I highly recommend Brooke and Studio B, and will most definitely be going back to her next time I need photographs done. read more

I've started to write this review many times over the past several months and each time I've stopped and set it aside as I struggled with the words to describe the amazing experiences that Brooke has delivered many times over the past several years from professional headshots to family photos. From hair and make up teams to chats about wardrobe in the days/ weeks leading up to the shoot, Brooke and her team has made sure we're "camera ready". Authenticity. Thats the word I've been searching for. It is reflected in each of the photos- from big open mouth laughs, a little dance, and unexpected show of affection between kiddos. Brooke created a space that allowed each person to be themselves and she captured those moments from one on one conversation to a playlist that seemed to have been created just for that moment. The team at Studio B is authentic each time we've engaged with them. Brooke and her team take time to take care with each person who enters the studio to understand their needs and to offer the right services for that moment- not oversell. You should experience the magic that is Brooke and her team. You won't be disappointed. read more

Brooke has shot senior portraits for my 3 children + several sessions for our entire family. She's a professional in every sense. Brooke's goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable in front of the camera. This results in the consistently amazing work. Brooke is uniquely creative with posing a group or an individual in a particular setting. The lasting memories are captured and framed throughout our home and in past Christmas cards. We always have a good time with Brooke and highly recommend Studio B for your portrait needs read more

the entire family showed up to surprise my husband's mom and grandmothers for new years, and in less than 24 hours (on new years day no less), brooke n staff were able to schedule a sitting session in a day or two. they gave us great tips to prepare for the shoot and didn't bat an eyelash when another relative showed up (he was the grand finale appearance). after booking the session, i found out that 3 of the 7 family members hated getting their pictures taken, so i was doubly impressed that brooke was able to make them feel comfortable enough to relax and laugh a lot during the session. it wasn't a chore or a forced, mechanical process. it was a great experience overall. i did not handle the financial arrangements, so i can't tell you much. you get to view thumbnails of the final selected shots (the mom and grandmothers chose about 25-30 final shots from prob. over 200-300!) on an online gallery. brooke worked it out so that us out of town visitors could see the pictures. the pictures and slideshow (that might be something extra the mom got) are easily linkable to facebook and rss feeds, so you can still share them with others. The pictures themselves can be pricey (99 for an 8X10), but perhaps thats the going rate. (i dunno, i dont get amazing portraits of myself done everyday...) i never worried about brooke's skills as a photographer, but she certainly surpassed my expectations. she was able to capture almost every aspect of my husbands smile (how much more epic could that be? and the answer is none. none more epic.) and the slient grace of the grandmothers. sadly, one of our grandmother's suddenly passed away this week, and while we are dealing with our loss, we are very grateful we had the opportunity to visit Studio B and capture such a great moment when we were together and remember nana in such a great way. read more

I had the best experience with Studio B. They are worth the price you pay!!! Their studio is beyond cute. You feel like you are in a loft studio in NY. Brooke is so easy to work with and makes you feel at ease. I call her a miracle worker. Her pictures all belong in magazines! She has an incredible eye and will get perfect shots.
