We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day coverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie. From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she "forgot" pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly's presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony. If it's possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost. We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn's customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we're still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn's post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish. read more

WOW! There are not enough words to properly explain and gloat about how wonderful our experience was. Jenn was the highlight of our wedding vendors. We interviewed a handful and felt an instant connection. Not only is she super professional and great at what she does, she makes being photographed fun and easy! She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. For our engagement photos she made both of us feel super comfortable not only in front of the camera, but also packing on the PDA at Sculpture Park lol. The photos were fantastic and really did capture who we are as a couple! Fast forward to our wedding. She was super organized, able to keep our family in line (it can be like herding cats) but most importantly, she was super inclusive to all of our family and friends. My wedding finally happened and JENN TAI finally happened. I can't convey enough in words how lucky we were to have Jenn as our photographer. So aside from talent which I had already mentioned in my review from before and being able to capture emotion like no other, she also kept our wedding on track. I feel like she was an essential puzzle piece of the entire night that kept the flow as we intended. Without her, it feels like the sequenced of events may have derailed, honestly. Jenn is super organized, and emailed me a thorough timeline of how/when we should do photos in an organized manner, and as a rigid time/punctual person this helped me out massively. It really kept everything on schedule and I am so glad Jenn was there to do just that on the day of. You can tell she's well experienced in the wedding industry, and I needed that kind of experience/advice on my side. I'm also amazed at the rapid turnaround time. She took *SOOO* many photos and was able to get me my album within 1 month of the wedding. I was expecting it to take much longer. Trust me now - book her for your big day and you will NOT regret it. We spent so much time going back and forth between different photographers that I am so happy that we went with the right one! From my first conversation with Jenn, I already felt the connection. Jenn photographed our wedding, and we could not be happier with our choice! I knew Jenn was our girl the first time we met her. She was kind, professional, goofy and really listened to what we wanted. Given that my husband and I both don't like posing for photos, we were nervous about being in front of the camera for an entire day; she made us feel completely at ease. We also felt that she was very well-priced, given her incredible talent. On the day of, Jenn (with help from her very capable assistant) was fantastic. When it was time for getting ready shots and two of my bridesmaids were nowhere to be found, she rolled with it; she took shots of my husband and came back in time to get pictures of the girls. We told her we hated being distracted by photographers during weddings, and she was like a ninja during our ceremony. At the reception, one of our overly-zealous dancing guests kicked a really tall speaker over and Jenn CAUGHT IT WITH ONE HAND while holding on to the camera with another. It could have been a disaster, but she was so calm about it I don't think anyone even noticed. She was a fabulous part of our wedding, and I was sad to see her go at the end of the night! The most important thing is the photos, and they are breathtaking. I really never knew I could look so beautiful. She made us look good, but also captured the spirit of the day. Jenn is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so lucky I found her for my wedding. She's not only a brilliant photographer, but she's hysterical and fun to work with. We would have been lost without her on our wedding day. She gave us the best advice, was calm, cool and collective, and guests loved her.
