We were recommended Marissa through a friend and she did a beautiful job with our family photos. We weren't sure how things would go with our four-month-old baby, but she brought high energy to the shoot to keep him engaged. I think these are the most amazing photographers on earth. I say that both as an amateur photographer, and as someone who has a few close friends who are wedding photographers. My fiance and I hired Marissa and Erik for our very small elopement. Since there would be no family present - it was really important to us to find someone who could 'capture all the moments' that they could not personally witness. We communicated that we would prefer a 'photojournalism' like shoot - and man, did they deliver 1000% on that. All the photos feel very natural, are beautifully lit, and feel very 'in the moment'. On top of being amazingly skilled, and having a great eye, they are true professionals. I got a glimpse of their equipment - and let me tell you: they sport the real deal stuff. Soft focus optics, reallllly good lenses (any photographer worth their salt knows an investment in lenses is really what separates the photo class 101 folks from the pro's). These folks are fully prepared to make you look great in any setting or lighting. Marissa did most of the pose work and pre-wedding communication - and we found her very easy to work with. She is efficient, organized, and very good at giving directions - which is perfect when you tend to be awkward and a bit uncomfortable with being photographed. She also sent us a very handy list of vendors and locations to choose from before the wedding! The photos were done *really fast* (3 days - wow!), GLOWINGLY BEAUTIFUL, and sent everybody's parents into tears. My grandma said that I created the "glow" - but I think it was a multiple thousand dollar lens kit plus the Ciccarelli's who did all that (...yeah, yelp, don't tell my grandma I said that ok?)! Marissa did our newborn photos with our first baby boy in our home. She took the time upfront to understand our story, get a better idea of the type of photos we wanted, and to ensure we had all of the desired props on hand. Never before has my family been motivated to take an official family portrait, but there are suddenly spouses and grandchildren and dogs and it finally seemed like a good idea. But, what really set them a part from everyone else was how personable everyone described them to be. This was our first time taking professional photos so it was kind of awkward for us at first. Erik and Marissa are the dream team.  Not only are they wonderful people (which is a really big deal since you're going to be spending a lot of your wedding day with them), but they take stunning photos.  I can't keep track of the amount of friends and family who have commented on how beautiful our wedding photos are AND how Erik and Marissa had such a wonderful demeanor on our wedding day.  Organizing photos among large families and bridal parties is no easy task, but they did it with ease.  Some photographers get visibly frustrated, bossy, etc., and I get it, it's a hard job, but that's not the type of vibe anyone wants on their wedding day.  Instead, Erik and Marissa bring joy and fun to the entire day.  Due to COVID, we had to reschedule our wedding three times, and while not every vendor could be accommodating during this difficult time, I think it's important to call out those truly special vendors who went above and beyond and did everything they could to make it easy on their couples. I communicated with Marissa to shoot a last minute engagement session and she was kind enough to squeeze us in for one. We bought a session with Marissa and Erik using LivingSocial. We were looking for an outdoor family photo shoot with our 9 month old and could not have made a better choice! We set up an appointment via email a few months ago, as we were looking to get our pictures taken around a specific event. Marissa sent out a few questions to understand us better and picked a beautiful outdoor location. On the day of the shoot, they showed up on time, and even thought about bringing a blanket for our daughter's individual shots. We moved to the Sea-Tac area from NC around my daughter's first birthday, we wanted to get pictures done before moving but didn't have the time. We are so glad we waited until we got here and found the Ciccarelli's. We did a family shoot/one year photo's of our daughter. We had the pictures done in October at Owen beach. They showed up a little earlier than us to scope out the beach and to find what best works for the photo session we wanted. Also it helped maximize our time so we didn't feel rushed, which also allowed for more picture opportunities. They also brought awesome props. They were more than accommodating! Charlotte, our daughter, loved them! They were so patient with her. We scheduled the photos for 2pm on a Saturday and it was forecasted to rain that day (not a surprise), but we were hoping for some sun. At 11am the sun came out, Marissa and Erik were able to meet us within 30 minutes to capture our family shoot in the sun. They were so flexible and completely prepared. We cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Erik & Marissa, both as (the best) photographers, and as being amazing people to work with. We happened upon the Ciccarelli's to do our wedding photography, and truly can't imagine the day without them. They are so kind and pleasant to work with, and the pictures speak for themselves. We have had endless people raving over our wedding pictures, to this day several years later. They are very creative, but also keep in mind what you ask for, which for us was also having all the "classic" wedding shots with family, etc. We were blown away with the quality of their work, as well as the class with which they do their job. After our wedding pics, they were enlisted to do newborn photography after we had our baby girl. It was so lovely having them over and I knew they would take amazing baby and family pictures, even in a time when I was not feeling like I looked my best. They are pictures we will treasure forever! Erik and Marissa are amazing! From the initial contact, they were responsive and easy to work with. Marissa was friendly and warm, patient and professional - it was no easy feat shooting seven adults and four kids (between the ages of 2-10 years old.)
