My husband realized he was getting screwed on his auto insurance so he started shopping around. I called Mercury to get him a quote and while on the phone, I figured it couldn't hurt to see if I could get a cheaper policy, too. For the same insurance I have now, the estimate was almost DOUBLE! The woman on the phone told me I better check with my original broker as she was pretty sure I only had liability insurance and that's why it was so cheap. Freaked out, I called Tony to clarify and find out exactly what my policy covered. He was so kind, straight to the point and broke it all down for me. He reassured me I had a great full-coverage policy at such a great price that it would be nearly impossible to find anywhere else (I started this policy almost 10 years ago). We were in the process of buying our first investment property and had a lot of questions in reference to insurance policies and what coverages to shop for. Karlos took the time to listen to us and understand our needs prior to making any recommendations. What impressed us was the fact that Karlos stayed more than 30 minutes late after office hours to cater to us even when he knew that we were undecided on the insurance policy coverage we wanted; and that there was a possibility that we would not pursue either of the insurance policy options being discussed/evaluated mainly because we did not know what final premiums would be offered by Coastal States Insurance.
