We waited almost an hour after our appointment time, but it all made sense when we got to see the doctor. Dr. B patiently sat with my grandmother for around 2 and a half hours. She asked her a ton of questions about her hearing issues, current hearing aids, and general activity. She is also the only doctor that has ever spoken loudly and clearly enough for my grandmother to understand. She tested my grandmother's hearing in a soundproof booth, and explained in great detail what her issues are and what could be done about them. I should mention that my grandmother is also legally blind (which throws off a lot of medical professionals), but Dr. B taught her how to use her hearing aids by feel, which was amazing! My grandmother got new hearing aids, as well as a tester pair to use for a week while they were being built. We had some personal issues in the interim, so it took a while for us to pick up the new hearing aids, but Dr. B's office was super kind and flexible! We also got to try them for a few weeks at home before we had to pay for them, which we were able to do over the phone. Fair warning that the office is in the basement of an apartment building which is NOT handicap accessible. There is a ramp to get into the building, but there are two or three small steps to get to the office. The office itself is also small, but my grandmother's wheelchair just barely fit in. My grandmother's hearing is much better, and we are very happy with Forest Hills Audiology!

Dr. Roxanne Borukhov and Dr. Kathleen Kalschmid both possess professionalism, knowledge and humor; traits that create an excellent hearing healthcare environment. I was set up with my new hearing Oticon devices. I'm still getting used to them but during my second visit, I received adjustments that made a helpful difference. The ladies at the reception desk are professional, kind and helpful as well. It isn't always that you can find these qualities in my experience. On a side note: On my way to the office, I slipped and fell . I hurt my hand and arm. Kristen at reception, fixed me up with a bandaid, Bacitracin and a cup of water. I spedifically needed 2 prescriptions refilled. I asked her twice if she sent them and she said yes. Hours later, the pharmacist said they were not sent. I called and faxed the office numerous times and was told the prescriptions would be resent immediately. The WERE NOT RESENT. I was told 3x by the office that they sent a message to the Dr. & medical assist, and that she would call me and resend them. No call came and no prescriptions ever came. This is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and frustrating having to call and call and get NO response. I was also told by the pharmacist that they left several messages for a prescription renewal too but no one ever got back to them. This is outrageous that they treat patents this way.

All that travel, tired and beaten she calls me upset/crying asking if she said anything wrong and she only asked for help. When I called the office 3 out of the 5 times it went immediately into "this office is closed" the 4th time the receptionist said she couldn't hear me and hung up. 5th and finally when she "could" hear me and approached this issue the stated that it was her coworker who spoke to my mother and she will asses the situation and call back. She did not call back nor did she even try to sound as if she cared. For Mr.Huo...Is this the type of practice you envisioned when you opened this place? Doesn't having staff like this go against your Hippocratic Oath? Would you appreciate your mother being treated this way? My impression at first was okay despite the negative reviews I see on yelp. However, after my second trip, things didn't turn nice. Don't get me wrong, the doctor is nice and smart and knows what he's doing. However, you have the receptionists and nurses who have the impression on people who just don't want to work. I noticed on my first time this nurse who took me in and did the regular check-up was not even having it with me... really? It was literally in the morning before 10 am. Can people be that grumpy this early?. Before my second visit, I got a reminder call. The receptionist was not too nice. They were giving me some attitude because my insurance failed ( not my fault, insurance messed up). Anywho, they were not too nice with explaining it. When I actually went for my 2nd visit, there were three receptionists in front, all but one was decently nice. There was this big boned lady who yelled at a customer who was asking if a certain doctor was in this room, if not where. This went on for a min with a lot of attitude. I don't know about you but if someone is working in your company they have to present the company overall. Because what you present to people affects the company and the physician's image. I hope they either replaced the nurses and receptionist or gave them some lecture about office equitte and customer service. Again, the doctor is great. I really can't say enough about Dr. Buza's honesty from the first visit. He had me try other…read moreoptions before electing surgery. He referred me to a pain management specialist and he was amazing. He gave treatments that helped with my pain for over a year along with PT unfortunately my body didn't the tolerate as accepted but not as long as it should've. I then after almost two years later we discussed surgery. I was nervous because I never had surgery but his honesty and compassion put me at easy. He explained the steps clearly and told me what to expect when having the full lumber area worked on. From the check outarea Brianna took care of everything for me. Then when surgery was completed and I was admitted for a week every one from Dr. Buza his full PA staff and nurses made me feel so special and made sure I was comfortable in every aspect and discharged with full instruction on handling the worst 2 weeks of pain and discomfort. He sent nurses, OT,PT to my home along with all medical equipment I would need. I felt like a VIP PATIENT and would highly recommend that team especially Dr. Buza. My recovery is going great and love that my quality of life without pain is a blessing. With humble gratitude and appreciation to this great surgeon and his whole team.
