I bought a radio receiver board (to go in a Genie AC Powered Screw Drive garage door opener) from this company for $60. The part did not work. The exchange of this part momentarily from the old receiver board has made my opener even worse. I took it out right away. The company refuses to take parts back. I asked "What if the part itself is faulty?" They said nope, they won't take it back. So I'm now out $60 and my opener doesn't work AT ALL, when originally only the remote wouldn't work. I'm not using a Genie opener ever again and nor am I using this company. read more

Horrible experience. I will never use them again. My garage door opener stopped working. I went through my home warranty company. They contracted this company to do the work. The technician installed a new opener. He said I also needed new springs for my garage door. They replaced the heavy duty springs that were in good condition with cheap springs that weren't strong enough to hold my large garage door. The springs broke after a few months because they couldn't hold the weight of my the door. The company refused to pay to replace the cheap springs because they said they don't have any record of replacing them. read more

These guys bailed me out today in a big way. My garage door broke today and my car was trapped in there because I could not get the door to budge (broken cables and spring). I called a company I had used a couple of years ago from a coupon, and they told me they would be out by 2pm. At 3, they called to tell me they weren't coming, so I called AAction. They were there within about an hour and fixed everything. The door works great now. The tech John was really nice, and even programmed a couple of remotes for the garage door that I had not been able to get programmed due to my non-techie tendencies. Yes! Use these guys especially if you have a Liftmaster or Genie Garage Door opener. After being improperly serviced by another company. These guys came out Diagnosed the problem in 2 min. Quoted me a price kept to the $165 price quoted and even added a few extra things that were optional like installing the keypad opener that was never installed. hooking up the wiring tot he Houses Original wiring. Adding the missing braket that probably caused the problem in the first place. I also learned that my model was not "crap" but was actually top of the line. read more

We purchased a garage door and opener from Aaction Overhead Door in 2009 and over the years have called them a couple of times to make some minor adjustments. We've always had a great experience with them! Today, Brian came out to install a brace and adjust the springs. He was friendly, extremely informative and very professional. Terrible experience. Called my warranty company, they sent me this contractor. They made a repair that we didn't think was the issue, however, we trusted that it was. It had hitches afterward but it would go up and down. After a month it completely broke again. They came out to say it was something else and that it would cost us more $$$. It's still broken and we are going for a different company. Unreliable, poor service, rude tech, will not stand by work nor did they follow-up. Never again. Good luck!!! read more

I have no handyman experience so I rely on the professionals out there to take care of things that are on the blink at my home - and hope they don't take advantage of my lack of knowledge of their trade by sticking it to me with a huge bill. I also work full time so my time is very valuable to me. Yesterday, I had a new garage door opener installed at my rental home. Tyler was assigned to my project. Not only did Tyler call me 30 minutes before arriving to give me the heads up he was on his way so I didn't have to wait at home, but rather got some work done while I waited for his call. When I got there, he was already there. Tyler was very pleasant, professional, respectful and just made you feel like he cared about his work. He went over all the details of the garage door opener and how to operate it. I hope I will never have any further issues with my garage like I did in the past, but if I do, I will most certainly call Aaction. Kudos to their scheduling staff "Amanda" as well - very pleasant. This company works with a home warranty company. We called them to fix our garage door since the coil was not pulling the door. They came and fixed the problem, it was not included on the warranty.So we paid with a check. Few weeks later the door was broken again. We called them to ask them to come again and take a look and see if it was the same problem or a new one. They did not call us back, the next week they did call and we thought they were returning the call so we explained the problem. They were calling because our check bounced back (our bank account was compromised and we closed the account, did not remember about that pending check). We explained the situation and ask them to come to the house and fix the problem and we will pay them full. The old and the new fixing. They said they will not come to the house until we pay them with a $15.00 fee for the returned check. We asked them again to take a look at the door and we will pay them and explained again that it was an honest mistake and we were going to pay immediately. They refused again and requested their payment by credit card. My husband explained we were going to send another check but this one was not going to be returned, they were very stubborn about this and wanted a credit card immediately. BAD SERVICE(the problem was not fixed), No guarantee (They refused to come back ), DISRESPECT to the customer (they treated us very bad from the beginning). We had sent the check to the company with the fee, we are definitely calling our Trusted door company and not calling this company ever again. read more
