During our boat ride out to see the whales, we saw fisherman and many beautiful beachfront homes. Also, Melissa explained about the other sea life in the area. She was open to questions. It was finally close to 3 PM, before we saw approximately 7 whales. It's little tricky to photograph the whales, as the waters were choppy. (Plus, you don't want to lose your phone). Just a suggestion for upcoming visitors: Food is sold upon the boat. However, I would recommend bringing your own snacks. The pretzel we had was just fair. Also, plan on dressing in warm layers and bring gloves. It was cold! Overall, we had a spectacular time see these wonderful whales. He goes ABOVE AND BEYOND what he needs to do. He plans the air, airline seats, last minute changes, cruise arrangements around Norway and Amsterdam. He then arranged for us to take a transfer to the Thalys (train) to Paris. We did the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre tours as well as sight seeing. On top of that he arranged the transportation to Disney Euro in Paris where we stayed another 4 days and obtained park passes which he managed as well. Some large groups made standing outside to look at the sights impossible, though there was plenty of room inside (but it was warm in there). Got back to the area across from Jenkinsons around 845 and idled until the fireworks display, which was okay but partially blocked by a building. Not sure why the captain chose to park the boat there knowing that some folks would have an obstructed view. Parking is a bit problematic as you are blocked in by other cars, and there is no one to irect traffic out of the small lot when it's over. Overpriced but all in all not a bad evening at the shore.

REVIEW IS FOR CABIN CAMPING…read more Whenever we need a little glamping getaway, we rent a cabin here. It's an easy drive, the staff are all very helpful, and the cabins are well maintained. Our cabin came with two rooms. The front room came with a full? maybe queen sized bed with a mattress. The back room had two bunk beds to accommodate a total of four people. Plenty of electrical sockets if you want to add an extra heater or fan. The front room has an AC unit. No bathroom, no kitchen. You get a nice sized spot facing mostly forest with a fire pit and a picnic table, which is great for cooking and eating. They also provide an outdoor spigot for non-potable water and a garbage bin. Easy walk to the very clean bathrooms where you can grab a hot shower if you want. Definitely book ahead.

Unlike many state parks there is no admission fee here. Parking is free and plentiful. There are several lots to park in. I'd highly suggest looking at their website and the maps on it. Allaire was a factory town back in the 1800's and is now a year-round park with hiking trails, tons of events, and even shopping! Leashed dogs are allowed except for inside the buildings. We were recently at the Witches, Wizards, and Wands event hosted by New Jersey Food Truck Events and Your New Jersey and it was SO MUCH FUN and a great job was done by the Allaire staff! Brie was blessed by the bubble fairy (meadowlarkthefaerie), watched magic tricks, walked in the dog costume parade, met a bunch of witches, wizards, and even a bewitched tree, watched a juggling act, listened to music and the train, and met so many wonderful people! We even ran into Kamryn Hope, another dog who gets out and about as much as Brie! There are entrance fees charged from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. And most events have an admission charge that goes directly to Allaire. Other events include: Flea markets Craft shows Performances Lantern Tours 4 Paws Sake Family Fun Fest And much more...

Took Emerson's walking tour of Asbury Park last weekend with my husband. Though we of course had…read moreheard of Asbury Park and admired their musicians (Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes), we had never been. So Emerson's introduction on our first morning was very worthwhile. Emerson shared with us the history, anecdotes, interesting buildings of the Asbury Park boardwalk area, nearby Ocean Grove and the downtown. Emerson has clearly done a lot of research, and we learned things we would have never picked up on our own. Therefore, I highly recommend the tour!

This review will focus on the overall experience and the Intro to Whitewater experience. First off,…read moreANYONE can do this trip, do not bother with the beginner trip down the river. Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.

These guides were so sweet and so professional. At one point we accidentally ran over Monica with our raft. She just smiled and said to be more careful. Then, we can her over again. It was not intentional. That woman needs to be canonized as a saint after putting up with our group. The trip was awesome. Just about anyone could do it. There is this one part where someone comes and takes your picture as you're paddling. Made sure to get a copy of that. Can't wait until it arrives in the mail. Originally I bought tickets for July 13, but had to reschedule due to a conflict. Bonnie was responsive and helpful during the process! We went on our tour yesterday with Bri as our guide. Bri was an incredible guide who peppered history throughout our tour. We were super impressed by the quantity of food and drink on the tour. We left very full with leftovers for days and lots of recommendations for future visits to Asbury.
