Do not use for Suzuki service!!! Nick is a liar, Incompetent so called Suzuki mechanics, couldn't figure out that the problem was a loose wire connection. They never really fixed the problem, boat came back with more issues than it had before service. Changed out multiple good parts that were covered under the warranty and never submitted the paperwork for it even though they said they did, confirmed that nothing was submitted with Suzuki warranty. Boat came back filthy, they couldn't even bother to wipe down the fingerprints or clean up the boot prints, and I definitely do not recommend Benchmark Suzuki for service. read more

I have a 3 year old Suzuki outboard motor. The motor is still under warranty. I have a problem with the sensor in the engine fuel filter bowl. I stopped by Benchmark yesterday..They claim to be a Suzuki outboard dealer. I started to describe my problem when the man behind the counter interrupted and asked me if I purchased the motor from him. After telling him no he said he would not honor Suzuki's warranty but he would gladly sell me a new motor. anyone looking to do business with Benchmark think twice! read more

The owners are extremely unprofessional. Specifically the husband. My friends and family had taken 2 private charters out two weekends in a row and spent thousands of dollars . The second time around we had kindly told the owner that the speaker was not working on the boat and his response to my sister was " you should've fucking realized before you went out " we were so upset and taken back that we waited and wanted to speak to the wife and her response was " we're overwhelmed " and we said that's not an excuse to speak to someone that way and she goes well sorry . I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism and the fact that these people own a business . As a business owner myself the fact that they speak to others this way let alone paying customers safe to say they won't be in business much longer . read more

Kevin and his female assistant were so nice and helpful. We had a party of 9...including 3 children and rented for 4 hours. Kevin checked me out on all aspects of the boat. I took pictures and video of prop..which I would recommend to all...before and after whenever you rent anything. I could not get the blue tooth to work ...but the boat was quiet enough to enjoy the music from my phone speaker at slow speeds. Kevin explained the throttle operation and safety features thoroughly. I've been boating for over 40 years and we've owned 3 boats in the past. We've rented from others...and I would highly recommend renting from Kevin and his professional teammates! Boats are clean and ...again...take video whenever renting anything. We had an EXCELLENT time. One last thing...I've been boating on Barnegat Bay for 4 decades...so if you enter the main part of Barnegat Bay...make sure to note which bouy # you will return into. The GPS map ...that map shows where others that rented have traveled. Also remember, the second # down on the display shows your DEPTH...stay in the channel and you'll be ok. The Bay is shallow in many places ...so watch your Depth # and don't bottom out. Hope this helps many! read more

Amazing experience from the moment we entered the lot! We hired a driver because we do not have boating licenses. We got stuck with Nick I., and boy was I happy. He was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He fit right in with our family and it was like he was a friend not a 'hired driver'. The boats were also in great condition. I would recommend bringing a speaker if you want to hear some music. They do have Bluetooth speakers but only 2 were working so the quality wasn't fantastic. You're able to rent tubes also and that just adds an extra level of fun to it all. Overall, definitely recommend these guys! This was our first year renting with them but it won't be our last! read more

We rented a pontoon boat on July 4th and the company was so kind to add on a 6-10pm slot for us. We were able to take food, drinks, comfortably fit our group of 8 plus a captain, and were able to enjoy tubing and fireworks! The sales associate Nick as well as our captain Nick (owner) were great, friendly, and very helpful! Would recommend and am already planning on booking again before the summer ends! read more

Extremely unorganized. Drove over 2 hours with a group of 12 people only to find out they lost my reservation and had absolutely no solutions to this problem. The owners head is in the clouds. He has no clue how to run a business. Don't bother coming here. Beyond terrible customer service. We reserved two boats, paid two separate deposits a month in advance. Tried multiple times to confirm the reservation of both boats, with no response from their end. When they finally decide to confirm the reservation DAYS BEFORE the reservation, they tell us we only have one boat "because their booking system has problems" and our second reservation was lost in transport their end. Their solution? "Oh well. There's nothing we can do." You could at least try to keep your customers somewhat satisfied since we are paying customers. read more

Rented a pontoon boat for a bday bash with my friends to go to F cove for the day. Had an awesome time and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, they even let me use their air pump for all of my floats! The boat even has cooler built into it so we didn't need to bring ours. We also hired a captain for the boat and he was also very friendly and made sure we had a blast! (Thanks nick!) This place is an absolute DISASTER. My cousin rented a pontoon about 2 weeks in advance for her birthday this past Sunday. She even put her credit card down for a deposit. The day before, she called to confirm everything and gave an exact time that we would be there. The guy Nick she spoke with said everything was all confirmed. When we showed up that day for our appointment, no one was anywhere to be seen; the place was a ghost town. So my cousin called Nick and he winds up telling us all the boats were rented for the day and somehow her reservation was "misplaced." Apparently someone without a reservation came in before us and he rented them our boat. We went back and forth on the phone with Nick for over an hour. He was trying to get us to find a key and get into his shed that had his customer information so that WE could try and call the people on the boat to come back early. We had separate groups of people that drove over 2 hours for this day, who wound up having to go back home because of the "delay." LONG story short, after 3 1/2 hours of waiting in the blazing sun at 90 degrees... we finally got on the boat at 4:30 PM. When the people that were using it got back, there were again no employees to be found and no one there to help them dock the boat OR refuel the gas for us. My friends and I wound up having to help the people and then we waited another 20 minutes for someone to show up and put gas in the boat. The only decent thing I can say is that he only wound up charging us $100 instead of the approximate $450 it was supposed to be. We definitely should have gotten it for free. NEVER AGAIN. Originally intended to rent a pontoon for my friends and I two weekends ago, but there was a mix up unfortunately with our reservation. Nick ended up being extremely helpful and super apologetic about the confusion, he actually was able to give us a free day for a later weekend of our choice! My friends and I had an incredible time and wouldn't change a single thing. Nick was there the day of our new rental and apologized again for what happened- extremely kind/ genuine and professional about the whole thing. His pontoons are fantastic- leather seats, Bluetooth speakers, and the crew helped us out with bags of ice and blowing up our rafts for us. Such a good experience even after the confusion.
