I gave David the owner / smog technician $2300 deposit for a car I came the next to pick up the vehicle and transmission didn't work fast forward he returned $800 of the $2300 and refused to give me back my deposit and he kept the cars. Don't trust him. read more

Small place in the car wash. As many have said, David is a bit gruff but very nice. I had an issue with my test due to not using my Volt's gas engine in many months so had to come back, but he didn't charge me the second time. Free car wash means it's essentially even cheaper than $40. read more

This place was quick to answer when I called, it's the most affordable around and they do the job right. The man that helped me was very polite and told me I could stay in my car with the AC on while he did the smog. Took like 10 mins and it was done. He then gave me a card with a free car wash that doesn't expire so basically I only paid $20 for my smog because the car wash is a $20 credit. The only reason I'm writing a review was because I called around for prices and everywhere else it was more expensive and they either didn't answer the phone at all or where very rude and this place was the best. read more

This guy is named david and he is really nice. Its a test only place and he is star certified. The cost is $40 and you get a free car wash valued at $20. He gives you a coupon stating free car wash and your able to come back at a later date with a different car if you want to redeem your car wash. The smog check takes 12min and he accepts card or cash.. I'll be back because of great costumer service and I found no fault to anything he did read more

It's imperative that you bring that to your session. Nice guy, very friendly and professional. They offer a $32 service for expediting payment for the registration same day, but if you have a computer at home, you won't need that. All-in-all, a quick appointment, and unavoidable, but I would definitely come back if or when (probably next year). Pro tip: Fill up your tank and use a fuel injector cleaner from Autozone or O'Reilly's. Most importantly though, if your check engine light is on, you won't pass.

I had spoken to David by telephone the night before coming in for smog. David told me to remind him we spoke on the phone when I brought my car in & he would give me the best discount he possibly could. Drove into the bay at 8:30AM & out the door by 9:00AM (with $8.00 off & credit for free car wash credit). As you can see, I talk a lot; however David was professional & polite, he did not let my discussions distract him from his work! I worked for 10 years on Chevron service stations, working my way up to Senior Automotive Technician, CA State & ACE Certified in: Brakes, Lamp, Tune-up & Smog Inspection. David knows his job & who his customer is, he will not hesitate to inform you of any major issues he discovers that may cause your car to fail the smog inspection & if your smog systems have not been tampered with he will efficiently & quickly get you on your way. I believer he is an honest technician & that he will not try to high pressure you or sell you anything you do not need. I am father & grandfather of 4 girls / "adult children'' living at home with my wife & I; we are a family with 4 cars, I will not hesitate to recommend all my family take their cars to David when smog work is required & Woodcrest/Orange Terrace residents do not hesitate to take your vehicles to Dave at AAA Smog.
