He educated me, showed me how to do a drain field test myself and answered a bunch of pending questions that I've always had. Russell is professional, kind, fast, transparent and so easy to work with. I truly feel like Sterling should be every septic owners go to. They haven't failed me once and I am a picky customer. Initially, Sterling told me that there would be no one available until Monday morning, but offered me info on another company if I wanted to check with them instead. But then, within the hour, they figured out a way to get the last of their guys who was still out in the field over to my place for a diagnosis. Guy was here in under an hour. What's more, to make sure everything was well and truly addressed, the boss himself stopped by on his way to a birthday party to offer a little oversight, hands-on assistance, and some on-the-job staff training. Sterling ended up pumping my tanks, which was fine, but there was no charge for the extra service call, which was even better, and everything was resolved by 6:00 PM. These folks could have easily said, sorry, can't do anything until Monday, and I would have understood. Instead, they went the extra mile for a good customer - and now they've ensured that they'll keep that customer for many years to come. That's the way to do business and I thought you Yelpers would want to know.

I used Royal Flush to install new water service from the meter to a new construction ADU, and also…read morerough in the plumbing and drain lines. Quite an involved job. Problems started the first day. When connecting to the water meter, they decided to use a sawzall on the copper manifold that was connected to the meter to avoid digging down an extra 6 inches. When the city discovered this, they replaced it with a new one, and billed them for it. They were unfamiliar with ground covers for the underground shut off valves, and took them 3 months to find correct ones. When they were finally installed, they were set above grade of the surrounding grass so a lawn mower would hit them. Not surprising considering the guy showed up without a shovel and was digging with his hands. I had to dig them up and re-set them myself. Severely lacking attention to detail. During rough-in, they broke out the concrete foundation in the wrong location, leaving me with gaping hole in the concrete stem wall, visible in the main entry next to the front door. When asked to repair it, Kendrick (the owner) said that they were unfamiliar with how to patch concrete. No accountability. When installing A supply/drain box for the washing machine, it was installed at 30" above the floor where it would be inaccessible once a washing machine was installed. I asked Kendrick to move it up high enough so it could be accessed once a washer was in place. He said he would, but it never happened, just plain laziness. The drain lines were put under test and passed inspection. But 24 hours later it started leaking in 2 places. When I asked for a follow up test, they sent me a quote for $1700 - just to fill the system with water!REALLY??? When questioned about what happens if it leaks after drywall and cabinets are installed, I was informed their warranty would cover THEIR parts and labor, and I would be responsible for any drywall, cabinets, and flooring damage due to a leak. When they routed vent pipes in the attic, there was no strapping on any of the pipes to support them. The rubber seal in the roof for the vent pipe was cut very poorly and daylight is visible. When this was brought to their attention, they said to have my roofer fix it. Again, poor attention to detail and no accountability. I have repeatedly called and asked them to come back and fix these issues for weeks, but there is always an excuse. Our scheduler left early, our scheduler is out until next week, our phones are giving us trouble, we're too busy. When I hired them, they were able to start the job right away, no scheduler needed, but now all I get is lip service I would not recommend them for installing any fixtures or rough-in work unless you want to finish the job yourself. Clearing a backed up toilet is about all they are qualified for.

I used these guys at my business after being given the run around by our regular contractor. Having dealt with our regular guys over the years I wasn't expecting much in terms of customer service but these guys completely surprised me. Harry and Jazz showed up, they asked us what our problem was. Sewer odor in our restrooms. They immediately went to work. We are a busy truck stop type business so they had to work around truck traffic with meant them having to move their septic service truck numerous times but they were so pleasant and didn't inconvenience our customers at all. They opened up all of our septic tanks and took their time to show me what the issue was. Basically our first tank had too much sludge from heavy toilet paper usage. The sludge build up was extreme and it was apparent to me that our previous service company didn't clean it out as they claimed. It took them close to an hour and half to clean out all the sludge and gray water. After they cleaned out the first two tanks they showed me how clean they were. They also cleaned out the filters and checked pump operations. They thoroughly explained to me how septic system works and showed me each component. They advised that I schedule a more frequent 6 month service of the system instead of once a year. When they gave me the invoice, that was the second surprise... a pleasant surprise. They showed me what it costs them to dump the sewage waste and charged me a very reasonable labor rate for far less time than they spent. The bill was close to half of what my previous contractor charged. They both explained that while they did spend extra time, they didn't want me to pay extra for the mistakes of our previous service company. They instead want to do a honest job and earn my repeat business. Which they now have.

Jeff explained that company policy requires customers to be informed of service charges before any work is performed and acknowledged that this did not happen in my case. He stated that he addressed the matter with the employee involved to help ensure it does not happen again. Most importantly, Jeff took immediate steps to make the situation right and offered me a full refund. I have since checked my credit card account and the refund is currently pending. While I was extremely disappointed and frustrated by my initial experience, I am equally impressed by the company's willingness to take responsibility, listen to a customer complaint, and take corrective action. Mistakes can happen in any business, but how a company responds to those mistakes speaks volumes about its character. I appreciate Jeff's professionalism and commitment to customer service. Based on the way this matter was resolved, I do not believe the company intends to take advantage of its customers, and I am grateful for their efforts to rectify the situation. Original: They were quick to respond to my request for service. However, the pricing was, in my opinion, unreasonable and bordering on unethical for less than five minutes of work. The technician used a high-powered snake to unclog a toilet and charged nearly $400 for the service. When I called, I was only informed of a $50 service call fee that would be applied toward any work performed. No one provided an estimate or discussed the potential cost of a simple toilet clog before the work was completed. The technician arrived, assessed the problem, fixed it within minutes, and then left briefly before returning with a tablet showing a bill for almost $400. I was genuinely shocked. Had I been informed of the cost beforehand, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed decision. I feel taken advantage of and believe the pricing was excessive for the service provided. Unfortunately, my lack of knowledge about plumbing costs came at a high price. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sharing my experience so that other consumers can make informed decisions before agreeing to service.

Right on time Saturday morning we have two Rooter Tech, plumbers here and ready to go. After explaining the scrub head sucking, toilet situation and for asking to add a tank rebuild to the estimate/project, they got to work. It didn't take too long before they came back with a price that was fair, to do the work. Rooter Tech, was the third plumbing contractor we got an estimate from and it was worth it to hold out for the right people. Tim went under the house in the crawl space and discovered that the Heat-pump installers several years ago had lifted the sloping 2" drain to accommodate their own lines creating a low spot which allowed grease and crud to accumulate. Tim came back out later with materials and replaced the lines to required specifications and fixed it for good! I might add that all the folks there are very friendly. I will use them again, if ever needed. The only minor thing I would add is that if quoted a bid, get it in writing and sign it to protect both you and the company.
