Knowing that we would be in the Portland area in about a week, we reached out to Carly at Clackamas RV. They ordered us a new unit to be on hand when we got there. Thanks to them we were able to continue on home to Florida with a dependable AC as we passed through the desert southwest and the deep south in August.

We aren't new to RV'ing but this was the first time we had ever experienced an electrical issue like this and I had already admitted how stupid I felt. He's **fast** to respond to questions and just so kind in a world where people laugh when you ask questions on social media. He never said "you can pay me and I'll answer you..." NO, he answered every.single.question I had. Even 2 weeks later, he's still answering questions without expecting anything in return. The least I can do is recommend this incredibly kind man and wish more people were helpful like he is. Thank you, David. Thank you for your kindness and thorough explanations. I will stay here when rooms are booked at McMenamins and since I have a trailer, why not. I personally like this place. It's clean, it's quiet, and the people are so kind (employees and residents). I love watching the people walking by with their dogs. I feel like it's a doggy parade. I do appreciate that everyone follows the leash rule and keeps their doggies on leash when walking them. It just makes it safe for other dogs. We have stayed on the creek side only but I may venture to the river side next time. One the creek side it is quiet. I know the river side is closer to the I-84 so I am curious how much louder it will be. I guess I may find out this summer. I definitely recommend staying here when you have something going on at Edgefield or honestly, just stay here just because it's a great place.
