Recently got disabled placard for partner. Agent completed the process inside the branch with information I brought in then walked the placard to the car outside for signature so that my partner did not have to manuever on recent foot surgery to get inside the branch. Agent also efficiently and accurately handled registration of a recently purchased sailboat to the name of my trust. Apparently not all that common so she was extra careful to get everything correct. The agents do not know what they are doing. I needed a CLUE report for the sale of my home. (Every house that is sold needs one). The greeter had never heard of it, the agent told me my policy was canceled over a year ago, after telling her she was wrong, her response was, "Oh, just needed to dig a little deeper." (We have three autos and two homes insured with them). Then the agent says she can't run a report for more than a year. A CLUE report is for seven. She makes a phone call and explains what she needs. The person on the phone says it will be prepared in 10 min. I wait 20 minutes and then go to where her and three other employees are talking about on their new hairstyles. (This has now been 50 minutes since I arrived) I tell her I am going to be late for another appointment and I need to leave. She goes back to her desk to check if it's available. It is ready, she prints it and I leave. Seems like entirely too much effort needed on my part for something so simple. read more

I just renewed my registration at this office. When the clerk pulled up the DMV record, the amount owed on her version was $43 more than the amount quoted in my DMV renewal notice. She said she had never seen that happen and that I would have to contact DMV. I went ahead and paid the higher amount to avoid late fees. When I contacted DMV (after two long-hold phone calls), I was told there was an error in my Personalized license plate fee and that I would now have to fill out a refund request and wait who knows how long for a refund. The DMV 'technician' told me that the AAA office should have called DMV while I was there and straightened the discrepancy out before I paid. He said they have a direct line and know they are supposed to do that. So, by trying to use the convenient services of AAA, I am now having to go through a very inconvenient process of trying to get a refund from DMV. read more

The gentleman who helped us was kind, courteous and helpful. My mother's car wouldn't start and he quickly diagnosed the problem. Went into AAA this week with my father to take care of various DMV services. We sat down with Theresa and explained what we needed. She walked us through the various forms we needed to fill out, explaining each step along the way. She was personable and efficient! We were able to transfer titles for two different vehicles, pay registration and get tags, and even update disabled license plates in under an hour! Needed to get temporary disabled placard for an upcoming surgery. Dreaded the thought of going to DMV. When I found out that I could go to AAA instead, I was delighted. My experience completely exceeded my expectations. Everyone was extremely nice, from someone who greeted me to the agent that helped me. Parking was easy an free. Save your time and avoid this location. I stopped in to simply pick up a map and was told that I had to wait until they helped the two people in line BEHIND ME! I asked if next time I needed an appointment to get a map (ridiculous, by the way) and she said that I could only do that if I was using a travel agent. Give me a break! I've had AAA for over 30 years. I doubt I'll renew given the way I was treated today for simply requesting a map. read more

Dont come here on a friday for DMV services. Been waiting for almost 2hrs. They only had 2 people working at the DMV services. There are a bunch of workers walking around, but not enough workers attending the DMV. In addition, they help AAA member service before they help people with DMV. There has been 15+ for DMV and they dont give a shit read more

Careful to get your paperwork back ! I bought a used car . They kept the title . I assumed they were sending it to DMV but nope. It's in narnia ! This has caused a total nightmare!!!!! It was a private party purchase ! They keep saying " it's our protocol to give the title back " that's nice , you didn't give it back . Dmv said it was to be stapled to my registration. There's NO staple holes in my registration.. after posting my original review , there was a reply from aaa . They asked that I email them . I did and no reply . read more

Horrible horrible horrible, I can t say it enough times. I was a customer of 20+ years, and have never been treated so badly by any company , between being lied to , led on, and in general feeling like AAA cares less about me as a customer. I tried since May, when my complaint initially started all the way to July to have someone at AAA resolve this issue. By the time July came and my membership was set to expire I called to cancel, I was told since I had not cancelled prior to the 30 days I was not entitled to any refund. They dragged this problem out and basically said don't let the door hit me in the ass on the way out. I tried to find out the who the CEO of the NorCal division is to detail out my complaint , but it's a deep dark secret , and no one knows. Do not waste your hard earned money on AAA there are plenty of other tow companies, that will be more then happy to have a customer who does business with them for 20 years. read more

I have several home and car policies, and an umbrella policy. I noticed that over time, things had become innaccurate, and I wanted to do a policy review and correction. I have tried doing this over the phone before, and it was not efficient or effective, often taking multiple phone calls, mailings, and other delays while the insurance was not correct. The agent on my policy was assigned at random after my agent retired, and I no longer live near the new agent, nor have I spoken with them for over 7 years. So I decided to try going in to the Pleasant Hill office to sort this all out, update my policies, and increase some coverage. After speaking with two people, it was clear they had no idea what I was asking for. They took copies of a few things, and told me they would "fix it", and call me. Yeah. It's been over a month. Not a peep. Not a manager or actual experienced sales associate in sight. I will try out the other two offices nearby, which I see also have low ratings, and then probably shop for new insurance policies. What a shame. Been a member since 1992. read more
