The receptionist said "did you not know that you had to brush your dog?" (very unprofessional). This particular groomer was very negative as well as the receptionist. almost 175 dollars later. It is very unfortunate that this is how the customer service is, because the groom was nice and we have used their service for many years I have heard this from others as well.

I have observed this owner while he was 'one on one' at his business outside with a smaller breed dog get abusive by pulling on it's leash so hard that the dog was lifted from the ground.This continued several times as I observed from my vehicle. This continued until I could not stand to watch any further.I am a owner of a large breed canine and have for most of my life.I am skilled and educated in the training processes and what I had observed was abuse.It should be noted that this owner has an abusive and unacceptable method of dog training as part of his repertoire from what I observed. Having also observed this owner of this business and his aggressive and dangerous driving habits speeding and cutting in an out of traffic now realize,not only is the owner of this business a liability to to health and safety of animals brought here,but also to the safety of Kamloops motorists. The thing that made me really really love them was the was things were dealt with after having to sadly have my best friend, my 14 year old Siamese put to sleep. They were beyond empathetic and helpful, both emotionally as well as practically, helping to figure out all the final arrangements without feeling at all rushed. I was absolutely shocked and surprised to get a lovely card in the mail from their office about a week later losing my cat. This card was not some generic, computer typed message that they send to every pet owner who loses an animal, but literally signed by at least five or six different staff members with genuine with messages of sympathy for the loss of my cat. It made me cry and I will keep it forever. As if this wasnt all great enough, I just now got an email saying that they have my cats paw prints and I can pick them up anytime...That wasnt even something I was aware that they did, but Im beyond thankful that they did and I can have something else to remember him by. Seriously, if you have a cat go here don't even think twice, you and your cat(s) thank me later. My hairless cat, Butter Chicken actually loves going there. I've seen everything from iguanas to rabbits to parrots when I've dropped my girl off. The small animals all stay in the "cat house" which is a separate building from where all the dogs spend the night. This is great because it means they're away from all the sounds and smells of the dogs that could stress them out. All of the cats get a separate room while the miscellaneous small animals are housed in various cages. The cat house also has a nice fenced in patio area to give all of the animals some outdoor time when they visit. The booking process is easy. If you are a returning guest, everything can be done online and it's easy to change bookings if your circumstances change. New guests need to call the first time and they're always willing to give a tour before you commit to a booking. TLC for Pets is one of the best boarders I have ever worked with! The staff are all friendly and helpful and I am completely confident that they take excellent care of my rabbit. When I've picked her up from other places, she'll be stressed out and shedding like crazy but she always seems calm and carefree after a visit to TLC.

I moved to Kamloops in April and made an appointment to have an examination and get prescription…read morefor my dog who has heart disease. The vet that looked at my dog did not do it in front of me and I had no clue exactly what kind of examination was given all I know is I had paid for an exam and had paid for the toenails to be cut and also the dew claws to be cut and they were not done as I had taken my dog for grooming and the groomer told me and showed me that the nails were not done. The communication at this Clinic is terrible. I asked to have my prescription for my dog refilled and they are holding my dog hostage basically by saying he has to come in for an examination. He had just been in allegedly for an examination. I do not trust those vets at all and I would never ever recommend them and now they won't even see me because I'm letting them know how I feel about them. Yes I used the freaking word not the actual f word but I was very upset and could not control my anger towards them. I called my vet in Vernon and there's not an issue with getting my prescription refilled and if I have to drive to Vernon to have better service I will.
