We switched after an emergency visit for our cat. We were blown away by the empathy and level of care we received so we decided to switch vets, even though the location isn't the most convenient for us. Unfortunately, the vet that we originally saw no longer works here but the other vets we've seen have all been good so we'll continue coming here. Furthermore, the facilities are always spotless when we come in. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. I also love that the clinic is open on Saturdays, which makes things so much more convenient! Parking is easily found at the lot out front. I honestly can't recommend this clinic enough!

Despite not knowing us from a hole in the ground or the kitten, and it being very late at night, they came back in from their home for me. We were desperate. All the other clinics" we had contacted....despite it being obviously the kitten was mortally wounded and suffering...said no. Of course during our call to Oriole Road clinic we were crying our eyes out and bawling the entire time. This of course continued through out our visit when we go there. Despite that Dr Andrew patiently and thoroughly examined the patient in a kindest most gentle way. We felt he cared for that kitten as much as if he had known it a long time. We were horribly embarrassed at our blibbering and blowing our nose into a kleenex every 5 seconds, entirely grateful they would not only see us, but were patiently translating the blibbering into coherent English....and despite the bad news we got we were treated with utmost respect and kindness. The kitten was put out of its suffering as was needed. As a purebred Ragdoll Cattery we truly rely on our vets expert advice. They teach us stuff every time we are there...and of course we want absolutely the best care for our fur babies. Its a bit of a trek out to Valleyview, but well worth it. ALL the staff are extremely helpful every time we are there. All the staff are open, honest and caring. Unlike other places, we have never had them pad their bill or try to fear monger you into things that really are not necessary. In fact.... they will try to find ways to save you money. You always get enough info you can arrive at an informed decision and you leave knowing your cat got absolutely the best care and you made the right decision...even when its an awful decision. At Oriole Road their care extends to their Forever Mom and Dad's as well and we thank them for that. Dealing with an obsessed bona fide old cat lady- we know - can be a challenge...They do it with the utmost care and attention.

Twin Rivers Animal Hospital - Best friend

I recently had to put my beloved girl down. Thank you to the staff of twin rivers you are amazing and compassionate. Thank you Dr. Chainie for the phone call last night you set my mind and heart at ease and to know how much you loved my girl makes me even more appreciative to all of you.

Zero care here!!! The worst vet I've ever come across and I've seen them all, from cattle to cats…read more I brought my dog here because I called my regular vet that had been closed for unforeseen circumstances and they recommended twin rivers in their absence. I am ashamed I didn't do much research on these degenerates as I was worried and wanted to get my best friend looked at as soon as possible. I had already started my beloved 9 year old boy on antibiotics for an open wound on an enlarged elbow callous and wanted to know if the growth had any other underlying issues... needless to say I left there with no answers, just awaiting the results of an aspirated biopsy and $800+ bill. Four days later the vet called back to tell me the biopsy results showed nothing cancerous and to continue the antibiotics... thanks tips... as my buddy finished the course of antibiotics he showed marked improvement. In about a week I saw him decline very quickly, he wouldn't eat or drink one evening and in the morning started to show symptoms of laboured breathing. I called the twin rivers vet immediately asking for emergency callback (9am on workday). After 2 hours of waiting I found an alternative emergency care clinic and brought him in right away. I had him at Phases' on an IV before lunch and devastating news of fluid around all his major organs with cancer as the most likely cause. After having to carry my listless 100 pound boy into the clinic, seeing him not able to breathe without visible discomfort and realizing I couldn't put him through any more painful surgeries for my benefit of having him around a tiny bit longer I made the heart wrenching decision to let him go to sleep painlessly in my arms (thankful to the veterinarian at Phases for a very emphatic and professional procedure). That mother f@&$ing vet at twin rivers had the gall to callback the next day after 3pm when I was out of the house to ask what I wanted??? He is very lucky I was out because I WANTED to cause him pain... as much pain as I think my poor baby boy went through for over a week because of his absolute incompetence or deliberate negligence to do his job!!! He should quit before someone else who doesn't have as much constraint and family obligations to deter them from getting revenge on this POS! PS. just so everyone knows this was not a money motivated review; I have never had pet insurance before nor have I had such an extensive medical experience with any pet prior to this... my beloved boy had TPLO surgeries on both hind legs in his adolescence and an enucleation by a veterinary ophthalmologist just a year ago. If these are foreign surgeries for some, we are talking $15,000+ I love him dearly and would happily pay to have him here with me today!

After 5 days of waiting to hear from them on a surgery date I finally learned that it wouldn't be for another 2 weeks. Mortified and unwilling to leave my kitty in pain for that long I reached out to this hospital. I got a consult the very next day and Dr. Sandy (who was suppose to leave on vacation the following day) stayed to perform the surgery for my girl!! It may be a longer drive for me, but if either of my fur faces need to see a vet, you can guarantee that I'll be taking them here from now on!! I have observed this owner while he was 'one on one' at his business outside with a smaller breed dog get abusive by pulling on it's leash so hard that the dog was lifted from the ground. This continued several times as I observed from my vehicle. This continued until I could not stand to watch any further.I am a owner of a large breed canine and have for most of my life.I am skilled and educated in the training processes and what I had observed was abuse. It should be noted that this owner has an abusive and unacceptable method of dog training as part of his repertoire from what I observed. Having also observed this owner of this business and his aggressive and dangerous driving habits speeding and cutting in an out of traffic now realize, not only is the owner of this business a liability to to health and safety of animals brought here, but also to the safety of Kamloops motorists. I continue to be disgusted that an individual of such a self absorbed ego remains to continue doing what he does.

I called them a few days after vet exam, left a message to contact me and no one bothered to. Would NEVER recommend and would NEVER go back.
