I needed a new key fob for my car. I tried getting it from a different place and they were a mess - only one person out of the six employees was trained to do it and he was never there. The one time I did get him he could only do the key, not the fob. And the key took him almost an hour! I had an awful experience with AAA Lock & Key. I just moved into a new place where the door had trouble latching. Having called my landlord, they called the locksmith that handled the keying of the doors to help fix it. Well, of course, the day I have them come out, it is warm and the door has no trouble latching. And instead of trying to help me figure out a solution, the locksmith yelled at me like I'm an idiot and tells me there is nothing wrong with it. Thankfully I took a video of the lock not working and wanted to show him what was wrong. He didn't even bother to look at the video and said that nothing was wrong with it right now so he can't help me. Other than making me an extra key, he basically continued to tell me why he can't help me and that it isn't his fault or his problem. He then decided to just walk away and drive off without any further discussion. I then decided to call up the main office because I wanted to speak to a manager and complain about my experience. The woman that answered the phone basically just tells me "thanks for letting me know and I'll pass the message along" and then hung up on me.... Really? This is what you call professionalism or good customer service? I'm sorry but you will never have any of my business and I will never refer you to any of my friends or colleagues. read more

I went to AAA Lock & key today the man in the shop was sitting on a bench looking at a magazine. I told him that I needed the keyed ignition switch to have the tumblers replaced. He said he could make me a new key and that would fix the problem. I told him the car dealer said the key was good but this vehicle is known for the tumblers to ware out and to go to a locksmith to change them. Then the counter person at AAA Lock &key agreed the key was good and he couldn't change the tumblers today I would have to leave the it with him. Then he returned to his magazine. We came here yesterday to have some motorcycle keys duplicated. My hubby was able to get his fuel key remade for his Kawasaki Concourse (we supplied the keys). We came here to see if they were able to clone my key for my Can Am Spyder but, our key was uncloneable. Great service was given. We were able to test the fuel key in the bike and bring it back into the store for tweaks as needed until it was working right. There seemed to be a steady amount of customers coming into the store. These guys are great! I needed a new key and I have a newer vehicle that has a keyless entry and a laser cut key. If I had gone through the dealership the total including tax and shipping for the part and service would have been close to around $500 So I went online. I came to AAA lock and key this afternoon at precisely 2:49 pm. Their listed hours for Saturday's have them closing at 3pm. The "Open" sign was already off, door locked and lights off. I saw two men exit from the side of the building as I was leaving, clearly the workers having clocked off early. The shop on Broadway Blvd did an EXCELLENT job making a new key for me after all my motorcycle keys were lost. They worked for hours on the bike and only charged $25! I have a Toyota Avalon and recently, my car key stopped working (didn't turn at all) on lock on the driver side door. Fortunately, it was working on the passenger side door. I called up AAA lock and key and before I could explain the issue, the person on the other end said it is a common issue with Toyota and Honda and he asked me to come in to get it fixed. I went to their shop and he got a new key made in no time and gave me a quote of $20. The new key was able to open the driver side door, but not lock it. So he said the lock has to be taken out and fixed and that is additional cost of $60. I agreed and he fixed the lock in some time. During the process of taking out the lock, there was a chip in the outer and inner handle. He proposed to replace it or reduce the price for the work. Essentially, he charged me only $30 and gave another duplicate key along with a new one. I was impressed by the quick resolution, honesty, dedication to customer service and the low cost. The key would not go into the lock of my Nissan Versa. I knew I would need to order a part to fix the lock, but had things in the trunk I needed to get out. A gentleman from AAA opened the lock so I could get my things out of the trunk. He advised me to not get the part through the dealer and told me where to look. This saved me a considerable amount of money. He also advised me to come back when I get the part and they can drill it in at a much lower cost than the dealer. He did not charge me for his services. This locksmith is experienced and knows what they are doing. I made the mistake of taking my overly expensive FOB key for my wife's car to a big box home improvement store and after the clerk took my key and "cut" it, he informed it he wasn't sure if he cut it right, and he didn't. I took it to AAA Lock & Key in hopes that they could save the key instead of having to fork out another $45 for another FOB key, and they were able to correct the bad cut and the key is totally usable. read more

My wife tried to call and have someone come out to put in some new hardware, long story short she ended up waiting on hold far too long. She hung up and called back. When she finally got back to her the lady was short, rude, seemed irritated. The day we were waiting for the locksmith to come out it was raining, I thought I'd call in to check where he might be or how far out. I lost my key to my 30 plus year old motorcycle. It was 10 minutes to closing time for them. Everyone else I called could not help that day,maybe the next day they said. Others were closed, some did not answer the phone, ect... So When I called here, the girl I talked to said no problem, bring in the ignition set and they could take care of me. I said I know it is close to closing time, could they possibly wait for me? YES she said! Now I am relieved I finally found someone to help. I asked for a ride from a co worker and we got there a little after closing time, and there she was waiting for me! She smiled, said it will be a few minutes to take the ignition apart or something like that. All I know is that in about 10 - 15 minutes she had 3 keys for me! The best part is that I expected to pay a fortune for this... but she only charged me a very fair amount of $20, which included the 3 keys! You do not get this kind of service anywhere else in town. This company stayed open late on my word I would be there, They did not charge me a fortune even though they knew I was in a bad spot and gave me 2 more keys than I expected! Since they have moved, the older owner is not there and the lady and man there are a disaster in customer service and I went back two times, those two were smoking outside and were not very interested in customer help. And, they could not even program my keys as their computers were down? So, I went to the Dealer and actually paid them less than AAA Lock. I was planning on getting a spare key for our car at their office earlier today since we only have one key. I decided to go another day and crazy enough, tonight we locked the key in the trunk while loading our groceries. I called and John answered. He was so nice and really helped us. His normal tech was unavailable and said his son may be able to help us a few hours later and would get back to us. Just as he said, John called us and let me know his son was able to arrive soon. His son got there first and started working on the car. My son met him and our vehicle was open in less than 5 minutes. We were so grateful, the price was a little less than what John quoted which was amazing but made sure to give him a good tip for being able to help us and so quickly!
