I fixed the snowblower myself, Today, on a follow-up cleanup the belt started smoking. Drove right over to F & F and bought a pully and an auger belt. Impressed that they have stock of all these parts. While there and chatted with Frank. Nice guy. I see they are Husqvarna dealers and Stihl dealers with all sorts of landscape equipment good to know as there will be a spring and then summer coming before you know it. Outside were 40 fixed snowblowers waiting to be picked up. Not sure the issues people have had but hey its incredibly busy. Maybe dont wait until the last minute. All in all, this was a great find for me and saved my ass. I found my place.

Longtime Customer Disappointed by Recent Lack of Price Communication - Snowblower Repair (West…read moreRoxbury) I have been doing business with Needham Garden Center since January 2015. Over the last decade, I have purchased both a lawnmower and a snowblower from them and have consistently trusted them to service my power equipment. Historically, their service has been reliable. Between 2015 and my most recent visit, I've had my snowblower serviced three times, with bills typically averaging between $300 and $344. Prior to this last service, I was quoted around $300, depending on additional parts. However, when I received the call that the work was complete, the total came out to $667. My issue is not with the cost of the repairs themselves--I understand that parts and labor add up. My issue is with the complete breakdown in communication. More than doubling an initial quote without providing a courtesy call to explain the additional work required or to get approval before proceeding is not good customer service, especially for a customer of nearly 10 years. Needham Garden Center does quality work, but I hope they improve their service communication so long-term customers aren't caught off guard by surprise billings.

When we told them that it was backing up into our basement, they said they would let us know if there was a cancellation. I called Smith, and Ashley made things happen. She took my number and called back within 15 minutes, telling me that she could get a truck there sometime today between 11 and 3:30. She went over pricing, and I know they could not have charged me for the 'rush.' When the guy got here, at 11:30!!!!!, he could not have been more nice or professional. We have found our new 'septic professionals.' Update 08/15/2015 We had a problem with our main line, and needed it snaked. Smith could snake from the tank to the foundation, but not past that (I assume due to licensing restrictions, but I didn't ask) and I did not think that would solve our problem. The woman on the phone was both sympathetic and helpful, even suggesting we call another local company!! I took the number for 'the competition,' and thanked her very much. What an amazing company!!

Time from the proposal to install was three days. Treated us like family. John (with 40 years of experience) and PJ, the installers were extremely knowledgeable, addressed any questions I had based on my engineering background and ensured a quality install was of utmost importance. During the installation John identified a failed boiler expansion tank. Rather than making a separate service call, Stephen requested them to travel to a distributor and purchase an expansion tank and install the expansion tank during the water heater tank install along with a relief valve. There is a reason why I have been with Devaney Energy for ~10 years. Thank you Stephen, Mark, John and PJ.
