We have gotten both oil delivery a furnace service through them. Their prices are super competitive. They also deliver usually a day or so after ordering, even though their website says it could be up to 5 days. Service is good too. Our furnace stopped working, we called and they were here the next day. Minus one star because I wanted them to come same day since we were without heat with two kids. This place is not worth the your money. Example 1 they randomly show up to my house and put 679$ worth of oil in my tank and charge me. I call them and say why did I just get charged for this when I didn't order it? "Oh we have you on auto delivery," I state no and they look "I guess you aren't on it,but at least you're okay now with a full tank!" I go no,I didn't call nor do I need it. It's summer time." Then comes the attitude from the female caller telling me "well nothing we can do it's already in your tank yada yada." I ask to speak with supervisor and after 10 mins come to an agreement... 2nd example we order oil , 2 days later nothing came in. I call and lady goes "wait is this an emergency because we have to now charge you more if so" I go no I'm asking why it's taking 2 days to deliver it never takes this long and making sure I'm in the order.."well people usually order to last more than a week or 2." I go how is that your concern I'm making sure I'm in the list. " You are today or tomorrow don't know when." Solid customer service you have MISS!! Then the wife calls on the 3rd day this guy is actually normal and cool and goes yes you're in the system and should be there tomorrow morning. But how did you order via phone or online because phone is faster delivery? That's were we both lost it..We ordered it 3 days ago online and you're saying if we called and placed the order it would have been faster even tho you took our money already? The owner has unprofessional behavior. I got my heat exchange replaced by him and his technician did a wrong connection and I had to get another guy additional $$$ to get it fixed. He did not take responsibility for the mistake and denied it and did not pay me the money. I would not recommend him to anyone. read more

This is the best place to fill your propane tanks. After they carefully inspect the tank (the tank exchanges are often expired tanks) they fill the tank to the top for only $15. Exchanges are often much more, in dangerous tanks, and never filled up. They also have huge bags of ice for your weekend needs. read more

I used Oilman Inc for my propane and for burner service , however I will never use them again because the service technicians leave must to ne desired. Everytime the owner sent over a technician, there was always a callback as my burner failed. I usually get it serviced every July and when the burner kicked in for the first time in September, it failed. Only once did a technician service my burner without needing a callback. When I scheduled a service, the technician never showed up so I called and spoke to the owner who proceeded to yell and scream at me telling me he would never service my burner again because of the multiple callbacks, accusing me of trying to get something for nothing and how dare I request a certain technician to perform the service (I requested the only technician that serviced my burner correctly) He never called me to tell me this and left me waiting for the technician. I was amazed the way the owner was treating me, and before I could remind him that the service was done in July and this is first time the burner fired up, and to also tell him if he had competent technicians, callbacks would be eliminated. The man does not back his work and his treatment to me was deplorable. Shame on him. I have now found a reputable company that services my burner to perfection and backs their work. read more

Update...I was hospitalized during the February blizzard of '15 and my wife reported we needed oil...in the worst of it, they climbed through the maelstrom to deliver enough to see her through the storm until their truck could navigate the roads the next day....God bless them... If you've read any of my other reviews, its easy to see I long for the 'old days'. By that I mean back when businesses knew their customers and really cared about them. Anthony is one of those kind of guys. He takes his business and his customers seriously. He knows and appreciates every single customer. Many many years ago I would shop nearly every fill up thinking I was being financially prudent. What a dope I was. If you spend an hour, you might see a dime's difference between 2 oil dealers... so you have them deliver their 150 gallons and what have you saved ???? 15 bucks. What did you loose ??? Loyalty. Years ago I found myself empty on a cold winter's day and called the plumber who serviced my boiler. He dropped 5 gallons in the tank and bled/primed the system and charged me 100 bucks for the service. OK, my fault, my foul. A year later, I let it go dry again... Stupid me - that's the risk you take as a COD customer.If you forget to take frequent peeks at the gauge, you run the risk of having no heat, and since my boiler heats my water too, no hot showers. Want to make your wife happy ??? Run out of hot water... So, I opened up the phone book and saw a new dealer around the corner (actually he had been there years before, sold the business then bought it back changing the name in the process) so I called him. Now imagine its Sunday, in February, and this gentleman gets an 'out-of-oil-wife's-bout -to-castrate-me' call seeking his help. He don't know me from Adam. Would you believe he came out, resolved the problem and wouldn't take a dime. WOW. I mean WOW ! It's been at least 10 years, and I've never even thought of cheating on these guys. I use them exclusively for my oil, for my boiler upkeep, and AC service. Can't imagine being any happier with anyone else. What made me write them up today was their saving my butt yet again. Went down stairs to look at something and noticed the gauge was bottomed out... OH BOY, I'm a dead man. Called them up and though his trucks were all out already, he promised to send someone out with 5 gallons to cover me till he could fill it up. WOW. Who does that anymore... I'll tell you who, Anthony, THE Oilman. If you live in the area around Foxborough, there's no reason you want to get your heating oil from anyone else. On Monday July 23rd the oilman truck was backing into my driveway. It hit my home and pulled the power meter off my home. It did some damage to my home also. Anothny the owner and his office manager came right over to my house. The first thing they did was apologize for what happened. The next thing they said don't worry we are going to take care of this. Can I say these guys are great! They did just that. Anothny had an electrician at my home in a matter of hours and his insurance company also called me a few minutes after that. He called me at least two dozen times making sure that we were alright and if there was anything he could do. So please don't believe the bad reviews because these people went above and beyond to make sure we were ok. I am speechless of how great they handled the whole situation. Thank you Anthony and you entire staff for all you have done for us it really means a lot! Just take a look at he pictures and by the end of the day it was fixed and the power was back on. read more

Horribly downhill. I used to use Tony all the time, he has even been to my house, and then he got expensive so I went elsewhere. Just the nature of business. I continued to buy propane from him for years after. Tried to try him again this past week. On Tuesday I was told they would deliver Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Come Saturday afternoon, no delivery. I called and obviously got the answering service. His niece did call me back that evening and told me 'We have 3 trucks scheduled for Sunday with two guys on each truck, you will definitely be on the list. Sunday comes and goes, no delivery. Monday I arrive home at 1:30 PM, still no delivery, and now I am below 1/8 tank. Since they are right down the street, I go to the office, walk in, and in a laughing way say to his niece "You are killing me here, where is my oil?" In a very rude way, she tells me to stop yelling at her and begins to yell at me saying she makes no promises to anyone, we are busy, blah, blah, blah, blah, and asks me to leave, and has some fat guy escort me to the door. Tony calls me 15 minutes later and tells me my order has been cancelled, and I should never set foot in his yard again. Don't trust anything they say. Had they been honest, I could have made other arrangements before the situation got so dire. Called to ask for fuel and was refused service since my driveway is a small hill and "gives them a problem every time they come here" I made one call to Star and they took a drive by to see what the Oilman's issue was called me back and I was fueled up less than an hour later. It cost me a few dollars more but I wasn't turned away like I was with Oilman Inc. I will never do business with Oilman Inc again and will make sure my friends, family, and coworkers know that I was declined and they should decline future service with the Oilman too. read more

I saw someone else saying they were charged a $65 fee for under 100 gallons- this is standard practice with oil delivery companies. I place an order for 100 gallons of oil in the middle of January. $378 pre authorized, he said his dieleivery guy was in the neighborhood and he could come buy to make the delivery becuase he needed to make up for lost business due to a snow storm the week prior. Well because my oil tank would not take the full 100 he charged me a $65 delivery charge! I contacted the better business burea and he lied and told them there min delivery is 150 gallons, I sent them proof that he accepted 100 gallons preapproval of $378. I then contacted consumer affairs for the south shore and he lied and told them that I was not in his area and that he did me a favor. If I wasnt in his area, why did he agree to deleivery the 100 gallons??!?!!? MONEY HUNGRY. So this is why you should NOT do business with a liar, a cheat and a THIEF! I called around for 2 days and companies either wouldn't talk to me because I'm a renter and not a long-term home owner, so I don't "need" full-service. But I moved into an apartment with an empty tank so it needed to be primed which many non-full service companies either won't do or charge around $100. I called Oilman at 9:30 am and by 11:00am there was oil in my tank, filled to the top. And best part was they were the cheapest option with a 3 cents off per gallon discount and their priming only cost $45. I couldn't have asked for better service. read more

I have used this company for the last 4 months for my oil deliveries and a burner tune up. Every single time I have used them I have been impressed with the quality of their customer service. Their oil prices are the best in the area. On one occasion I called and needed a delivery that day, because I called early in the day they didn't charge me the obligatory "emergency delivery" fee that other companies charge. Their online oil delivery request system is awesome and the service was really prompt. A few weeks ago one of their servicemen came to service my burner and he uncovered a problem with one of my pipelines that was limiting the amount of forced hot water getting to my living room. This has been a huge issue for a number of years and was really frustrating as other companies haven't been able to fix the problem. Well this company did and now my living room is toasty.
