After running some errands in the Perimeter Loop Plaza, my car was unfortunately not starting...There were clicking noises when attempting to turn the car on so the battery seemed the obvious culprit. I initially called roadside assistance, however, there would be a multi-hour wait. As fate would have it, AAA Car Care Plus was located within walking distance of where I parked the car. We have taken multiple cars to this location for oil changes, tire rotations and new batteries etc and have always had amazing and quick service. This last time was the same great experience, but their attention to details and communication with us as they tested everything to determine why we were getting a certain message on our dash was outstanding. My car was giving me 2 diagnostic messages sporadically for 2 weeks - low battery and no oil pressure. I took my car in anticipating I would need a new battery and a little oil. They advised that it was an alternator and I should take the car to the dealer for that service. As for the oil, lets just say I was several quarts low, and it has not been that long since the dealer did the oil change. They filled the oil and did not even charge a diagnostic fee. I can't take my car to the dealer without there being a $100 charge just to put in on the lift. Everyone was so pleasant to deal with. Customer service makes a difference! read more

Unprofessional. Disrespectful. Time wasters. Lousy service since AAA took over this shop. Recently dropped off my truck the evening before. So they had it for nearly 24 hours. Went to pick it up at the time mgr said it would be ready the following day ... it was not ready, they had not even moved it from where I'd parked it the day before. But was told; "Well, I wasn't the one who took it in yesterday!" Wtf does that have to do with anything? You had it for 24 hours. I made an appointment. It was a simple job. Last straw. Took my car in to fix the cooler lines on my leaking transmissions. They gave me a estimate that was half of another shop I took my car into. I got a call a few hours after dropping my car off letting me know the root of my issues weren't actually my cooler lines, and instead was a much cheaper and simpler fix. They were very honest and gave an extremely fair price, when they could have just gone with the more expensive estimate they provided on the phone and I never would've know. Won't be back. We've taken our cars here multiple times, as we are AAA members. Always had positive experiences until this week. We received a coupon in the mail to visit the shop again. This past visit, I brought my husbands car in for an oil change and to have tires looked at. When I went to check out I was given a total for the services. I handed one of the man at the counter the coupon, and immediately he became condescending. He then fixed the total (said he wouldn't have charged me for the tire had I not given him the coupon) , it rang up more expensive (?!?!) and proceeded to chuckle, saying I shouldn't have used the coupon. I paid in cash, he gave the change, and made another comment about the payment. There was no reason that I should have felt uncomfortable or that I was doing something wrong using the coupon we were sent to come back. I never asked to not be charged or for non correct change. Next time going to a shop that shows more respect. read more

Customers are not responsible for the manager not writing the appointment down and customers are not responsible for your short staffed, and definitely don't deserve your bad attitude, can't believe AAA has an auto shop runs by bad attitude manager Scott Fogle. I recently took my vehicle here after I broke down on my way to work and it was near my office and I'm a AAA member so I figured this would be my best bet. The guys were very friendly and helpful, I will give them that, but I feel that they attempted to rip me off. They wanted to charge me $800 for work that I knew my regular mechanic had done in the past 6 months. I thought that was ridiculous compared to what my mechanic had charged me, and knew that would be under warranty by my mechanic. I had it towed to him and he fixed what was actually wrong, which wasn't what they had said, for $200. Overall I expected better from AAA, and if you don't know a lot about cars, I would beware. read more

Run.....run far and fast. I recently heard a little brake noise coming from the front tire of my Cadillac. I called AAA in Dublin based on their reviews. That was my first mistake. I spoke with the manger and told him what was going on, and a rough estimate for a brake job. "437.00" was the response. 437.00 for what....per wheel? per axle? he says "437 all the way around" Sounding like a good deal, i booked my appointment. I then called the next day to confirm my appointment, and ask again about the quote. "437.00 all the way around"........ I drop my car off, get a call 90 minutes later telling me my rear brakes are bad and the front brakes are fine. I ask if they looked at the front brakes (which i came in for). The gentleman sets the phone down to "get the manager" leaving it off mute, so that i heard them shit talking me in the background. The manager comes on the phone and is clearly upset that he has been called on his bullshit.... at which point he becomes verbally abusive telling me " i'll throw your damn tires on and you can come get your car" When I show up, my keys are sitting on the customer side of the counter. One gentleman pointed to my keys.....one wouldnt look up. Clearly this is the type of place that you should spend your hard earned money. Well, to this day, it still doesn't work after paying them over $1500.00. It only worked off and on. It should have been fixed properly after all my time and money spent. I'll try to keep a long story short. My car was towed to AAA Car Care Plus in Dublin by Elite Auto Services, LLC out of Pataskala. The Elite tow truck driver insisted my car be transported to Dublin, even though I told him several times I wanted to go to Aarow Radiator in Hilliard. My bill was $350 more at AAA Dublin than it would have been at Aarow. After one year of run-around by AAA, I called Elite. The Elite Auto Services representative told me directly on the phone that Elite drivers are instructed by AAA to "strong insist" to the customer they take cars to an AAA facility. Elite actually told me on the phone to make an on-line post about AAA Car Care Plus Dublin overcharging for work. Let me repeat: Elite actually works with AAA to tow cars, and is saying to post on-line about AAA Car Care Plus Dublin overcharging. You tell me how bad AAA Car Care Plus Dublin must be to have their own business partners trashing them. I recently got my car repaired at this location. Matt the manager was friendly, knowledgeable and caring . He clearly explained what my car needed and how much it was going to cost. I felt very comfortable with the care my Van received. After I picked up my car Mike told me if I had any issues. I accidentally dialed the shops number and disconnected when I discovered my error. Our car had a problem with a single tire losing air. We brought it in and they recommended all new tires. We agreed. 2 months later, we had the same problem with the same tire. They filled it and sent us on our way.... every 2-3 months for a year. We finally took it elsewhere and they determined that when the tires were put on, AAA didn't seal the valve correctly. We took it back to AAA and they charged us for a new valve. Edit: I am editing this post because we ended taking it back again for the same issue on the other 3 tires we bought from them. This time we got someone who really knew what he was talking about and explained that the issue was with the car, not the tire. He fixed our issue for free with a couple rubber valves. It was definitely an improvement over the last person we worked with there. So I'm going up a star because if you get the right person, this is a great place to go! read more

Great experience. I have a '99 BMW M3 95,000 miles that required a lot of service. Leaking power steering, oil leaks-needed new valve cover gasket, oil line, oil filter gasket, needed spark plugs, ac and serpentine belts, and a variety of service. I wanted a leak free car. BMW dealer would have charged Me a small fortune. But I did require a trustworthy place with knowledgeable mechanics. What I got was a leak free car, great customer service (Shane Lape) and a really knowledgeable mechanic (Mark). They clearly explained with great patience what I needed and why. No pressure to get any service I didn't need. When I picked up the car they showed me what was done and possibly things to keep an eye on. When I left my M3 was running better than ever! They didn't test drive a SUV with reported front drive noise issues and replaced a working wheel hub without telling me the hub was fine. When the noise was still present I spoke with the mechanic who thought I was called when he found that there was no need to replace the part. I was never told this as I wouldn't replace a part that wasn't broke. I was called with a quote and that was all. read more

Upon inspection they found that the sidewall was destroyed. They drove my friend to her office and replaced the rire at a reasonable cost. I am very satisfied with their service. read more

I went there one morning after my 2011 Chevy Cruz broke down on the side of the freeway during morning rush hour. I had my vehicle towed to this location. I was able to get my car back within 36 hours and for just over $1000.00. They supposedly fixed a coolant leak and an oil leak. And told me no other issues existed other than replacing my tires (which I did shortly after) 12 days later my check engine light came on and my vehicle began seeping white smoke from the hood. A diagnostic code showed a coolant problem. I took the car back only to be told that I had to wait 3 days for them to even run a diagnosis on my car and they told me the vehicle was drivable at that time. I just had a gut feeling, so instead of waiting and taking my car back there, I took my car to my trusted mechanic (a family member) and it turns out the people who worked on my car before BROKE a spout like thing that connects a hose to the coolant tank. Instead of replacing the $24.99 coolant tank, it looks like they just tried to GLUE ON THE HOSE to the broken tank which came undone. Several other things ended up being cracked from their hack job and oil was splattering all over my engine because instead of replacing the seal on the oil cap they just tried to tighten it. Just take your vehicle somewhere else to prevent further headaches and car complications. read more

Great service here. Didn't know any mechanics in the area and my car was making a noise. They told me what services I should get now, and what could honestly wait. They let me drop my car off before work, and pick it up after. Noise is gone, and I got out of there cheaper than I thought possible. I don't review on here often, but I wanted to share my positive experience. With a AAA membership there's a nice discount on labor too. I'm hoping not to need additional service for awhile, but I'd recommend this shop to others. read more

I've had two experiences with this facility; both were very positive. The first was the purchase of a new set of 2 tires (rather unexpectedly as I picked up a large screw and one tire was rendered unrepairable). Shane found me a decent replacement, at an unbeatable price (b/c I looked afterward) and got me in the very next day. He also was very honest and informed me that b/c my car has two different sizes of tires (back and front), I really didn't need to buy a complete set if I didn't want to. Several weeks later, I picked up another nail in a different vehicle. (I clearly need to re-evaluate the roads I take to get to work!). Even though the 2nd vehicle's tires were still factory and in great condition, they fixed the tire and waived the nominal repair charge. It's these types of unexpected experiences that leave a lasting impression, and really speaks to their level of customer service. I will definitely be back! read more
