Costco had this as one of two locations to check my car alignment. Their tire techs said my alignment had to be fixed for their warranty to be included on the tires. Came here, in and out in 15 minutes with the verification that it wasn't needed. No hassle, no fuss, no issues. Love it! read more

Incorrectly charged tax during the tax holiday. Tried to point it out and have refunded. Given misinformed excuses and argued with. Ignorant of the tax laws, they did not bother to verify that the customer might have been correct, just continued to reject attempts to explain. I was sent an email from a competing garage advertising they could provide services tax free. Since I needed work done on one of our cars, I took it to AAA Powell location, where I have been a loyal customer for years. Not the competitor that was smart enough to try to capitalize on the sales tax holiday. I wished I had gone to the competitior. I will from now on. What I still can not understand is why they argued with me so vigorously over something that wasn't coming out of their own pocket. I will do their job for them and file the form to get my refund from the State. Maybe they can use the $48 they got over not refunding to spend towards trying to attract a new customer. Keeping a loyal one would have been a lot easier. read more

Called when they were super busy. They were able to fit my car in to diagnose a leak. As it turns out I also had a very bad tire. Thank God they noticed the inside tire shred. My car was delivered totally repaired for what was quoted. It is much safer and drives much better. Very grateful for the time and genuine concern from Matt the Service Manager. The buggy needed an oil change and tire rotation and I wasn't feeling going all the way over to Polaris to get it done where I bought my tires so I rolled into here seeings how it looked not so busy. Was told they were short handed and taking appointments so I made one and came back two days later. Had my coupon and my AAA card so there was some discounting there (hurrah!) but I was in and out and on my way in about 20 minutes! I was given an out the door price for Four new tires and then received a phone call that I needed an alignment. Torrey (the manager) said if I did not get the alignment that my warranty would be void, after he had already put the tires on. Then when I went in to pick the car up he got all snotty and said if I had bought tires before I should know about the alignment clause. I was given a price of $9.99 for road hazard warranty yet when I got the final bill it had jumped to 22.68 per tire. read more

I'm new to the area and decided to give these guys a call. I was having a power steering issue. (Steering gear was binding) Their price was very fair and service was done as quickly as possible. I've used them both before and after change from Bob Summerel to AAA, and have taken all three of our vehicles (two Acuras and a VW GTI) there for various reasons, and have always been pleased by their professionalism, quality of work and their prices are reasonable. Last year, the rear latch on my MDX was stuck, and I couldn't open the back. Was headed out on vacation that day with the family, and I swung by unannounced to see of they could look at it. Three guys came out, tore the hatch latch cover off, fixed the problem in 2 minutes....no charge. That's the kind of behavior that breeds loyal customers, which I am. If money is no object, then this is the place for you. I had a complete brake job done and am very happy. It seemed expensive, but I pulled the trigger for convenience. They also provided quotes not requested, as they thought the work was needed. Even though it's a sales job, I like the approach. I was shopping for new tires for my wife's car and received a quote for $1,150. Discount Tire did the job for $800. That's a 43% hike. Wow! I really like the people there, but I will never waste my time there again. read more

Very positive experience there today. Took my van in to get an oil change and tires rotated and was treated very nicely- like family. We even got into a discussion about iPhone apps for the grocery store- not something I'd expect from a bunch of car guys! They were very friendly, professional, and down-to-earth. I wasn't overly impressed getting greeted with a "chip on his shoulders" Russ. Not the best guy to greet customers... asked to get an estimate on replacing my brake lines. Russ says oh we can't do that now you have to schedule an appointment. The place wasn't even busy... So I did. Came back for my appointment but now I find there is a change for an estimate. Manager Russ failed to tell me that part when scheduling the appointment. Needless to say I left and went over to Midas and they gave me a free quote. Maybe my first clue was when I took my vehicle in a couple months earlier for an oil change and when I got home I checked oil level and discovered they shorted me a quart. They did address that but just the inconvenience of it all, I want to trust the professionals but I can't. I tried to give them a second chance but sorry not ever again. read more

Experiencing rattling at idle on my 2008 Honda CRV. Turned out the heat shield on the catalytic converter was rusting away. AAA got my car on the lift and completed the repair in minutes. Yes, this is a great place to get maintenance on your vehicle-finally a place I can go without feeling like I am hearing a sales pitch to spend more money on worthless additions I don't need. The manager is wonderful- friendly and efficient. The employee that serviced my car was, I don't know how to put it besides adorable. He was concerned that my headlight was so foggy that I wouldn't be able to see at night. He printed off, in color, a replacement he found on eBay for 1/4 of the price that scion would charge me. He also offered to install it for free. Now, I probably won't buy this because my car is getting to the age where that doesn't warrant me spending money, but the thought was much appreciated. I'll keep going here even if Midas has 19.99 oil changes right down the street. read more

The bolts in the caliper on my rear passenger side had worked loose after some "service" that I had gotten at another shop. I had my car towed to this service center the night before they worked on it. I received a call almost an hour after they opened, telling me they had gotten my car in and repaired it, explaining what needed to be done. Upon arrival, I was given pictures of what had happened and they did not bill me! I can't even begin to state how thankful I am for the work that was done here, how quickly they got it done, and how thankful I am to have them take care of the bill for me!
