Since moving to PA almost 2 years ago we have been purchasing from many different retailers and have now officially settled on only shopping with Stoltzfus Feed & Supply. They are incredibly helpful and friendly no matter how you are shopping and I only mention this in particular because we have all had to adapt to new things during this time (Covid-19 pandemic). We are adding a new pup to our family this week and needed to get food for her. I was able to seamlessly call in a pick up order for contactless pick up from them. It ended up being the wrong food and they made the exchange process so seamless (they even delivered the new food to our home!!!) that they have now earned a FOREVER customer. I highly recommend!

They are even willing to treat our cat from hell! Most recently, what was seemingly a small issue with my service dog turned out to be a potentially life-threatening problem which would have never been uncovered and treated were it not for Dr Harclerode's tenacity and diagnostic prowess. The noise level was extremely loud and that made choice seating extremely limited. But they did a stellar job of seating us as best they could and it was appreciated. The food on the other hand was disappointing. I asked if the fried oysters were pan fried or beaded. By sight one could see they were not pan fried. In fact we sent them back twice only to learn that they were breaded and gave the appearance of a rather large portion of fried chicken. As the crowd got even larger we had them boxed and left. The oysters were at best marginal and the breading was overpowering. Having eaten there several times over the years and never disappointed. Just chalked up to a beautiful weather evening a good bunch of musicians and close to school end.

The last grooming experience, she attempted to express my pups' anal glands but stopped before fully expressing, stating she felt she was hurting him; we ended up having to take him to the vet afterwards. This was a service she offered, not one I requested, free of charge. Our pup came back in with "choppy" looking fur. In addition, she was unable to clip or dremel his nails but still charged full price for each of his services. Understanding he can be anxious during grooming, which was discussed with her prior to scheduling, she followed-up with a very detailed text afterwards giving me an ESTIMATE (she typed in capitals) for our next appointment that could be changed after his appointment based on his behavior. If she was uncomfortable or unable to perform the services she was offering, I would have preferred she declined grooming our pup. I felt this could have been handled in a more professional manner. Not all pups are calm when being groomed.

Sadie's Doodles was recommended, so I went to the website, daily. I fell in love with so many dogs, but when we were ready to pick one out, we went to Sadie's house. Sadie's Doodles all come with a health guarantee. She took care of the initial shots. The price is very reasonable, and Sadie was a joy to work with. She always returned texts, answered calls. We've had our Rosco a little over a year now. He is a very healthy, loving, and beautiful member of our family. He learned very quickly pretty much everything we taught him. Sadie was awesome to communicate with, responsive, informative, and accommodating. I drove up from DC and planned to arrive around 5 pm, however traffic was atrocious and what should have taken 2.5 hrs took almost 5. This was my first dog, so I was already nervous -- compounded by the fact that I got there so late at night and felt horrible, but Sadie was extremely patient, understanding, and made me feel at ease. She brought my furbaby, an F1 Moyen Goldendoodle, out of the house and set him in a little playpen while she got everything ready. She walked me through everything, showed me his vaccination records, used a chip scanner to show me exactly where he was chipped and allow me to verify the chip number. She gave me a gallon size ziploc bag of food and texted me the exact food it was so I could read about it and order more. She gave me a bag with a leash, collar, little blankie w/ his mom's scent, food, and a bully stick, which are his favorite! She answered all of my questions about him, his parents, the littler size, his siblings, and on and on, and was patient with me while asked them, despite it being so late. Before I even got back to DC, I already had an e-mail transferring his chip number to me so I can login and update all my info, an e-mail for an online K9 training course, and a link to the website where I could order his ICA registration certificate (yes, I know it's not AKC. Yes, I know it doesn't verify lineage. But I didn't pay anything and I got a certificate, with a foil seal, which looks VERY official and cool, and I dig it - novelty or not!) :) As far as the dog ... seriously... he is AMAZING!! He has the sweetest temperament, is very calm, was well socialized before I even got him home. He is SO smart and super chill for a puppy. He was clean and brushed nice, he doesn't fear things like the brush or his leash or anything. You can tell he was taken great care of before I picked him up. I DID see the reviews about someone's pup unfortunately getting giardia- which is a real bummer, so I was sure to tell the vet at his first appointment that I wanted him tested. He didn't have any symptom and his stool was never a problem, but I figured if she was going to get a sample, she might as well do it now and check for it. Everything came back clean - and the vet said he was in excellent shape. Everything happens for a reason... I found Saidie's Doodles after a pup from another breeder fell through at the last minute after waiting for 7 months... and it turned out to be the BEST thing that ever happened! I got SO lucky w/ my pup. He's seriously the greatest.
