I brought in my vehicle for a diagnostic for hard start and rough idle. Literally two months later,…read moreafter a number of calls/texts, they completed it telling me it would cost $3500. When I stated I was taking it elsewhere, they charged me over $400.00. I towed the vehicle to a 2nd place that was able to diagnose in less than an hour and I had to beg the mechanic to take money for his time. If you need a timely, honest repair, I would go elsewhere.

All I have to say is these folks are great! Passing through ABQ from AZ to CO for the weekend and…read moremy 2000 Ford Powerstroke died on the off ramp to 66 Casino. Of course it was on a Saturday no less. The gal who answered was so nice. She got their tow truck operator dispatched and told me they had no problem holding my vehicle, etc. Marcos, their tow truck operator, got there fairly quick and delivered my truck to their lot. He was super nice and efficient. I asked them to run a diagnostic if needed and let me know what the estimated repairs would be. I would have to figure out how to get back to ABQ from AZ, etc. My wife called them on Tuesday (I was up to my rear in alligators at work). Their initial find was a frayed PCM cable (truck has +255k miles). Wednesday, the gal called to give me the prognosis and estimated cost. I gave them the nod to proceed. She left a message later in the day to say my truck was ready (still swimming with those gators). My personal issue was getting to their shop to pay them and pick my truck up. They were pretty cool about how long it would take me to get that done. Yes, I highly recommend Aiden's Diesel & Auto if you need work done on your diesel pickup.

The Firestone located on Coors near I-40 has a rude and unprofessional manager named Renee…read more When I took my vehicle in to get an alignment, the technician broke my oil dipstick and pulled a PVC hose. They replaced the dipstick at their cost however I did not notice the hose that was pulled until my wife mentioned that the car was running rough. They were not able to align my vehicle within specifications. I replaced lower control arms and took it back in under warranty to get it realigned. I had an appointment at 10:00 AM. That's when I met Renee the rude unprofessional manager. She told me that an appointment doesn't mean my vehicle will be serviced at that time. I was told that it probably won't be serviced until the end of the day because she only had two techs.. She was unable to find my wife's name or phone number or the appointment we had a month prior. She said that because I didn't have a receipt she was unable to look it up. I told her they didn't give us a receipt they only gave us a specification sheet indicating what was aligned I asked if they emailed the receipts she said yes I then asked could she look it up via email. She got snarky with me and said I can only look it up with your phone number or receipt number. Kept asking me why I was there and I told her to get the vehicle realigned and I then told her that they damaged the tie rods the first time they did the alignment. The boots were torn and the tie rods were over torqued. She then ask me if I was implying that the technicians don't know what they're doing, to which I responded exactly, they don't know what they're doing they tore my boots and over torqued the tie rods. These were brand new tie rods a month old. Renee then told me I don't know what I'm talking about, the tie rods don't use grease or have boots. I told her that at minimum she's they're going to replace the boots that they're cost and possibly the tie rod on the driver side because of being over torqued. She eventually told me they are not replacing anything. She then said that I was not smart for bringing it back to a shop that broke the car in the first place. That if it were her she wouldI have taken it to another shop. I told her you broke it you fix it. I also told her that the last time I was in there they broke the dipstick during a pre inspection and at that point she lost it and told me to get out get out of the shop that she was refusing service and then she was going to call the police on me. Do not go to the Coors and I-40 location Firestone.

I've been coming to this Firestone for many years. Yesterday I had an appointment for a tire…read morerepair. They got me in right away, and I was out within 2 hours. It took longer because I needed a new tire and the one I needed was at a different location. A Firestone driver brought the tire so we had to wait. No problem. They were able to use my tire warranty to get a discount for the new tire. The customer waiting area does need to be updated. Chairs are kind of grungy.

Came back to update my review after having a nearly identical set of circumstances with totally…read moredifferent outcome. Went into a different shop when check engine came on - now at the end of our cross country trip I'm in CO - asked if the shop could quickly check the code for me. The mechanic kind of begrudgingly did, but he did it quickly and then honestly told me what the issue was, reset the code and sent me on my way. $0 dollars. Old town automotive should be avoided at all costs. Not trustworthy. I asked them if they could quickly check the code. She told me how much a full diagnostic was ($200) I should have left then. After the "full diagnostic" When I asked if they would charge me a "partial diagnostic" she said no. I asked for the Yelp check in discount $10 or $20 maybe? no. AAA discount ? No. After asking if the was anything she could do to help me out she finally caved and gave me the aaa discount because she "doesn't even subscribe to Yelp and can't understand them on the phone half the time." I don't know if it's worth noting... THE ONLY REASON I WAS THERE WAS BECAUSE OF YELP, It was 10 or $20 discount and they were already ripping me off... I regret letting my anxiety get the better of me at the start of the trip. This situation was easily avoidable. I should have just left. Still waiting for that full diagnosis btw. Boo this garage.
