I used to have a short drive to Precision Hearing, and now it's about double the time to get there, but I still go! The office is right off exit 53 of the Merritt Parkway. We share about our lives at the end of the visit, so I look forward to being with him. The office is nice and the staff reflects that 'personal touch', that competent friendliness that is David. In October 20322 my wife and I purchased expensive hearing aids. The contract on page 3 stated, "... After the trial period a member is allowed up to 3 visits within the first year ... at no cost. ". We were told that this allowed us 3 free visits to tune up the hearing aids. In May of 2023 my wife and I want to have the hearing aids adjusted and checked. At the visit we were told there would be a charge. When we objected the audiologist stated that the phrase "visits within the first year" applied to Dec 31, 2022, the end of the calendar year of the purchase and not 12 months from transaction date. We then called the salesperson who did not call us back. According to Collins dictionary, Law Insider and other sources, the definition of this phrase "Within one year as used herein means the year preceding the date of occurrence of this transaction. The definition of year is "a period of 365 or 366 days." Based on their reaction I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for hearing aids. There are cheaper places where the service cannot be any worse than the Hearing Balance & Speech Center. Bruce P

Meanwhile, I have spent hours on the phone with Aetna, who has also contacted this office multiple times trying to resolve the issue. Despite all of this, we are still stuck waiting on reimbursement and clear answers. This has been an absolute nightmare, especially when dealing with something as important as a child's hearing and such a large amount of money. I would never return to this practice and strongly caution others to get everything in writing and think carefully before paying a large sum of money upfront.
