The warranty expiration date on my sales receipt was 7/1/26. I began to have problems with the hearing aides in early 2026 and brought them into the doctors office several times for adjustments. Unfortunately they had new audiologists that wasn't familiar with my situation. I saw Dr. Astrachan on June 15, 2026 and he agreed that we needed to send the aides back to the manufacturer for adjustment, but I needed to make an appointment with his new audiologist to get fitted with a loaner pair, she couldn't see until 7/16/26, I told Dr Astrachan that I was concerned about the warranty and he said not worry because you were here on June 15th. Well on July 16th the audiologist said they called the manufacturer and they wouldn't honor the warranty, So I'm out 5,700.00 and need a new pair of hearing aides !!!

However I called back and they said that they were going to call a mediation to my pharmacy. I go the pharmacy and nothing was called so naturally I called them back. Some rude assistant picked up trying to rush me off the phone and she said they never called the prescription because the dr wanted to talk to me. I said I wished you called to let me know. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. Someone called me from the office and without asking me what happened stating that I am being rude to the staff. I laughed because at this point it was funny. I recently started a new job and had to reschedule maybe 2 visits, I am also being followed by the Antenatal testing unit because I am high risk and 26 weeks pregnant with Type 1 Diabetes. I had an appointment with him and he started the visit by being extremely rude and harsh towards me. He did not address my concerns that were brought up to the nurse before he entered the room and by the end of the visit I was in tears because he dismissed the fact I had complex PTSD and anxiety and said what kind of PTSD as if it was no big deal. I told him I felt uncomfortable driving to Bridgeport hospital to have an ultrasound for a previous appointment. He then proceeded to tell me maybe I should switch hospitals to Griffin or St. Vincents. Griffin Hospital does not have the knowledge to treat high risk pregnancies that have Type 1 diabetes only Yale does. When you call the office they always sound like they do not want to be at work and do not want to help you at all. I have followed what the care team has advised me but making every appointment is sometimes impossible when you have 3 children and 1 that has a disability along with working full time. Please think about your decision to see this provider especially if you want to feel cared for during your pregnancy.
