A lot of people buy their iPhones here as they're often a bit cheaper than other stores. You can't go on a plan though but if you're going to buy the phone outright this is the place to go. The cameras there are great too. Again the same product for a whole lot cheaper. The staff are super friendly which makes such a difference too.

They kept in constant contact with me throughout the process. They were even able to get my MacBook Pro back to me earlier than expected. Their staff was courteous and professional. Whenever I'm in JB Hi-Fi they seem to have some really good specials. I purchased some Sennheiser headphones there which have served me well. They have all the headphones out on display so you can listen to music on them before you buy. I keep seeing a lovely pair in there, which are brown, gold and amazing, but my budget didn't quite stretch to them at the time (sadly). I received a call later in the week telling me that the necessary repair was going to cost more than I originally paid for the laptop, and decided not to proceed. I was then informed of a $100 assessment fee. When I contested this the staff member said that he would check some things and get back to me. He never did. Today I went to pick up my non-functioning computer and to speak with a manager. During the course of our conversation he constantly interrupted me, talked down to me, and refused to answer when I asked why he thought this was acceptable customer service. He also came across very much as though he was trying to intimidate me. When I stood my ground he changed from telling me that I must have misunderstood/the staff member must have misspoken to telling me that she had never said anything that could be interpreted as me being able to expect not to be charged and that I was lying. Additionally, he told me that having to wait to speak with him was my own fault when I expressed dissatisfaction at how long it had taken. I'm very unimpressed with the lack of consistency and professionalism.

PB Technologies is always a good option for reasonably cheap computer products. You can buy…read moreseparate computer parts from these guys, or fully made up computers that they make themselves. Or you can even custom build your own computer by selecting the individual parts that you want in it, and seeing if they are compatible. If so, then the PB tech guys will probably put it together for you, for a fee of course. It certainly can be a lot cheaper to buy a new computer from these guys instead of some of the other electronic stores around. Not only that, but these guys will also repair or upgrade your computer if you bring it in to them. They are generally pretty friendly people who know what they are talking about; yep, they are serious computer nerds.

In this case I'm not sure if its a good thing that I've never experienced buyer's remorse after making a purchase here, as it explains why I keep coming back. There's something at JB Hi-Fi for everyone from games to computer programs to movies, and all at great retail prices too. Now and then they also have one-off sales where everything in-store is cost price + GST- so always good to keep your ears pinned for that one. It's not the biggest JB Hi-Fi branch but I know my way around. The staff here are quite reliable and the last time I went looking for an HDMI cable, the guy there told me about every single one they had, including the advantages and disadvantages. You don't get a lot of great service in retail these days so I take what I can get, and I was very impressed. Even the security at the store here always make a note to say hello and goodbye to all the customers- a little recognition goes a long way.

The thing I like most about this store is they have a really good second hand section with lots of refurbished camera's and accessories for around 1/3rd of their original cost. I bought my 5D body second hand from here and it has lasted me so well with no issues yet! But even if there was an issue I wouldn't be worried as the staff here have excellent contacts and ideas when it comes to fixing Canon products. The staff are so great, they really know what they are talking about, I could chat with them for ages about new products and old faithful ones and everything in-between. They stock the two main brands here, Canon and Nikon as well as an excellent range of after market accessories that are top quality and work well with both brands.

Instructed I wouldn't lose any data, I was told to come back two hours later. When I did return, my phone was ready and I was told the repair came with a three month warranty. I was impressed with Duct Tape - I found the convenience and speed of the repair outweighed any potential savings from other outlets. I would revisit Duct Tape again, if the need arose. They also stocked a wide range of high quality iPad, and iPhone cases and accessories (eg Marc Jacobs, leather / felt cases from Sweden etc).

The other half you could find new in another appliance store at the same price, if you shopped around. This may not always be true but none of the staff spoke to or acknowledged me to disprove this fact. Perhaps their garish yellow uniforms had caused some sort of irreparable blindness or corneal damage. Two staff members obliviously strolled past while another popped bubble wrap 5 meters from where I puzzled over my purchase. Because I was using the company card, I offered the bubble-popper a chance to up-sell me, taking the cheapest product and the one I was considering to the counter and asking what the difference was. And here again I would like to mention the uniforms. Perhaps it was supposed I had also suffered some sort of temporal blindness from the bright yellow shirts because the staff member obtusely replied "They're different brands". It carried on from there in this manner for some time before I gave up but lets just say that I'm glad I wasn't looking for any helpful service or an appliance bigger than a desk phone.
