Anyone who owns a motorcycle knows it's hard to find a good motorcycle mechanic. I have a Triumph…read more (Daytona 955i) which makes finding a good mechanic even more difficult. The mechanics that work here are great. They can read the engine codes for a Triumph, they do research, they make calls for parts (again, it's a Triumph) , and things are ready when they say they will be, if not before. They also seem willing to work on all types of motorcycles, even older ones. When I had a trip planned they worked my bike in same day, short notice to repair something. Tires were about the same as best online prices. Finally, it's generally been less than I thought for repair and maintenance work. Overall its been a superior service experience there.

Mike in service was the rudest service person I have ever met at an Indian dealership First he said the dealership was very busy and couldn't get to till the afternoon ... I'm sure if those customers with bikes there would not have mind if dealer to a hour to put tire on someone traveling thru .. then he said he had to check if tire stock and would get back to me .. no call I had to call him ... .... so I went to dealership at 11:00 ... I sat there till 4 pm ...Lost a whole day of travel time ..... I asked him what he rides He doesn't ... so he doesn't understand Mike the service manager is a dick and should not be the face of the service department

Dan is a great guy who knows what he is talking about, and his mechanics are pretty knowledgeable and kind as well. As a young woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm always afraid of getting scammed and up-charged; with my luck some other numbnut mechanic out there would try to convince me to buy their "premium air"... I'm happy I found a place where I don't have to worry about that. If you want to patronize a knowledgeable business that practices honesty and integrity, go to La Barge's in Albany :)

But there's nothing negative to report! This place has helped me out with everything from minor (and cheap) concerns to body damage and engine issues. They always give me a fair estimate (I've shopped around) and the work is always done surprisingly quickly. The past two times they even threw in some work without charging me (like a tire rotation or free diagnostic for a check engine light). And they were great at dealing with my insurance company and helping things to move smoothly and quickly after an accident. It's got that family business atmosphere, and you always interact with the same people, which helps with the trust-building. Even my uhaul rental experience was overly positive! There's the cutest little chihuaha hanging around, too. I highly recommend Rich's for any mechanic work or uhaul rental. I'm moving out of state and leaving this mechanic I trust truly disappoints me.

No one called ahead to give me a heads-up or reschedule -- I just arrived to locked doors. I called from the parking lot and left a message letting them know I was there for my appointment. That was over three weeks ago now, and I still haven't gotten a callback -- no apology, no explanation, nothing. I get that shops sometimes have to close unexpectedly, but a simple phone call would have saved me a wasted trip, and a follow-up afterward would have gone a long way. Instead, total silence. Can't recommend based on this experience -- communication was nonexistent.
