A2Z builders did a FANTASTIC job gutting & remodeling our basement! Satchel Sturtz, the project manager from A2Z, was personable, professional & easy to work with from the very beginning of our project until the very end! In our initial planning meeting, my husband & I felt Satchel listened to our wants & needs, then came up with a design that demonstrated his expertise, not only for the remodel of our basement, but also for the removal of our dining room wall on the main floor. He set us up with vendors who provided high quality materials such as tile & fixtures for the bathroom, LVP flooring, alder wood & iron for the railing, lighting, etc. All of the vendors were easy to work with as well. The subcontractors, such as the plumbers, electricians, egress window contractors & construction workers showed up when they were supposed to. Satchel made sure of that! Satchel stopped by often once our project began & if he wasn't able to stop by, he at least checked in via text & phone calls. He was great about answering any questions that arose. A2Z's 2 main construction workers, Al & Maraa, were EXCELLENT! Because they were here working every day, we got to know them quite well. They were meticulous in framing, hanging dry wall, laying tile, etc. I feel Satchel was instrumental in making sure that he assigned people who were compatible with the home owners. I would strongly recommend A2Z. I had a Basement Finishing project which I awarded to A2Z Builders in 2021 after putting it out to bid. 1 common room, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 mechanical room and stairs. A2Z performed a site visit and followed up with a competitive proposal with a lump sum price. Proposal was refined (for clarity) and agreed upon. Provided good references which I actually checked. Single contractor/ interface managing all the permits, procurement, construction across all disciplines/ areas. Importantly, they were not stingy on the materials and did not try to descope the project where it was not clear. They provided design options on the materials and various items to be purchased for confirmation. Payment schedule as work is completed (defined by successful inspection along the way) so risk is fair. They accommodated tenants who were living at the property during the time of construction. Accessed the basement via egress. Portable toilet and garbage organized. Overall good quality. Very professional and helpful. Easy to communicate with and responsive. Few issues along the way as you would expect but is always addressed which is important. Nothing is smooth in construction so it is about how the contractor responds to issues. The project was not considered completed until I was happy with everything and signed off on it. Matt was the Project Manager. He was outstanding. After reading reviews and researching contractors for a basement remodel I ended up hiring A2Z Builders for the job and am VERY happy with the outcome! In my experience it's hard to find a contractor in this market who will take your job, complete it within an agreed upon budget and in a timely manner, while communicating with you in a professional and time sensitive way. A2Z Builders and our project coordinator Tom did all of that and I would not hesitate to recommend them with confidence. The quality of their work was great and they always responded to my questions in a timely manner. They didn't leave till all the work was done and Tom was really attentive and visited the work site regularly to make sure things were progressing on time. Tom was great in putting together a proposal and then patiently tweaking it till we were on the same page about what we wanted to accomplish. We had them fully remodel a large laundry room and a bathroom, and we absolutely love the outcome. We've been through the ringer with REALLY bad experiences with contractors before so we were on our guard, and I don't have a single thing to complain about with our experience with A2Z. I had 2 tiny bathrooms that were fm 1970, the yr the house was built, one w a bright blue bathtub & another with an avocado green tub. I wanted them gutted & completely redone. The A2Z reviews were impeccable, & I got quotes fm Idan at A2Z, as well as two others. Idan told me "we won't be the cheapest, but we will do the best job." Yes, they were a little more than the other quotes, but I have been absolutely satisfied with every aspect of the project. They were never late. They never no-showed (a typical problem where I live in the mountains). Idan checked in with me regularly. If I had a question, I could text or call & get a response the same day. There were several issues that came up, always to be expected w an old house. Pipes had to be rerouted. I wanted bidets in both bathrooms & a jacuzzi downstairs, requiring additional electrical work. I had a steam shower installed, requiring custom glass doors. I could have done the project for less money, & Idan always pointed out the cheaper route so I had a choice. It is all done now, & both bathrooms are functional, beautiful & way beyond my expectations. I will use them again for any future needs without hesitation. read more

They gave me a quote on how much my bathroom renovations(and more) was going to cost and I ended up paying the exact price. This is convenient and especially nice because then you don't have to worry about if you have enough money to cover the costs and it ending up more expensive. Another thing that is nice about their pricing is that you do not have to put any money down. You just pay after each part of the renovation is done. Ok that's my rant about their pricing but now I will say a couple things about my particular renovation. First and foremost, after all the walls were dry from paint they installed a 70" LED flat screen TV! I mention this first because I am currently using it to watch Family Guy lol. Moving on... They also renovated my master bath and guest bath. They look fire. The last thing they did was replace almost all my windows. Everything turned out flawless and they did great work. Wow. Wow wow wow. Today, my husband and I walked into our full redone home. We love every single thing. They got everything right. The light laminate hardwood, the light gray color on all the walls, the kitchen, everything. Walking in we first noticed how much bigger the space looked. They added recessed lighting into the ceiling, put in new clean windows, and the flooring really made a difference. Then we walked into the dinning room where there was a really gorgeous navy and gold feature wall. Walking into the kitchen both my husband and I were shocked. It looked completely different in all the right ways. The countertops and cabinets were the first things that caught our eyes. Going upstairs, they also replaced our stair railing and added the hardwood on the stairs as well. Seeing the master was great and I could not believe that it was our bedroom. The bathroom was even better. There are so many things in the house the we both absolutely love. The staff did an amazing job and we are ecstatic with the renovation. Johnny Halis worked with us as the manager for our half a basement remodel project. He communicated with us almost every day for the entire four months it has taken to complete the project. Johnny and his workers got everything legal we wanted done accomplished. The difficulty of our project meant that it took extra long to complete. Despite this, the crew was nearly always timely, and no matter how many times or how much work needed to be redone, or undone because of the inspectors or communication issues, or any other reason. There was never an extra charge in our case. Once the full scope of the project in our minds was communicated to Johnny and his workers, the contract did not change in size or length. In the end the work was done beautifully, on time, and on budget. I wish we had trusted Johnny when he said "I will take care of everything" the first time he said it. It would have saved everyone a lot of time and anxiety. I hope they will come back soon and do my garage project. After the basement project, that should be easy. read more

We renovated 3 of our bathrooms with A2Z Builders. Before the renovation, our bathrooms were old-fashioned and we just wanted to make it more modern, clean, and functional. We wanted to do a full renovation of the bathrooms, redoing EVERYTHING!  A2Z Builders made us very happy with our new bathrooms. We actually got A2Z recommended by friends who said that they were amazing. They were right!  Our project manager was Johnny and he was great. He kept great communication and kept everything on time and organized.  We wanted each of our bathrooms to have a different color scheme, for example, one of our bathrooms was white with aqua accents. It looks stunning! The designing process was very easy, seamless, and surprisingly fun!  We absolutely love our bathrooms! They make going to that bathroom luxurious! A2Z Builders were reliable, budget-friendly, safe, clean, friendly, and did good long-lasting work. We picked A2Z Builders based on reading reviews and am glad to add our own. We had Solomon as our project manager for a kitchen and bathroom remodel. He was better than we could have hoped for. He was an excellent listener and doer. He took everything to heart and implemented it in the best way possible. If he didn't agree with our choices, he let us know and he was usually right. If something didn't look right, he suggested changes. If something didn't turn out right, he fixed it. He even upgraded our microwave to one that fit the space better- at his cost. When the cabinets were delivered, the driver's helpers to unload didn't show up and the driver was going to leave; but Solomon talked him into unloading with Solomon's help! Solomon, kept us informed with frequent updates, pictures and video calls. His workers were competent and did a great job. We really enjoyed working with Solomon and miss our frequent communications If we had another project we would use A2Z Builders and Solomon in a heartbeat! read more

Full renovation done! Yay, A2Z Construction just completed our full home reno. We are super stoked to be in our new house. During this crazy time, we thought to just go into the renovating process because it could not get crazier and we needed a refresh since the entire family clan was in the house 24/7. That part was not super fun as a mom ;). They renovated everything and made it fully accustomed to our tastes. My favorite part of the house is my new office. They built me custom shelves which are EXTREMELY helpful because I have so many law files. The kids' favorite, you probably guessed it, is the basement playroom.  My husband and I were sort of worried to do the renovation because of the virus, but we just really wanted it done and everything turned out ok in the end. We contacted and interviewed several contractors before choosing A2Z. We had a brick chimney that had separated from our house and was bowing in the middle. It had to be removed and rebuilt. We decided not to replace the brick but to reframe it with siding instead. The chimney was over 30 feet tall. Scaffolding was needed and the brick was removed basically brick by brick. Engineers were also needed to insure it was built to code. Solomon was our project manger. He and his team worked almost around the clock to insure that they could remove the brick and close in the opening before the weather changed. Douglas county building inspectors had no problem with passing inspections as the project progressed through the various stages of construction. In recent days, A2Z Builders of Denver completed a restoration project for our basement that had been flooded by a break in a sprinkler pipe. After mitigation and demolition was completed, we retained A2Z to put things back together, a process that involved replacing, sanding, and taping drywall; carpentry to repair door trim and baseboards; two coats of paint on everything; and the installation of new carpeting throughout. The workmen were skilled, courteous, deferential, responsive, and cleaned the workspace at the end of each day. Of special importance to us were quality of work, timeliness, responsiveness to changes and special requests - all of which occurred to our great satisfaction. And finally, the project management was available, cooperative, and clearly sought to please. A2Z did a phenomenal job and were fairly priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone. After interviewing a half-dozen contractors in the Denver area, some of which did not want to do things above board with permits, we decided to proceed with A2Z to gut and renovate our kitchen and transform a room into a main bathroom with a walk-in closet. A2Z also agreed to work on a half dozen minor things that had been bothering us in our 100+ year-old home. Yuval was our main project lead, and on-site we had Bar and Izzy, all three of which were highly responsive and great communicators. Our designer, Macy, was phenomenal and her vision for our old home was spot on. All of their subcontractors were kind and professional. By the end of the project we felt like they were family. In a way we are almost sad the work was done because we enjoyed working with everyone at A2Z. Truly the best in Denver. read more
