My most recent one was very mind-boggling to say the least, and this came after downloading the newest iOS version to my iPhone and I couldn't get my device to boot-up. Likewise, I couldn't use the restore function either, which meant my phone was dead in the water, and I needed help fast! I knew I needed professional help, so after reading the reviews for "Ann Arbor iPhone & Macbook" on Yelp, I knew this was my first go to choice. I decided to drive down to Washington Street, rather than call on the telephone. I talked with Jack on the phone, and he came right over to look at my phone. After examining the patient, he decided to download the iOS update again, and reboot my phone. After that I was able to access my iCloud, and restore the phone back to normal. Jack does amazing work, and if I could give this review 10-stars I would. IMHO, Jack is really the "IPhone/Macbook Whisperer" and does a truly professional job all the way.

But that's not even the best part - Kat's reply was not only speedy, it contained directions on how to fix the port myself! In just a few minutes, my problem was solved - late on a Saturday night and at a cost of exactly $0. Kat, you rock. Ann Arborites, take your iPhone repair needs to Kat. I knew I was taking a risk to have it fixed and they never guaranteed anything. However, what did upset me was the fact that after looking around more, this seemed to be the only phone repair shop in Ann Arbor that charges a nonrefundable fee to even attempt to fix a phone. The other stores will only charge you if they're successful in fixing your phone. I picked up my broken phone back from these frauds. Upon pickup they tried to upsell me on a deluxe package that would entail a "deeper dive" and a more thorough fixing process. I couldn't believe it. They kept saying that no other competitors would be able to fix the phone and it was destroyed. Well surprise, surprise....I took it to another competitor and they had it completely fixed within 1/2 a day! And didn't even charge me unless the phone was fixed! TLDR: is your phone is broken, don't come here for them to repair it. AVOID!

One word -- CROOKS!!…read more This place is ridiculous! They are flat or crooks. We were referred there to have our broken iPad screen fixed. It was shady from the get go. For $190 it was supposed to be a one week repair. They called after a week and said they ordered the wrong color screen and were hoping we wouldn't mind if we had a white screen with a black home button. Of course we said no. Then they finally got the correct screen. We picked up the iPad after 2.5 weeks. They insisted on cash because their register was "broken". We'll just a couple weeks later the home button was broken. I took it back to the store and they said too bad. It had been over 30 days since we dropped it off. Didn't matter that we only had he iPad for 2 weeks. They basically blew us off. Luckily the Apple Store made things right. Overall...avoid this place and anyone associated with them like the plague!!! Fraudulent crooks.

They replaced my cracked screen for $90.00. Shortly after replacing my screen my phone began turning off, freezing, and lines would appear on the screen. I took the phone in and explained the issues I was having. They went through the process again and "tightened" everything up on the inside and said they fixed it. However the issues continued. So I brought in my phone again. They told me that actually the screen was faulty so that replaced my screen for a second time. That still did not fix how my phone was acting. I went in a third time and was told that apparently when you update Iphones and then get your phone repaired at a store other than Apple it messes with how your phone functions. The guy apologized and said he should have warned me before replacing my screen. I said no problem, please just refund me my money, at this point I did not think it is fair to be out $90 and be left with a phone that no longer works properly. The service guy told me no refunds under any circumstance. After reasoning with him, he said I would have to speak with the manager. My fourth time going in I spoke with the manager. Boy was that a treat... He did not care at all about my phone and how it was their fault. He only cared about the money he would be losing. He kept saying, I understand you was a refund but then I make no money! I was honestly shocked how rude he was speaking to me and how he clearly only cared about his needs. FINALLY however I did receive my refund. It was a long and frustrating process and now I am off to AT&T to get a new phone all together since now my phone freezes, turns off, and has lines that will appear randomly across the screen. My best advice would be to shop around! And stay away from the Cell Doc Store in the Briarwood Mall located in Ann Arbor, MI.
