Long post but sooooo many levels of incompetence I took a brand new pair of pants with tag still on. I stood there while both women talked to me. One of them pinned pants. We had a lengthy discussion in detail that I wanted the new hem to look exactly like the old one. One woman said she'd do it differently but I told them what I wanted. She said "yes it can be done" I reiterated "it's the style of the pants, and that's why I bought them and it could be done there was plenty of fabric and what I want". Both woman agreed it could be done. When I go to pick them up, they are done completely wrong. The hem I wanted to preserve was not done and the woman who did the work said the woman that pinned them didnt write down my instructions!! But the woman who altered them was part of the full discussion when they were hemmed! so she threw her colleague under the bus. Both of them were present and actively talking to me about the new hem and style I wanted to preserve. Both agreed it could be done. When I go to pick them up, they are not how I want it, it is how the first woman wanted it, and the second one blamed it on the first ones were not writing it down! Absolutely the worst Poor excuse, horrible Customer Sevice, I told him I didn't wanna come back. I would take a discount and just leave and they told me, " we can't give you a discount only the owner ." I suggested we call the owner and was told, "the Owner is in Greece." So these employees are not empowered to make a simple decision. What kind of Owner is doesn't empower employees to make simple decisions that might preserve a modicum of credibility, leaves them stranded and they do a FAILURE job - poor workmanship and oh by the way... Do not go there unless you want your clothes ruined. The kicker: I know how to sew and I know there was plenty of fabric and time to do it right. BTW, I used to own 6 dry cleaners so I know exactly what's going on there and it is not professional. Negative stats if I could! read more

I've had a number of linen curtains beautifully pressed at this location. However I had one curtain dry cleaned due to a coffee stain, and I got the curtain back 2 inches shorter and somewhat damp. Thus far, no returned call back from Carmela the owner. read more

Very bad service all around. Took my wife's wedding dress to be cleaned after our wedding. Was told 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks went by so I called and they did not know where her almost $2k dress was. They called us back and said it would be 1 more week. 2 more weeks go by and they don't know what I'm talking about and had to look for it. When I finally got to pick it up there were new stains and still makeup on it. They wouldn't refund money but would "send it off to be cleaned" again. I thought they were doing it in house or I wouldn't have taken it there. Second time cleaning took a month!! After saying they would expedite it. I will never recommend using or use this business again! read more

I cannot begin to explain how much I value the excellence of seamstress Carmela. I've been coming her for many years. I've had my prom and Navy ball dresses altered here and was always impressed. But of course I think the true test was getting my wedding dress altered. It originally was a size 8 and we brought it down to a size 4. My dress was a lace trumpet dress with a deep V back so the adjustments of the dress were a little delicate. I had several different fittings to make sure that every area of the dress fit to me perfectly. I wasn't helping Carmela any but loosing weight really close to the wedding; thanks to anxiety. But she did her best to make sure I was happy with the fit of my dress. I still come here for all of my alterations. They do excellent work. read more

I bought a new pair of pajamas identical to my old ones and brought both pairs in so they could match sleeve and bottom lengths. New new pair's sleeves were over shortened. At first the seamstress denied the sleeves were shorter despite that obviously being the case. Instead of offering to refund my charges or replace the garment (it cost the same as the alteration did), they insisted they could correct the problem. They created a "micro-hem" that has curled up ever since. So every night I put on my PJs and think of them. Perhaps some of the seamstresses there are skilled but mine was not, and the customer service has me getting my alterations elsewhere. read more

Carmela was absolutely amazing. She literally saved the day (and it was a BIG day considering it was my wedding day). The dress that I was fitted for got sent to me and it was 4 sizes too big. It looked impossible to fix considering it was all mesh and embroidery. She had to hand take off all the buttons and sew them all back on. I've never felt more beautiful when she was finished. It fit so perfectly and was hemmed PERFECTLY. She did this all within a few days but it looked as if she made the dress herself over a period of months!! Honestly, i was charged more than we initially agreed upon and rudely brushed off when I asked about it saying it was tax, but we agreed upon $80 and i was charged $85. I had embroidery on my dress and asked if they could take in some of the loose pieces. Sloppy job. Even the front still has pieces dangling. Unhappy. I will not go back. read more

I brought my wedding dress here for alterations 2 1/2 months before my wedding. I made an appointment to get it pinned so it could be altered, and when I showed up, after driving 40 minutes there, I was told the tailor was out of the country (so why did I have an appointment?) so I made a new one for two weeks later. I came and got pinned and dropped off my dress, they gave me a date to pick up, about a month later, and I agreed. Then, I went to pick it up and it wasn't ready. so now we are a month out from the wedding and no dress. She said she would have it done the following week, she just needed to hem it and add the buttons (which is all that needed to be done to begin with). Well, you guess it, it was STILL not ready the following week. So two and a half months in advance turned into 3 weeks before the wedding and still no dress. I asked to take my dress with me so I could find someone else and they were very rude about it, and practically threw the dress at me without saying a word. I would never recommend them to anyone, especially a bride with too much on her plate because clearly this will just add to it. read more

Im from Orlando and got into St augustine 2 days away from my wedding. Just to be safe I wanted to try on my dress to make sure it still fit so I found this shop. When I tried it on we noticed there was something wrong with the side of my dress where there was extra fabric which made it look lopsided and bulgy. On top of that some parts of the dress were no longer sewn down anymore. Like any bride I nearly had a melt down knowing we were two days away. Despite the shop being busy the lady took the time to fix my dress for me right there on the spot and inspected to make sure everything else was okay. She literally saved the day and my dress fit perfectly! I can now breathe and focus on counting down the next 48 hrs versus stressing my dress! Carmela was a life saver!!!! I am from Vancouver and was in town for my aunt's wedding. The dress I had originally bought to wear as a bridesmaid was way to small and just simply did not work. Luckily my sister had brought a backup, however, the dress was much to large and did not look good at all.
