A-1 came to my house today to clean my wood-burning stove. I called around and they were the most professional on the phone, willing to make the time to get here, a little late, but kept me informed the whole time. Very professional gentlemen who came and they did an incredible job of cleaning and keeping my house free of the dust, etc. Would highly recommend them! read more

I usually don't write reviews, however this is my second one in as many days. I finally caught up to and met Efrain, the owner of A1 Chimney. What I found was a highly motivated and impressive young man of 23 years, who bought this company when he was 18 years old. He had worked during High School and saved his money for this purpose. He finished the job in less than 30 minutes and charged me nothing for my inconvenience. The fact that he contacted me and made good on our agreement speaks a lot to his character. My wife and I sat and talked with Efrain over a breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and O.J. He is very personable and a family man. He and his wife are expecting their first child (a girl) in 5 weeks. I highly recommend this company, call him and help his business grow. You will be happy with the results. Good luck Efrain. read more

It's been quite chilly these days so decided it was time to actually use my fireplace. A1 Chimney sweeps was chosen due to good reviews already on yelp so thought i give them a try. They were kind and efficient..no mess. They even cleaned my gutters. No mess. They suggested some things i needed for chimney that they could have totally tried to sell what they had in stock but impressed he suggested to buy online or home depot because cheaper.. Thanks A1 Chimney! Highly recommend. Cant wait to use my fireplace. And Santa will appreciate it being clean too read more

Efraim came in and did a great job. He was most professional and pointed out some needed structural work to the exterior of the chimney (i.e. rotting, sun-damaged framing). He worked quickly and efficiently. I appreciated his sense of humor and highly recommend him and A-1. read more

Great great customer service! Efraim was very polite and professional. He did a great job. He left my living room dust/soot free just as he had promised (which I appreciated GREATLY). I will definitely be contacting Efraim every time I need my chimney cleaned. He went above and beyond what I expected. While being there, he also cleaned my dryer vent since I had mentioned to him that my dryer had not been functioning properly. Dryer has been working great since then. I will definitely be recommending him to my friends and family. read more

We had a great experience with this company. They showed up on time and were happy to check out the chimney in our cottage on our property after cleaning out our chimney in the main house. They were polite to our renters and we were very pleased with their service. read more

I had a suspicion that my dryer vent might need to be cleared. I called and spoke to Efraim and was able to make an appointment for next day service. Nathaniel showed up and was personable. He spent time explaining what he'd be doing and what the results were. Based on problems on my end and photos Nathaniel took, it was apparent my vent pipe was full to the roof. Nathaniel cleared it out and went on his way. Quick and efficient service! read more

For years, our chimney has been filled with candles and decorations, but when my wife and I decided to use it for what it was meant for our first act was to call A1 Chimney Sweep! They were quick, efficient and professional when it came to cleaning our chimney that had not been used or taken care of in many years, easy to work with when consulting us and an all around delight. Efraim was incredibly polite and personable and I will gladly have him back again when we need our next chimney sweep. read more

I appreciated having my chimney cleaned so efficiently by A1 Chimney Sweeps. They missed the first appointment but more than made up for it by coming as soon as they were able and taking excellent care of the chimney right away. read more

After reading their reviews, I contacted this company to replace the bricks in my fireplace insert, as a few had cracked. I got a return call and was given a reasonable quote for the job, and we scheduled a date and time. Efraim had sent a staff member to do the job, but he was told it was a cleaning, and by the way, Efraim has the bricks with him. We were told this after he was an hour and a half late. Okay, things happen. We rescheduled for today and after waiting a half hour past the scheduled time, I called and left a message with Efraim. No return call, no one showed up to do the job. The only reason I am giving this company 1 star is because I have to in order to post this review, otherwise they would get zero stars. read more

I called this company and told them all I wanted was a safety inspection to make sure that I could use the chimney without any problems. I had spoke to the person on the phone at length about what I wanted. I explained that I wanted the inside and outside of it inspected including the shoulders, cap, crown and bricks. Ten minutes past my appointment time I was called by them informing me they were running late and would be here in 10 more minutes. Ten or so more minutes went by and was called again by them informing me they would be about 20 minutes more. When they showed up again I told them all I wanted was a chimney inspection to ensure that it is safe to use. The chimney opening where you would put the fireplace grate was already clean. As soon as they arrived I had a phone call come in from my car insurance company for a billing problem. They told me that I should step outside because it was going to get a little noisy when they do the inspection. I stepped outside. Next thing I know he says he is done. I had asked them if they had inspected the shoulders, cap, crown and bricks outside and was informed yes they did. Sadly after telling my husband later on that they said they inspected that he told me they did not because he was with them the whole time and they never went outside to inspect it. Then they tell me it is almost 3 times the amount I agreed to on the phone. He said the reason was because they did a chimney cleaning. I never asked for this to be done. I just wanted an inspection so I could use it knowing it was safe to. I about had a heart attack. That's not what I agreed to. I informed him of this. After a lengthy discussion, he agreed to only charge me what I was quoted. I was expecting and hoping for a smooth experience, darn. Sadly they had removed the fireplace grate and placed it in the dirt outside. When they left, they left it out in the dirt! I was really surprised that since they removed it from the fireplace that they did not replace it back into the fireplace! read more

Efraim cleaned the chimney and inspected the pellet stove. He completed the job in the timeframe he had estimated. He also provided helpful information regarding keeping the unit in good working order and the recommended frequency for future cleans. As this was the first service for the unit since installation, I was surprised at the build-up of ash. Thanks for the service. read more

Efriam and his brothers where fantastic very professional and on time. Very reasonable prices. This guys are the real deal they not only do their job but go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I recommend this company. Ephraim was thorough, cleaned up, and made recommendations. We will use them again if needed.

Very communicative. Even when they had to reschedule, the team was polite, responsive and professional. They were early (a good thing) for the job and worked quickly but thoroughly. read more

To pay for a chimney inspection and cleaning only to find out that during the "inspection" they missed a huge crack running down the front is terrible. They were supposed to come back and help put the chimney cap on the next day at a "reduced" rate for their previous error and yet have never come back or returned my calls nor have them compensated me for their inaccurate inspection. TERRIBLE. My next step is to report them to the better business office and to make sure everyone on my social media knows not to use this company. DO NOT use this company if you want an honest and reliable service of your chimney. read more

These guys are AMAZING! Nathaniel was the lucky one that cleaned my fireplace...poor guy! It hasn't been cleaned in well over 10 years. He came and got my chimney cleaned up in a snap...and didn't leave a trace of soot or dirt anyplace! He was done in less than an hour and was as polite and friendly as could be. Thank you Nathaniel and Efraim for your service...I will be keeping these guys for a long time! read more

Unfortunately, this didn't work out. They didn't show for the appointment and called the next day. They had gotten the name of the street garbled. No problem, we rescheduled. Ten minutes before they were supposed to be at my house the second time, they called and said they'd be 35 minutes late, then called again to check on my address, which they thought was in a completely different town. At this point I thought better of having them come and found someone else. read more

Efraim did a great job on our very challenging chimney. Our place as a very long chimney and he had to get up on the roof of our 2+ story house. He did a very thorough job and did a great job on the wood stove as well. He is courteous and professional. He and his partner left the area very clean. I would recommend this company to anyone and will have them back for our next cleaning. read more

These guys are great. I called on Wednesday and they came on Thursday. In and out in under an hour. Reasonable prices and very nice!

Efraim, the owner of this company is very professional, honest, and does great work. He cleaned our pellet stove and dryer vent both in the same visit. I highly recommend Efraim and will definitely continue to use his services. He is very professional. I was impressed by his timely communication; he confirmed my appointment and let me know he was on his way. I also knew nothing about my fireplace and he patiently and generously gave me a lesson on the basics. He left my home clean and even was so kind to clean my gutter while on the roof! He was polite, courteous, and fair in estimates/pricing. Will use again, highly recommend. read more

I scheduled for 8:00 on Monday. I called at 8:15 and they informed me that they lost their appointment book and had to re-schedule everyone. This is after I hadn't received previous call backs to schedule. Not professional at all. Have they heard of a computer or using two devices to write down their appointments. I think this was a ridiculous reason. Not calling again. read more
