Was out east today with my girls and stopped by A Wing Away Kitchen for lunch. The food was hot, fresh and packed with FLAVOR! Super LARGE portions! The chicken sandwich is not a patty but fresh chicken beer battered and even that batter had flavor! The burger my daughter was in heaven. The chicken and rice was the star for me with the green sauce. I tried a new wing forgot the name but it was perfect. It was dry rubbed. Wings were juicy and crispy. Lunch specials too! Family spot. I walked in and was treated like family right away, I went there for the brisket but they were out because 4th of July transit delay. I can't really blame them because they don't control the logistics of the trucks. Most places were still closed on the 5th, so I commend them for being open. The owner recommended I try the burgers , and I hesitated, but he insisted they were genuinely good. I said okay, let's do it! Burger was soft buns with a big 8oz patty. Good cheese on it. They even threw in a free egg on the burger (they asked me beforehand) and it was delicious. Easily one of the top 3 spots for a burger in Suffolk County! Solid 8.5/10 I eat a lot of eggs, so I asked if they could cook 3-4 more eggs, and they said no problem, no hesitation! I talked to them for a long time after I was done eating and they are just good people, and that is hard to come by these days. I went back there again and it is like 30 minutes from my area. I really enjoyed my first experience, so I had to. I got the brisket this time, and it was also really enjoyable. It was tender which is the main thing I worry about when getting brisket. It is difficult to cook perfectly tender, and I commend them for not having dry or tough brisket. The sandwich was a 8/10. I definitely recommend. Amazing service, amazing food. The owner is great at conversing, he is welcoming and it is obvious he loves what he does. His employee is also extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk with as well! Walked in and was greeted by a very nice lady! She was excited for us to try things and ask all about the menu! Service was great. Clearly a family operation that put their heart and soul into the food and service. We drove out to visit, because we remembered them from their food truck. they were so appreciative, and excited to hear that their Everything but the bagel Wing made us come visit their brand new location! Let me start by saying that I have been involved in the food industry for a long time, and I am a cook myself. The owner Anthony and his wife are absolutely amazing and welcoming people!! They truly put their heart and soul into making not only every item on this menu delicious but also love to truly get to know their customers & make sure everything is satisfactory. If you try to order online some sauces cost more than others ($2 extra for buffalo garlic parm, 2 flavors they offer separately ) and an Extra $3 to request wing or drum. Wingstop will do the same for $1, and offers combos. Menu says ask about our apps but doesn't include a list of anything besides the main dishes. There are four main meat options and they were out of two of them (corned beef and brisket) on a beautiful Saturday. People kept ordering things that they were out of. The plates are paper. The straws are paper. The utensils are plastic. Oh the irony! Staff (1 person) was friendly but couldn't keep up because he is also the chef!!!
