While this place isn't heralded as a 5-star hotel, it was a very hospitable and clean place! The Triple Queen was a great fit for our large, multi-generational family while we visited Yellowstone for the first time ever. The hotel staff was very cordial and willing to help in any way needed. They are a no-fuss type of place where you should find everything you need in your room, but should there be an issue after hours- they leave a phone number for you to call. Simple. Clean. Good hot water pressure. Keurig Coffee maker. Refrigerator. Microwave. A door between the sink and the toilet/bathtub room. Several air conditioning window units to keep it cold in the summer. Need me to add more? This place was $80 more budget-friendly than its competitors and we really liked it! **Also, I check every bed I sleep on for bed bugs and their mattresses are zipped up tight with the protective cover. Brenda, no worries, you have twisted a very consistent concrete complaint complete with pictures into false statements about towels not used, us throwing things? And stating how clean the rooms are. Many may be, but our room was obviously missed by housekeeping and professional businesses do not treat their guests in this fashion. The pictures speak volumes. Wind and outdoor access are irrelevant with what we found in the bed including hair and skin. Expedia did partially compensate us, but this was not about money, it was about customer service, not becoming defensive when the evidence was there, and still denying it. read more

Nice clean old school motel. Our room was comfortable and fairly quiet. You even get a marked parking spot outside your door which was nice as we knew we'd be able to park after dinner. Next time in Cody we will be sure to book a room here again. read more

My husband and I were enjoying ourselves at Yellowstone National Park when we found out the RV we rented had some major mechanic problems. We were subsequently towed 80 miles out of the park and ended up in this small town called Cody. We quickly went online and booked a room at the Western Rose. Upon arrival, we were both stressed and pretty miserable, but we were greeted by a friendly, welcoming face. This motel is family owned by a wife and husband team. Both of them helped us get settled in and were very pleasant and positive. They were incredibly accommodating when we had to stay an extra night, and even gave us a ride to the auto shop. We appreciate their kindness and hospitality. The room was clean and neat - equipped with a Keurig, microwaves and refrigerator. It was such a relief to have a pleasant room to retire to after a long day! The shower was lovely and the water pressure was great. The motel is also walking distance to the downtown area-- full of cute shops and a big museum called Buffalo Bill Center of the West. If you find yourself entering Yellowstone from the East entrance, I'd definitely recommend spending a day in Cody and staying a night at this conveniently located motel. read more

The Hotel manager is such a rude B.... we had a family emergency my father was admitted in the hospital and I called 15 days in advance to let them know we wouldn't be making the trip I asked for my money back they wouldn't let me have it kept over 300 dollars and was so unprofessional and rude I wouldn't recommend doing business with them if they was the last hotel in Cody if I could give them a 0 I would absolutely the worst customer service ever. read more

Comfortable and clean. A little dated but at this price you'll not find better in Cody.

The king-size room (122) was surprisingly large. It also had a good window AC unit, small refrigerator, and a good television. Other positives included: Brenda, the owner and front desk person, was very welcoming and helpful; the room was very clean, and had two comfortable chairs; and the carpet was in good shape ( vs a gummy thin-padded carpet). Also, we appreciated the lack of unpleasant odors which is not a given in an older property. As for the negatives: the bed is uncomfortably soft; the microwave was in a common area rather than in each room; and the Internet was very slow. Though the price seems high for the amenities, the market for this area is bearing crazy-high prices. The price point for this room was within our budget. Should we return to Cody, I would check with Brenda as to whether a firm bed could be found in another room. read more

My family really enjoyed our stay at A Western Rose. It was cute. It was a small operation, not one of those big chain hotels but that made it the service feel more genuine. The sheets and towels were soft and comfortable. The shower was kind of short but not ridiculously so. It's pressure was perfect. They included a free tube of toothpaste in the room which was a nice touch. The price felt just a little high, but it was a tourist town outside Yellowstone, so what are you gonna do? read more

We stayed here after a long day at Yellowstone National Park and the Cody Nite Rodeo. The room was around $80 (with tax) for 2 and only had one queen sized bed with cable TV and AC. We made reservations months in advance and that was the best rate we could get in the area at the time. I brought my own sleeping bag. The room was clean and we could park our vehicle right at the door to load and unload quickly. They offered a very basic continental breakfast (coffee, juice, toasted English muffins, and boxed donuts) in a dedicated room across the parking from our room. Very nice motel in a great location (near downtown). Staff are very friendly and provide great information on places to meet, visit, and best routes of travel (we were headed over Beartooth pass and were concerned about road conditions). A very clean, no frills, basic motel with clean linen and a caring owner. I appreciated the phone call shortly upon arrival to see if everything in the room was okay. This level of customer service goes a long way. Other than that, nothing special. The TV channel receptions were not very good. Toothpaste among basic toiletries was provided. there's a keurig. I'm surprised to see this place doesn't have any up-to-date reviews. First of all, the customer service was the best I've received at a hotel. The owner (who informed me her and her husband purchased the location two years ago) was personable and very sweet. After calling ahead to let her know we'd be arriving extremely late, she worked to ensure we had everything we needed once we arrived. She even called on my way there to let me know that I could call her and wake her if I had any issues. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the room. Only paying about 50 dollars a night for the cheapest room with a queen sized bed, we were upgraded to a king size bed for free. The room was spotless and contained all the basic necessities (tv, coffee machine, mini fridge, toiletries). Also, the location is walking distance from downtown and all the stores/restaurants. The owner even left a very detailed pamphlet with a hand-written note about the town and places to get late night food. For the price, this place exceeded our expectations. Although we weren't in the room very much, we were happy with the friendly staff, cheap rates, and clean room. read more

We rented a three queen room for a single night in Cody, and this place was relatively inexpensive considering other options. Reserving the room online was quick and easy. Please note that they do charge your credit card in advance for a single night stay, so you need to be ready to commit to staying there. The check-in process was fast, and we found the room to be clean and quiet. Navigating their parking lot is a bit tricky when it is full, but we were happy to see that they had a dedicated parking spot for each unit, so we didn't have to worry about not finding a place to park our car. The air conditioning units in the room weren't as noisy as I've seen in other hotels, but it would be best to have a pair of ear plugs, just in case. I would recommend this place if you're staying in Cody for a day or two, or you're passing through to get to Yellowstone. read more

Check in was quick, there were designated parking spots per room so you were garanteed a place to park, it's walking distance from some of the best restaurants in town and the room was very clean and well kept. Great place to stay. The only Starbucks for 100 miles is right up the street inside an Albertsons grocery store so you can get other goodies for breakfast. A short walk to two good Mexican Restaurants and a Chinese Restaurant. It is on the West side of town from Yellowstone but little traffic so it was a short drive. You go past the only Walmart for miles too. The drive into Yellowstone is breathtaking and worth driving every day. We went out the northeast entrance after visiting the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Another fantastic drive and well worth taking. This hotel was half the price of others in town and you park right in front of your unit. No lugging suitcases up a flight of stairs and down the hall. read more

This hotel is dated, probably the worst hotel in Cody. Don't waste your money the linens have frayed edges. The towels are awful and scratchy. The window ac units are loud and don't cool the rooms. It obvious no money is spent on upgrades maintenance and cleaning! Yuck!! read more

Let me start off mentioning the owner was phenomenal at accommodating her guest and gave us an experience that exceeded our expectations. We had informed her we were arriving around 2am ahead of time.The evening prior to our arrival, she gave us a call; updating us on the weather, our room number, and insisted we knock on her apartment if we needed anything. We originally arranged to stay in a queen sized, one bed room which we found online for $60 (typically $80). After our 8 hour drive we discovered an envelope on our door with a sincere note inside that welcomed us with a complementary upgrade to the king sized, one bed suite. Overall the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff knows how to comfort their guest. This may be the best valued place to stay in Cody, WY. read more

August 2016: Cody, Wyoming. The hight of the season. Stay two nights to visit Yellowstone. Was the closest place that had vacancies. This is an expensive room. Yet, if you had not made hotel, motel, camping, RV or Inn arrangements, this is what you get. At two hundred bucks and no microwave in the room. I guess, you could not do better. Overall, nice place to stay. This room was the most expensive room I have ever pay for; it's not a bad room, I guess. The hotel is located a few hundred feet from the Main Street. The staff was friendly. Quiet, comfortable and clean was the room. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee in the room, but no microwave. The large microwave is located in a common area with the ice, washing/ drier machines. $ 1.75 for the washing/ drier. The owner always has change for the machines. If you need to use the microwave, request rooms from 112 to 117. These are the closest to it. read more
