Terrible Experience - Avoid A-Tex Towing at All Costs A-Tex Towing has been nothing short of a nightmare. They were entrusted to tow a 2013 Toyota Camry and the car was damaged in their custody. Not only did they damage the car during the towing process, but their response to concerns has been shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful. The owners, Danny and Tito, have demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and responsibility for the damage caused to the vehicle. Despite providing photographic evidence of the condition before towing, they have chosen to avoid any responsibility and disregard any attempts to resolve the matter. Furthermore, after reaching out to Danny personally to let him know of the damage to the Toyota Camry, he deleted all messages within minutes of my posting - meaning he is complicit. Adding to the frustration, the office manager, Jessica, has been equally unhelpful and abrasive in her interactions. Her unwillingness to even consider addressing the damage speaks volumes about the company's ethics and customer service standards. It's clear that A-Tex Towing values profit over integrity. Their dismissive and hostile attitude towards customers who have legitimate concerns showcases their true colors. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice before getting involved with this company. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and common decency is a red flag that should not be ignored. There are plenty of other towing services out there that actually care about their customers and take responsibility for their actions. Please save yourself the headache and financial burden. Do not choose A-Tex Towing for any towing needs, unless you're prepared for potential damages, unresponsiveness, and an overall terrible experience. P.S. I understand that every business can receive mixed feedback. However, the unprofessional manner in which A-Tex Towing responds to negative reviews, using ALL CAPS and attacking dissatisfied customers, is deeply concerning. (Check Yelp and Google Reviews to see what I mean) P.P.S. Notably, another reviewer had a similar experience of having their vehicle damaged in A-Tex Towing's custody. A-Tex sent a refund to the customer for the tow and then treated the customer as though their car was never towed. My interaction paralleled this pattern, with Jessica texting "I'm about to refund you." (text receipts available) This highlights a disconcerting pattern of deceptive practices. During interactions, I expected professionalism and accountability from A-Tex Towing, yet I was met with evasion and a refusal to acknowledge their role in the damage. Their handling of the situation raises serious doubts about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. To those seeking towing services, I strongly urge you to consider alternatives to A-Tex Towing. The recurring themes of unprofessionalism, deception, and lack of accountability in their operations are indicative of a business that falls far short of the standards customers deserve. On April 13th - My wife was driving with me and our 7 month old and 3 year old daughters in the car heading North on Mopac by the Captial of TX Highway Exit when an A-Tex Towing Flat Bed Tow Truck with no cars on the flatbed was throwing rocks/stones/gravel off of the bed. Several rocks and stones hit our car as we were 60-75 yards behind the tow truck going 65 mph and cracked and shattered our windshield. Glass came inside our car as well. Luckily we were able to stay in our lane and didn't cause an accident while rocks/stones continued to be thrown off of the A Tex Tow Truck. I called the number on the back of their tow truck and they proceeded to tell me that no truck was in the area and I was exaggerating. Completely unacceptable to have rocks on the truck without a care in the world and to disregard what could have been an awful accident or worse. I emailed them with pictures and no response, to no surprise. Hopefully they have some consideration to return my email with a solution.

Stranded with a flat tire and couldn't put The spare on because the rims were not the original ones. David came to the rescue by getting a tool that would remove the flat tire and put on my spare so I could get across the street to the tire company. I highly recommend this company and in particular David. read more

Called A-Tex and they were able to get to my car within 30 minutes, that was fantastic because my wife was waiting! No issues, driver took our car to the Mazda dealer and he unloaded it there. Contactless payment was helpful and driver wore a mask. Definitely will use again if I need a tow. Rate was reasonable. read more

These guys were excellent! For starters, they actually showed up when they said they would. Tito did a great job, very professional, very conscientious. After talking to him for a few minutes you could tell he was a pro who knew what he was doing. Price was great, service was great, no downside at all. I hope I never need my vehicle towed again, but if I do I'm going to use A-Tex. read more

Had a flat tire on my Harley late this past Saturday evening, and was stranded along Bee Cave road. A gentleman named David from A-Tex came to my rescue. He was prompt (actually showed up 30 minutes prior to what was committed to me), efficient, friendly and took special care of my bike while securing it on the truck. Good man, good conversation and I appreciated his cordial and efficient service. I'll certainly keep their contact info in my phone in case I need them again. read more

The best towing service. He came when I don't remember how many that my insurance contracted to tow my car did not even have the courtesy to call, from 7 in the morning. It was mid-afternoon when A-Tex was the next tow contracted by my insurance to tow my car. The owner himself called me as soon as he got the assignment whereas not a single other one called nor showed. Thank you, A-Tex for being the courteous and caring business owner who was there when no one else was. After the tow took my car, the owner himself called back again to be sure I was satisfied and that the job was done. read more

Is Tito the only one working here he just picked me up after having a flat, and a flat spare. He took me to the tire shop and even helped get a deal on a tire! He really went out of his way to help me! And the price was great too! I hope I never need another tow but if I do I know to call A Tex. Thank you Tito! read more

This is THE BEST towing company in the city of Austin!!! ***These were the ONLY guys I could get to come out after midnight on a Sunday night to tow my car after getting a flat coming back from the airport, and they came in less time than the 45 min estimate!! This was my happy ending to a very bad trip story. read more

Yesterday my car finally gave out! They were the first place I called and the receptionist told me they could be there in 15 minutes and it's was a fraction of what other places charge! This company came to my rescue in a difficult situation. I was driving in the middle lane of highway 71 and there was a large metal object in the center of my lane. I had come around a curve, so I didn't have time to see it. If I moved into another lane I risked hitting someone, so I braked and braved myself to hit it. After hitting the object I turned my flashers on and attempted to get over to the right, and I did, but the shoulder was not a full one, so my car was still partially in the way of oncoming traffic. Then I tried to go forward again to get off the highway, and my car would not move at all, the object completely lodged leaving me stuck. I called 911 while hoping no one was going to hit me. I waited nervously for the police to arrive, and was able to climb to the back of my car and get out over the highway railing into the grass. The police got there and had me back up my car, but the object was still lodged. They radioed for a tow company, while I started calling my roadside assistance. The gentleman with A-Tex towing showed up extremely quickly (I was still on the phone with my insurance just trying to order the tow from them, so I told them to cancel it). He was friendly and quickly lifted up my car, and removed the object. He checked out my car and said it looked good, and what I should get checked out. I can't thank him enough for coming to my rescue in a scary situation. I wasn't just worried about my safety, but also the police officers, and everyone else driving by that could have swerved and gotten hurt. I asked if I could write him a check and he said no, gave me his card and said I could recommend my friends to him. I am recommending everyone to this service! Unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name, but I am forever grateful to him and A-Tex towing for helping me out of that situation! It would have been much longer if I waited for my roadside assistance, potentially putting more people in danger. I wish people wouldn't let stuff fall off their cars/trucks, but they do, putting the lives of others at risk. I am lucky and thankful that I had the police and A-Tex towing that night. read more

This was by far the worst experience!!!!!! At 4am while driving to work I end up having blowout in the center lane on northbound 35 that sent me into a spin on the highway I and my car were stranded in a ditch. I ended up waiting in that ditch for hours waiting on the tow truck. As he was having a hard time locating me, this is not what upset me. The driver finally arrives sits in his truck for a moment, then without a word drives off!! He apparently decided to better assist me it would be better to loop back around and come from the highway rather than the feeder. This is fine but I'm standing behind your truck, say something! He shows up again 15 minutes later from the highway. After hooking up the car his only words are "Get in and steer". He pulls my car most of the way up (still a few feet from the road) and tells us to try and drive it the rest of the way and gets back in his truck. This took 3 attempts but we finally got the car on the pavement ourselves. He walks back and says "how are you paying?" We ask if if he can help with the tire and he says "no" takes his payment and leaves us on the side of the highway. Just as I had feared the spin caused more damage than simply changing the tire out. Which is why at minimum I wanted to be towed to the gas station, that was within eye site, that the driver refused to do. Had it not been for my fiancé driving from San Antonio to Austin to dangerously pry the tire off and rebend the bolts for the lug-nuts enough to get the spare on a busy highway to get to said gas station, I would still be on the side of the highway all the while out $120 (with roadside assistance)! Four hours later I might add! I've read the other review that appear to be positive and thus idk if the driver sent to me was new or not in the mood to help but regardless should not have a job in this business!!!! Who leaves a scared woman sitting in a ditch in the dark that long and then takes off with her still on the highway?!?!?! read more

Waited three hours for a tow truck. Called to get a tow truck. An hour later when the tow truck was scheduled to be there I got a call from them getting all my information again and then making me wait another hour. Another 2 hours went by and it finally arrived. However, I had to call them to remind them that I needed a tow and they never informed me on anything along the process. The only good part was the driver was hospitable and did everything very professionally. For the rest of the process, it was terrible. Hopefully, they can get organized and create a better system for time estimates and communication, but I will not be using them again. read more

This is the place to call. My Mother needed a tow and Tito picked us up and let us know they could fix her car in house. While we waited in the a.c at their office, They drove across town and got the part to fix radiator and had us out in hours. The next day they fixed her a.c compressor and fan blade as well all for about half of what dealership would have charged. Great people and great prices for great work! read more

My car was towed by these guys and they ended up damaging my brakes in the process. Somehow in the process of loading my car onto their flatbed, they hit the brakeline on my drivers side and damaged it to where it would leak brake fluid all over the place. I got my car fixed the next day, having barely made it home leaving their lot. The refuse to even consider paying the $110.00 I paid to get my car fixed. Very low-rent operation going over there and pray that these guys do not tow your car for fear of them messing it up. read more
