I love coming here! They are always super fast with their alterations and they charge very reasonable prices! I've been here a handful of times, but the one that sticks out the most is when I needed a last minute alteration for a bridesmaid dress. I first called David's bridal to see what they offered and basically laughed at them when they said how much they charge for a simple take in of the sides. I called A Tailor to find out roughly how much she'd charge and it came to like a 1/3 of the cost! And she did a phenomenal job! I have been going Maria for my alterations for over 7 years now. I have always walked out of her shop satisfied with her work! She's even told me if an alteration wouldn't fix the bad fit (as with some uniform pieces for example). I appreciate her honesty and attention to detail. I am a flight attendant and even tho I live part time in Las Vegas and the east coast, I still come to her for my alterations even if I have to wait to get to Vegas. Came here because of Yelp and yet again it didn't fail me. We came in around 5 and needed a hem. Super duper last minute, we needed it by tomorrow morning. She rushed our hem and had it done by 6pm the same day on top of her other alterations she had. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. Will definitely recommend and be back. Brought a bridesmaid dress here to get shortened. It is a kind of hard to find but as others described behind Dunkin donuts. It is a tiny shop but they are so friendly and sweet ! It only took a couple of minutes after putting on my dress for her to pin for adjustments. It was 25$ to shorten (needed probably around 12 inches off) and keep the fishtail design. I told her the date I needed it by and it was ready even sooner! No complaints, would return. read more

I realize this is the first negative feedback but I feel that I have to be honest about my experience.I had Maria do work for me before and didn't have any issues until the last time when I asked her to change a zipper on a very expensive dress.When the dress was returned to me and I tried it on the zipper was bulging out on the back and I had to return it to her to get fixed again.Through a period of 3 weeks I attempted to call her and she didn't answer my calls, then finally she did answer and i went up to pick up the dress.Unfortunately when i tried the dress on in the store this time I couldn't close the zipper because she had to tightened the dress while resawing the zipper and doing so to remove the defect. Now the dress is too small. I attach the pictures where it is visible ( tiny holes) the original seam was.She never confessed that she tightened it and just shrugged. She never offered any refund. I can't wear the dress and niw have to find sb who will fix the issues.Wasted my tome, money and do not trust Maria any more.Attached the pictures of her sloppy job. read more

Perfect Cut. My pants were too long and they cut it nicely. They also cut my gown and adjusted the size. I really love this place! Ive been coming here for around 3 years now! She is amazing! I purchased 4 suits from Mens Warehouse and they cost me approximately $500 dollars each. They were costumed tailored when I purchased them, however I lost 30 lbs 4 months later during my Internship in U.S Department of Labor. I was upset they my new suits were baggy and looked like I had to buy new ones. I took them with her and she told me she could tailor them for my new size. She made the adjustments to the whole suit and the price was reasonable. I am happy with her work and also so her great hospitality! Literally angels sent from heaven! I was stressing out because I had huge event at work and my uniform shirt I was given was 2 sizes too big. I came here to get a romper tailored for a wedding I was attending. I dropped it off the Thursday before the wedding, which was on the following Tuesday. She assured me it would be done even if I felt I should've went in a little earlier. She told me she would text me early Tuesday morning. Come Tuesday, I didn't get a text so I decided to text and call myself but I didn't receive any replies and she didn't answer my calls either. So I drove to her shop since it isn't too far from where I live and it was closed! Her hours say she opens at 9am and I was there a little after 9am. I started to worry a little so I went to the mall hoping I'd find a backup outfit for the wedding that afternoon. I decided to call again around 10:30am and she finally answered. She told me I could pick it up around noon. The only reason I'm giving my experience 4 stars is because the romper was altered well and I was able to wear it to the wedding. Otherwise, it would be 3 stars because of the lack of communication. read more

I checked out reviews on Yelp for a tailor- seamstress and only looked at the reviews that had 5 stars as I had a garment that I just wouldn't trust to a business that I felt was " Iffy"! Well, I chose A Tailor based on those reviews and my oh my am I ever GLAD I did!!!! Maria is So Nice And she is So Good at what she does!! My advice to anyone looking to have any garment that needs tailoring is to take it to her! She completely tailored a jumpsuit for me that included taking up the shoulders and the sleeve length! It also needed to be hemmed and that was done to perfection! The Entire thing was just waaayy too big as I had purchased it when I was 40lbs heavier. That jumpsuit was So beautiful and I had never worn it as it was just too long when I first got it and had never had it shortened. Now I can wear it any time I need too.
