This was the week before the nearby colleges graduation so the whole Finger Lakes region was relatively quiet which resulted in a chill experience for us. This BnB consists of 2 houses. We chose a room in the second house. it was very quiant. Given that this was the quiet week, we had the entire house to ourselves even though it would have been fun if there were other guests around to interact with. Nonetheless, the hosts very gracious and made us feel at home by interacting with us during breakfasts and dinner. They genuinely wanted to get to know their guests and vice versa. The black Labrador Gus was also super friendly. We got the package that includes a 4-hour wine tour car service and an exclusive dinner for 2 prepared by Wally himself, on top of the daily breakfast that's included in the standard room rate. The highlight of our stay was Wally's culinary skills. He is a world-class chef in our opinion. He made the best omelette I've had in my life. Since we got the dinner package, every detail of the 4-course meal was discussed and customized with us prior to our stay. I would recommend Glass Magnolia to anyone visiting the region. Even if you are not into wines, Wally's cooking alone is worth the stay.

Jen feels like that cousin you haven't seen in years and you can't wait to visit with during the next Thanksgiving family get together. She makes you feel like you are right at home and leaves you wanting for nothing during your visit. Jen helped us find some great restaurants in the surrounding area as well as helped us decide on which waterfall to visit for an extended hike. Now about the inn. The inn is old. That's the point. It's an old farm-style house and has been converted in to a super charming B&B. We stayed in the Blue Moon Suite where we had our own section of hallway with a king room and beautiful bathroom. The period touches to the suite were fantastic, with a wrought iron style bed frame, light fixtures and exposed brick chimney in the bedroom. Breakfast was something else altogether! Saturday morning Jen made a wonderful frittata with sweet potatoes, bacon and garlic. To. Die. For. Then Sunday she made a perfect French toast casserole from Challah bread. Keep in mind, she sources nearly all of her ingredients from local farms, wineries, and coffee roasters to ensure fresh, tasty foods! We will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend others to do the same! Oh, and I forgot, she has an inn cat who loves to get scratches behind the ears. Extra bonus stars for that!

Instead, it was tasteful and interesting, with beautiful art, books and movies and games, and interesting corners in our own room and the whole house that made it a unique place to stay. Delicious coffee & snacks 24 hrs a day. A beautiful sunroom to play backgammon in and read a book. All the little touches that make a bed & breakfast a truly *special* place to stay. Came here for my honeymoon, and was impressed through and through. Beautiful house, a beautiful room, and a wonderful set of hosts. Breakfast was outstanding, and the cook catered to my vegetarian hubby and I! The best restaurant in the Cayuga Lake areas is literally a 2 minute walk from the doorstep of this B&B. The location was just perfect for taking the winery boat tour which leaves from the dock next door, for visiting fabulous nearby restaurants, for hiking, and for visiting Ithaca/ Cornell/IC. The only change I would make is the next time I'd stay in a room facing the water--not only for the view but also with the hope that the lake breeze would make it fresher smelling. Our room (#1) was spacious, but had a very distinct musty smell that did not dissipate despite our keeping windows open with the overhead fan running and then trying the AC with windows closed. Our friends who stayed in a lake view room did not have the mustiness problem. p.s. I'd also suggest updating the towels and pillows. But, the sheets were really soft!

We started our visit with walking tour of the houses with Sean who we could tell absolutely loves his job. He spoke so passionately about everything and was super knowledgeable. We then had a lovely happy hour chat with our inn keeper Anna before a fabulous dinner at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. We had a slight issue with the heating system in our room which was quickly taken care of AND Bill took the time to explain the whole system to my fiancé so we can incorporate thing we like and do not like into our home we're currently building!!! The next morning I had a lovely yoga practice while my fiancé slept in and then we enjoyed the scrumptious granola bars, Ithaca yogurt, juices and coffee! We then had a lovely walk about town and Wells College before lunch at 1833 Kitchen & Bar and then back to the Schoolhouse and Basecamp for a History of the Finger lakes with Mike! We then headed back to the inn for a little Happy Hour chat with Anna again before an amazing experience with Grace at Aurora Cooks. Our dinner demonstration with Grace was phenomenal!!! We learned a lot and she gave us some great tips on the appliance and cookware for our new home. Another breakfast with Anna before heading home this morning! So much fun and relaxation!!! On day one, we had an amazing experience at AuroraCooks! with Grace as she led a unique Butter Tasting! We drank sparkling wine and tried butters from around the world. The butter was great and the instructor, Grace was fantastic! I would definitely sign up for another event again at AuroraCooks! We also enjoyed a historical tour of Aurora by Dale.
