Great location in the lake. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff and other guests were very friendly. We will definitely stay here in the future!

We started our visit with walking tour of the houses with Sean who we could tell absolutely loves his job. He spoke so passionately about everything and was super knowledgeable. We then had a lovely happy hour chat with our inn keeper Anna before a fabulous dinner at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. We had a slight issue with the heating system in our room which was quickly taken care of AND Bill took the time to explain the whole system to my fiancé so we can incorporate thing we like and do not like into our home we're currently building!!! The next morning I had a lovely yoga practice while my fiancé slept in and then we enjoyed the scrumptious granola bars, Ithaca yogurt, juices and coffee! We then had a lovely walk about town and Wells College before lunch at 1833 Kitchen & Bar and then back to the Schoolhouse and Basecamp for a History of the Finger lakes with Mike! We then headed back to the inn for a little Happy Hour chat with Anna again before an amazing experience with Grace at Aurora Cooks. Our dinner demonstration with Grace was phenomenal!!! We learned a lot and she gave us some great tips on the appliance and cookware for our new home. Another breakfast with Anna before heading home this morning! So much fun and relaxation!!! We highly recommend visiting and taking advantage of all the activities the inn has to offer!

Maddie was a great Innkeeper and the house was immaculate. The house is right on the lake and even though it was chilly, we enjoyed sitting by the water, sipping wine and watched the sunset. I completely regret not putting sleep aside when we arrived home from our dinner at the Aurora Inn restaurant to sit by the fire and make s'mores:( Next time for sure! On day one, we had an amazing experience at AuroraCooks! with Grace as she led a unique Butter Tasting! We drank sparkling wine and tried butters from around the world. The butter was great and the instructor, Grace was fantastic! I would definitely sign up for another event again at AuroraCooks! We also enjoyed a historical tour of Aurora by Dale. The information was amazing and we could have stayed on the tour for another hour. Dale is super knowledgable and entertaining. Do yourself a favor and visit the school house to learn more about the activities that you can participate in when you stay. We also had a couple's massage which my husband and I both agreed were the best we had ever had! I will add a review for 1833 Kitchen & Bar on their Yelp page, but ask for Ben as your server and he will take amazing care of you! We will be returning to the Inns of Aurora!

We had opportunity to stay in the Good Love room this time, which includes a jacuzzi big enough for 2. Gina also was able to arrange a couples' massage in the room one afternoon which was just perfect. Breakfasts here are gourmet, and the hosts strike the perfect note of friendly and welcoming with giving you your space. I'm so glad we were able to get to know Tony and Gina this year and look forward to returning for the 2017 season. There are also quite a few restaurants within a 20 minute drive that are open through dinner time; Tony and Gina are quite knowledgeable and are always willing to provide recommendations, and they also have binders in every guest room full of area dining options, which includes hours and days open (and info on wineries too!)

Tony cooked up some great breakfasts - never had a granita in the am until then. I would highly recommend a stay here with just a few notes. We found our bed to be on the soft side, which was only an issue for us due to back problems. And if you are looking to be near a wide selection of restaurants that are open past 5, you may want to look closer to Ithaca.

So the wife and I like to go to the Renaissance faire in Sterling New York at least once a year and…read moretypically will stay at a hotel in Oswego, however this year I decided to book a bed and breakfast for us and randomly chose this place after searching online. It was pretty close in proximity to the Ren Faire so that was a bonus. Kind of looks like your standard farmhouse when you pull up, however the inside looks incredible. The owner, I think his name was Josh, gave us a brief history of the place the next morning and I believe he said it was built in the late 1800s. Like I said it's very nice inside and each of the four rooms as a bonus that you don't typically find in farmhouses, has a window air conditioner. Quick tip however for anybody reading this and considering going there, if you're like me and you prefer your bedroom to be a little on the cooler side when you're sleeping, go up and turn on that air conditioner as soon as you arrive. The upstairs rooms can get pretty warm, of course I was there at the end of July but still it's going to take a couple minutes for that air conditioner to bring it down a few degrees. But anyway we slept pretty well, I received a text message at 8:30 the next morning alerting me that there was a tray of coffee and creamer and stuff outside the door and breakfast was served just a couple minutes past 9:00. The really interesting part about this particular place was the barn. When you pull up to the house, obviously being a farmhouse there's a barn out back. Not much to look at really, just looks like a barn.. But Josh gave us a look inside as we were leaving the next morning. I should have got some pictures but the inside is fully decked out as a venue that could be used for a wedding/reception and or any other small party or gathering. There's a bar area, a stage, some really cool lighting, and an upstairs area where a lot of tables were set up. If you're thinking about having a wedding in that area and are looking for somewhere to possibly have your reception, or in theory the actual wedding as there is a stage there... By all means give this place some consideration. Outdoors has a lot of space and a few more tables, there was a fire pit and contrary to another review that was left on here a few years ago there's a permanent structure that was built for a ladies room and a men's room. Like I said we were here just a few days ago at the end of July so the Flowers that would typically be in bloom in the springtime had passed and the ones that would be coming around in another month and a half or so obviously had not bloomed yet however judging by the number of bushes that I'm seeing, I'm sure it looks quite amazing when everything is trimmed and all the flowers are out and everything is decorated. Anyway, by all means if you're looking for somewhere different than your standard hotel room to stay and you're in this area, check this place out. Pricing wasn't that much different than a king size bed would have been in Oswego and I guarantee nobody at a hotel would have brought me coffee.

The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. I don't know that I've ever had a better breakfast anywhere else. My only wish was that the chairs outside the Seneca room were Adirondacks rather than metal chairs with cushions. It rained quite a bit, but when it wasn't raining, we were unable to sit on them because the cushions were wet. Overall, I highly recommend this B&B for a great location and experience!
