Instead, it was tasteful and interesting, with beautiful art, books and movies and games, and interesting corners in our own room and the whole house that made it a unique place to stay. Delicious coffee & snacks 24 hrs a day. A beautiful sunroom to play backgammon in and read a book. All the little touches that make a bed & breakfast a truly *special* place to stay. Came here for my honeymoon, and was impressed through and through. Beautiful house, a beautiful room, and a wonderful set of hosts. Breakfast was outstanding, and the cook catered to my vegetarian hubby and I! The best restaurant in the Cayuga Lake areas is literally a 2 minute walk from the doorstep of this B&B. Be sure to eat at Hazelnut Kitchen in Trumansburg!

They never disappoint with the accommodations, the friendliness of the hosts, and let's not forget the amazing 3-course breakfasts. Where do I start???…read more This place is an absolute GEM if you are staying in the Trumansburg area. We chose to stay here for our elopement at Toughannock Falls (5 minutes away) and it was perfect in every way. We stayed in the Junior Suite which had 2 bedrooms, creating the perfect getting ready space. The bedding is luxurious and so comfortable. The room had a fireplace and the bathroom had a standing shower and a tub. I regret that I didnt take pictures of the room, only videos, but if you look on their website, they have detailed pictures of every toom available! Guests have access to the entire downstairs, which includes a living room, a dining room, a tea room with many tables, a microwave, and a tea station, and a study type room that has an honor bar and a record player. The outside grounds are absolutely stunning, with flowers everywhere. The fountain out front was the perfect location for a first look! We had a traveling hair/makeup artist and our photographer come to the location and staff were fine with this and at times, we had the whole place to ourselves. I later learned that the space hosts micro weddings up to 23 people (I think this is how many people can be hosted on the property). This hotel is self service. When you enter, there is a key to your room waiting and some info booklets. There is a number to call an on-site staff but there is not a staff in the main house all the time. It was very very quiet and comfortable. I could hear that there were other guests in the hotel at times but I couldnt make out voices or conversations which was nice. Literally the only inconvenience we ran into was when our takeout order didnt come with utensils or napkins. We couldn't find any on site which surprised me based on the other things that were provided, like ice machines, glasses, tea stations, alcohol, etc. Just a small thing to remember if you stay here! The cutest little breakfast and dinner spots are nearby as well. It really is the perfect little Ithaca retreat and so close to so many waterfalls ans activities. I cant wait to go back!

The Inn is a unique collection of houses and rooms close to downtown Ithaca - walking distance! Upon arriving, I'm greeted by hosts Madeline and Kenn--and the most amazing smells from Madeline's kitchen! Between the local apple cider and the amazing breakfasts, I tell myself calories don't count at the Inn. Some things to note: -Kenn is an architect, see if you can get him to talk about the history of building the inn -The Inn is dog friendly!! -Snag the gazebo is you're wanting some privacy -Bring hiking boots and explore the nearby trails -Book early... there might be times you can be spontaneous, but for big weekends (alumni/reunion, commencement), the rooms book up WAY in advance

Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. You will NOT be disappointed with this lovely bed and breakfast.

We got a tour of the house upon arrival - there are some common areas for hanging out and relaxing, a lovely porch, tea and little munchy things for snacks. There is a shelf with books and puzzles for indoor chill-time. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in Suite 4 and loved it. There are even outlets on both sides of the bed (useful for cpap machines!). We had tons of pillows, soft blankets, both heating and cooling in the room, bottles of water, a Keurig in the hallway for tea and coffee, honestly everything I could have hoped for. Breakfast is a cold continental-style but I was impressed with it. I had bagels and cream cheese with fresh berries and a lovely cup of coffee. There were so many choices! They have cereal, yogurt, and even dairy-free milk available. The kitchen cabinets and drawers are clearly labeled so it's easy to find utensils and plates. The hosts thought of everything! The house is located along a fairly busy road so you can hear the traffic out on the porch (personally I find it a calming sound). There are approximately a million very loud bugs outdoors at nighttime due to the proximity to the forest. The windows are great and I could hardly hear any of that from inside - just peace and quiet. Bonus - the location is just a few minutes from the state park with lovely waterfalls and a few minutes the other direction from several cute restaurants in the town. Summary - I loved everything about my stay here and would very happily stay again.

The location was just perfect for taking the winery boat tour which leaves from the dock next door, for visiting fabulous nearby restaurants, for hiking, and for visiting Ithaca/ Cornell/IC. The only change I would make is the next time I'd stay in a room facing the water--not only for the view but also with the hope that the lake breeze would make it fresher smelling. Our room (#1) was spacious, but had a very distinct musty smell that did not dissipate despite our keeping windows open with the overhead fan running and then trying the AC with windows closed. Our friends who stayed in a lake view room did not have the mustiness problem. p.s. I'd also suggest updating the towels and pillows. But, the sheets were really soft!
