Most places would have charged me for a full roll, but Lori was so kind -- she cut me just the small piece I needed (plus a little extra) and wouldn't even take payment, even when I offered. That generosity and honesty is rare. Her staff, Sam and Samantha, were also extremely friendly and made me feel like I was part of a family business. Lori has been in flooring for decades, and you can tell -- she shared nuggets of wisdom I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else, all free of charge. We got Hunter Douglas sheer shades installed throughout our home last month and absolutely LOVE them. I always saw the Custom Creations storefront driving down El Camino but then my best friend used them for her new construction home a few months ago (she was referred to Custom Creations by her builder). Her wood blinds and shutters look fantastic so of course I emailed Nick too. He was patient, had great advice, and was SO meticulous about every detail that we knew we could trust him. He helped us pick colors, took measurements, and a few weeks later the custom shades arrived! John came to install our blinds and we were also jazzed by his meticulousness. You can tell he's been doing this for decades and his perfectionism was obvious (despite working SUPER fast). Every shade is perfectly even and they roll up/down soooo smoothly! Last thing: if service matters to you, this is the company to go with. Over the course of 2ish months, I felt like I got to know Nick pretty well. This company does not follow-up on items that need to be addressed. Michael has had more than…read moreenough time to fix uneven floor boards (the flooring was put in during the late spring of 2025). I reached out to him multiple times about this issue. The project took way longer than expected and the subcontractor was consistently late in getting started. One critical day in particular, he didn't show up until noon, thus running into the workday end time that my condo association requires. I sensed that the subcontractor had other priorities at times. Michael also did not offer to take away the excess floor underlayment and the unusable floor boards. On the positive side, Michael was able to secure an underlayment with a less popular thickness, which involved extra time and coordination. One of the installers did a fabulous job with my stairs. And the floor does look beautiful. I was able to go to the warehouse and get extra samples to ensure that it was a good match for my place. That was a big help. Michael also did help me get a payment from a moving company that slightly damaged my floor. There are flooring companies whose installers are employees. I would go with one of those companies next time. I had a fabulous experience working with Brothers Home Improvement on new windows. The employees there are like family, and the company is still standing by its windows, 18 years later.

That was until he decided to sell to the current owners & he pretty much stopped caring. I had the misfortune of getting work done as the business was changing hands. I had wood steps redone & replaced my kitchen floor with what was supposed to be water resistant vinyl plank flooring. The installation was not great, (dents in frig etc) & the the vinyl started to come up along the edges of the planks within two years in spite of my diligence in keeping it dry. I called Sam to look at it to get it replaced or redone. I did not expect it to be comped, done for free or anything like that, but I did expect him to work with me. He saw the work on the steps & the kitchen & immediately started making excuses- I fired all those guys- Those were Patrick's people etc. with no attempt to work with me to repair the kitchen. He kept repeating that he fired those guys & has new crews. There was no attempt to make it right, to try and fix or replace the damage. He clear didn't want to be bothered & blew me off. Well it's been a few years & my floors which should have lasted 20 years, haven't made it. At seven years, I'm going to need to replace them again thanks to poor workmanship & & an owner that does not stand behind the work his company does. When you buy a business, you buy the goodwill as well as the guarantees. You follow up. I bought during the transition so I was screwed but it says something about the integrity of the owner, that even though he acknowledged the horrible workmanship, he made no effort to make it right or work with me. It was a huge amount of money, not sure I can afford to start over but I do know that it won't be with Sam & Absolute Flooring.

We moved into our place late last year and at the time, our floors were covered in mostly carpet and some parts of tile. We were recommended Distinctive Floors by our realtor. Martin and the folks at Distinctive Floors were quick to respond and came out to give us a quote. We found out that we had hardwood floors under the carpet (some parts were patched weirdly) and other places had cement under the tiles. They were able to match the wood in places where we had cement, patch up any damage, and stained to exactly the color we wanted all in a month. So far it's been amazing and all our family and friends compliment our floors.

Bart came in November 2023 at 5:30pm (he works hard!) and had all the latest laser gadgets to get exact measurements. He stayed for a few hours because I had a hard time deciding what type of window covering to get but was so patient with me and even ran five separate proposals with pricing for me. Once we decided, he warned us that it'll take months for the window coverings to be made and 3 months later we got a call to schedule installation. Oscar and another installer (I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he was awesome with the tech set up) came in March 2024 and made sure to call ahead before arriving, put shoe coverings on before entering, and were so friendly. They were quick with their work and offered to wait to ensure all the shades were connected to the gateway before they left. While they were there, we noticed one of the shade covers was slightly defective so Oscar ordered a replacement right away. It took another month to arrive and Fernando came to swap out the defective blind in less than 15 minutes. Every person I spoke to at Rebarts (estimator, salespeople, scheduler, installers) were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. It's obviously a family business that spends the time to train their employees and cares about their customers. Finally, I know it's almost ridiculous to have to point this out but stay with me...they didn't send me the final invoice until the job was completely done (i.e., after the defective shade was replaced). I'm working with a window company and they've been hassling me to make my final payment even though I've pointed out that the sliding patio door they installed was defective. While they agree that the door is defective, they said they've done their job of installing and the defective door is manufacturer's problem so they should get paid. Clearly they lack pride in their work but Rebarts does not. I would definitely recommend Rebarts to anyone.
