Had a great experience with this company. We needed to replace the sheer drapes in our master bedroom, and replace the lining of the drapes in our family room (they were sun damaged and we did not know relining them was an option). Aleksandra was great. It was easy to set up an appointment with her, was punctual, she was very knowledgeable about providing options for us, very professional, and gave us a very competitive quote. Tony removed the drapes in our family room and came back later to install the new/relined drapes. He obviously has a lot of experience with this, worked very quickly, and was also very professional. Most importantly we are very happy with the result. read more

We used Bay Area Window for four skylight shades. Design (Aleksandra): 5/5 Aleksandra was communicative and responsive throughout the process. She provided meaningful options and we are happy with the design. We discussed with Aleksandra that we wanted the shades installed as close to our skylights as possible, and she confirmed with the installer that that was possible. Install (David): 2/5 We did a walkthrough with David and again explained that we wanted the shades as close to our skylights as possible. He asked, and we told him, that we also wanted the solar recharging panels to be on the side where the shade collected when opened (so the panels would be less visible). To be fair, David warned us that he would likely scratch the walls and may leave gaps because the coverage around our skylights was uneven. Both of those came to pass (which I am separately fixing), but that is not why we are unhappy with the install. Rather: - Despite the fact our ceiling is flat and our skylights are flat, David installed the shades at a slight angle. When I confronted him about it, he stated he was trying to follow the wall around the skylight. I disagree that his approach accomplished that. In any event, if there were options as to how the shades were going to be installed, we believe David should have conferred with us before unilaterally making a decision. - David also installed the solar panels on the opposite side of where we discussed. David stated he had no recollection of our prior conversation. We disagree that we never discussed this, but as above, if there were options, we believe David should have checked with us before installing. After confronting David about the shade with the most severe angle he begrudgingly reinstalled it (photos attached). Aleksandra did offer a partial refund and offered to have David come back out and reinstall the shade. However, we do not have the availability to monitor David the entire time he is here, which appears to be the only way to ensure things are done as we discussed. Additionally, the 3 of the 4 corner covers have fallen from the shade that David reinstalled and we do not relish the same thing happening to the other shades. The upshot is Aleksandra is easy to work with, but if you get David to do your install you may want to supervise his work. read more

Blackout was amazing because the room darkened without a hint of light + No mess. After installation the home was left without any trace of litter Why I would not do it again -'s: Don't have any feedback that is bad. We had a wonderful experience with Bay Area Window Dressing from start to finish. We made an appointment for in-home consultation and after considering a couple of options we chose Silhouette shades from Hunter Douglas for most of the windows  - they look beautiful, very functional, and truly transformed the space. And we picked blackout drapes for the master bedroom windows and door, since we wanted to block as much light as possible, especially in the mornings.  David, the installer, was great - professional, punctual, and very respectful of our home. The entire process was smooth and easy, and everything was completed in about a month as promised. Installation was quick, clean, and stress-free. I highly recommend BAWD if you're looking for excellent service, great communication, and stunning results! read more

I have requested quotes from various of businesses and Bay Area Window dressing was the first one getting back to me. Since I have no knowledge about shades; I had lots of question at the first place about quality warranty, pricing and many more. I received completely honest answer for my each question. Even though I chosen pricey shades, Aleksandra guided base on what I need and what will be more fit to my house. I was going to get it done only for one room then when I found out prices from other companies even higher I decided to complete other rooms with shades as well, after choosing shades Aleksandra quoted me installation date up 3 weeks but in about 10 days she get back to me and said that ready to install. Installation team was professional and they were on time for schedule. Payment process was smooth which I have paid online with the link she sent it to me. Overall experience was great! If you don't know what you looking for don't hesitate to give a chance to this company. I had flawless experience. I highly recommend! read more

We just moved into a new house and needed new window shades as soon as possible. We found BAWD through our friends, who just recently installed the new shades and drapes and were very happy with the result. So we called and made an appointment with Aleksandra. She came to our home and showed us couple of options for our living room and bedroom windows, and we were really impressed with the look and quality of Hunter Douglas products. Aleksandra helped us to find the right solution for our windows - we wanted both sheer and blackout shade on each window, so we picked A Deux silhouette shades for the bedrooms and motorized drapes for our living room windows. She also was very helpful with selecting the right colors and textures, which really fit the personality and the design of our home. The next day after we finalized our order, the installer came and measured the windows. It took about a month to have our drapes and shades installed. The installer was very professional and knowledgeable, and the drapes look amazing! Highly recommended! read more

Bay Area Window Dressing super professional. Delivered just as they said they would . I would definitely recommend to others!'n

David was wonderful to work with. He patiently helped me select a beautiful set of Roman Shades, then returned within the promised timeline with the ones I wanted. The entire process was quick, simple, and painless, and I never had to leave my home. I would work with them again in a minute. read more

Alexsandra & David did a great job for us. We were shown quite a number of different types of shades (one vendor we met with only would show us one!) and chose some that we really like. It didn't take very long for the shades to arrive for installation (about 4 weeks, as they had told us 4-6). David was very efficient during the installation. All three rooms took about an hour, maybe a little more. I did not compare prices with other vendors, though I assume that they are comparable, based on what we paid. read more

We bought a house that needed window treatments throughout. We have about 30 windows/patio doors. I found Bay Area Window Dressing via Yelp and was so happy to meet Aleksandra at our new home and use her expertise. She patiently went through where I would want drapes, roller shades, and Duette honeycomb shades. She very prompted me on where to install room darkening window treatments, top down/bottom up shades, and motorized versus manual shades. There were so many choices and so many windows that I despaired I would never get through this! Aleksandra was patient and gave excellent advice. I never felt hurried or concerned. She pointed me toward colors and understood my desire not to have the house lose it's natural light. Bay Area Window Dressing uses Hunter Douglas products, which aren't cheap, but are long-lasting. The drapes were crafted in an excellent fashion and I am so pleased. The installation for the drapes and the Hunter Douglas products went very smoothly and frankly took less time than I ever imagined. The installers were highly efficient and definitely knew their profession. I can't recommend Aleksandra and her team enough. They are all truly professional and can make a scary experience more than manageable! read more

I've now worked with David from Bay Area Window Dressing a total of three times, to order cellular blinds and roller shades for the windows of my new home. Because I had so many windows, and interest in ordering different types of coverings, I did three different orders, working with him on each group of windows at a time. I recommend them highly and would order from them again without hesitation if the need arises in the future. David was extremely helpful providing me invaluable advice and suggestions as to what types of coverings were available to achieve what I wanted. I am extremely happy with the decisions I made and his work to install the coverings. He always arrived on time, was extremely professional and very pleasant, and worked quickly and efficiently. He even came back when he realized that the manufacturer delivered a cap for one of the roller shades that had a minor blemish on it. I would have been OK with it, as it was not really that noticeable at all, but he insisted on having it replaced with a perfect part at no expense. I appreciated his pride and interest in providing the best quality of work. read more

After I purchased my windows from Window Station Inc, the employees suggested that I purchase blinds for my windows from here, and once again, I don't regret my decision. After I called them, similar to Window Station Inc's service, a salesperson came to my house with a blinds "sample", and she helped me pick out the perfect blinds that fit my windows and the overall look of my condominium. She (Alexandra) also helped me find blinds that could block out light entirely (since I take a lot of naps, and I don't want light to blind my kids in the morning). After I purchased them, they were installed in only about 2 weeks, which wasn't too bad of a wait for blinds. Pros: -The blinds block out light entirely (I can finally nap in the daytime as if it's nighttime) -They open and close easily -The service was great Cons: -None Overall, very glad with the service and the product, and I highly recommend buying blinds from here for your windows. read more

We had a very positive experience with this company. Alex gave us some good suggestions, showed us pictures and samples and also took into consideration the decor of the house. She will not try to sell you the most expensive products, but will help to narrow down your choices. I am very satisfied with the result. My experience with them was very good. They were responsive, delivered in the time they said, and installed neatly and they look great!

I called this company on Monday and got my blinds installed two weeks later. Basically, this is how it works: Alex came to my house with different blinds, shades and fabrics options. You choose what you like and Alex can recommend you what's the best fit for your windows and the design of your home. I got 6 real wood blinds for my windows and vertical blinds for the sliding door. I shopped three different companies and Bay Area Window Dressing gave me the best deal. The blinds were excellent quality, and the installation took just a couple of hours. The guys who were installing my blinds came on time and they were very friendly and professional. My blinds look great and this is exactly what I wanted! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for custom made shades and blinds!!! read more

I'm so satisfied with my new window blinds/shades finally installed last Saturday after 5 months of researching, getting quotes & comparing different quotes from different HD resellers. I finally decided to go with Bay Area Window Dressing for their timely quotes, responses, followups and competitive quotes. David is very professional and provided great advice in helping me choose the right color and right product for my windows. He only measured the sizes of my windows once and had all blinds/shades installed successfully without leaving any mess in the rooms. In comparison, some other HD resellers would do the initial window size measurements and then will perform the final measurements after you decide to go with their quote, which is a bit inconvenient for me. Why can't they get the right sizes the first time? I really like all the HD products I chose and the convenience of motorizations. Highly recommended! read more

We had shades put in that were double shades. To be fair we were warned there would be a gap between the two but I had no idea they would look so ugly, there was a HUGE gap, hardware was huge/exposed, and they looked terrible, and apparently the only way to turn them into a single is to leave the top part uncapped and exposed. So now my living room still looks super off from all the hardware on the top of the curtain being exposed. None of this came cheap, it was super expensive and some better/stronger advice would have been appreciated. It was impossible for us to tell what this would really look like but they should have experience to guide us and let us know what would and wouldn't work, and would have appreciated more effort to preserve the cap on the top when they were turned into single. I hate to spend even more money but if anyone knows who can fix this please let me know thanks. read more
