We met the owner Martin from Distinctive floors from a referral from a neighbor. From first meeting with him we were comfortable working with his company. As promised he began on time, gave us work day updates and finished in a print time. We purchased engineered hardwood floors from a dealer Martin deals with. We had 4 bedrooms and office done as well as baseboards. They also did our staircase steps. We decided to redo our staircase including railings and skirting. Martin referred us to a staircase company he works with. This referral proved great as our staircase came out beautiful. Although Distinctive floors wasn't doing the staircase work they communicated with staircase company while keeping us up to speed. Distinctive floors worked great with staircase company. They were wonderful to work with around scheduling; they explained everything to me; and they provided well priced competitive quotes. The job they did was phenomenal! I couldn't believe how beautiful the floors could look given their age, and it only took 3-5 days. They were thoughtful throughout the whole process -- pointing out the areas where they wouldn't be able to "fix" (e.g. due to previous staining or water damage) and were creative around staining / finishing. This review is long overdue! My husband and I bought our first home and gave it a facelift before moving in May 2021.
